Mr. Appliance of King of Prussia
All went well. I had to pay for the repair visit, of course, but he gave me some helpful advice on selecting a new washer. Mr. Appliance tells you the name of your repair person in advance ands send a picture, so when he shows up, you know its OK to let him in. I appreciated that service.

    EZ Appliance Repair LLC
Excellent! Last minute repair call to a rental property of mine and they were able to squeeze me in. After a phone call with Lisa and Theresa they found out they had a tech nearby who could stop in and assess the situation. Neil, the Tech, was extremely professional and quickly fixed the issue. He followed up directly with a phone call to explain what work was done and the final charge. Will definitely hire again!

    Assurance Appliance Repair
A repairman from Assurance Appliance assessed my broken washing machine to determine if it could be fixed. The repairman explained the problem and though he would have made more money by fixing it, told me it was money better spent to buy a new washing machine. I appreciated the honesty and would use them again.

IRepair made time for us and was very knowledgeable about the brand (Jenn-Aire) Refridgerator/Freezer we had. He knew exactly what part we needed and got it for us asap. He even fixed the freezer door, which other repairmen couldn't. A very good repairman and a nic guy.

    Pops Appliance Repair
Our refrigerator needed servicing so I turned to Angies List. After reading reviews I selected POPS APPLIANCES. Lots of favorable reviews, family owned and local. An appointment was set; service man would be out between 9 and 11 oclock. We heard nothing until 1 oclock: Im on my way. A wasted morning, my husband left for work. At 2 oclock Pops truck pulled into the driveway. Two service men came in and began to look at the refrigerator. While they were doing that, I asked them why they didnt at least call to let us know theyd be late, I know stuff can happen. No sorry maam or I apologize instead I got Well, Im here now, arent I! in a growling tone. I was stunned that anyone would be so rude as to speak to anyone in that tone, especially a service man. You need drawer rails. I pointed out that there was ice in the frost free freezer, jamming the rails. Mr. Rude disagreed. Look, you can feel the ice demonstrating what I meant. Rude then stormed out of our home You can get someone else to fix it. I said I was going to call the office. His reply: Go ahead and call. The assistant heading out the door leaned towards me and apologizing quietly said, Im sorry. I called the office immediately and left a message that I needed someone to call. I did not say anything else. No callback. The next day I called and found out the service mans name, Pat. Even more incredible, Pat is THE OWNER of the business! Pats conduct was unconscionable and a disgrace. To boot his diagnosis was only partly correct. Additional service was needed behind the back wall of the freezer to prevent ice from forming. He just wanted to slap rails on and leave. A quickie in and out (so the speak) and the problem would not be solved. Imagine trying to get Pat back to truly fix the frig. Everyone has a bad day, but this was way over the top. My rendition above doesnt begin to convey the hostility and how it all went down. An owner has to have control of his self when conducting business. POPS has been in business for 20 years. Perhaps it is time for Pat to retire. Happily the service provider we called next was outstanding both with communication and work.

Mr. Appliance of King of Prussia
The serviceman was courteous. He reviewed the noise and mentioned to me that the motor needed to be replaced. Provided an estimate of around $440/-. Based on my research, it turned out to be just a small component replacement, costed $10/-, replaced it myself. Hence, did not hire them.

    DiFilippo's Service Co
I'm not longer in that area, but I would use them again if I were. Quality technician, responsiveness and good value. They're very qualified. It took just a couple of hours. Everything was done competently. I used them for the 36 years I was in that house.

    Tim's Appliance Repair Inc
Tim was prompt and did a great job handling situation (i.e. didn't have to buy a new oven). He was quick and was patient enough to explain everything to me (even though he didn't have to). Overall great results and using the oven frequently now!

    Aviv Appliances
BEWARE Aviv Appliances would not give us an arrival time window, so I had to stay home all day waiting for a phone call. They say that they just call an hour ahead of time and you need to be home when they get there. Their repairman arrived an hour and 45 minutes after the office staff called to say the repairman was on his way. Upon arriving the repairman looked at the machine for 10 minutes and accused us of wiping the front of the washer because he thinks it is leaking from the gasket or the detergent tray and there should be water marks on the outside of the machine because it would leak down the front. We tell him we have not wiped it and the water appears to be leaking out of the bottom of the machine. He tells us it is because we are not cleaning the machine correctly, we clean it better than most people probably do, clean the filters and run washing machine cleaner and vinegar through the washer regularly. He says there was clogs in the gasket that he cleared and shows us a little build up in the detergent tray and tells us we just have to clean those better and the leak will stop. He says that with the build up in the laundry tray and the clog in the gasket (which by the way was pretty spotless because we wipe it regularly) anyway he says that the water will splash around and leak down the front or inside of the machine and come out the bottom when these areas are clogged. He didn't even bother trying to take the panel off of the machine to see what was going on inside. It really just felt like he made up a bunch of stuff to try to get us to buy their products. He just kept saying they try the easy things first before replacing parts, ignoring the fact that we had already done everything he said, I don't even think there was a clog in the gasket, it was spotless, like I said we keep our machine very nice. He advises us to run vinegar through the system, says he is not waiting to see if it is still leaking because it shouldn't anymore. Then he spends 30 or 45 minutes just telling us about history of front load washers and detergent and how Europe doesn't have problems like US does. He blames the machines for breaking and says they aren't built to last more than 5 or 10 years, he keeps talking about his personal washer/dryer that has been working fine for 15 years, did not recognize the brand name mentioned. Then he starts blaming the US Detergents and that because we have bad detergent (Top rated Tide) we should go to their website and buy the detergent they have to avoid these problems in the future. We looked into what they're selling, and it's Amway as US based company that has been sued numerous times, and is clearly a pyramid scheme product line. So then all is said and done and we have to pay 99 + tax for him to try to sell us laundry detergent. Meanwhile the washer is still leaking after doing everything he suggested. Needless to say we will not be calling this company back for further repairs. We will contact a company not associated with a marketing scheme. I honestly don't even know how this company has so many positive reviews on Angie's list, nor how it has received a super service award. We're pretty sure we just got scammed big time. I am not giving this shady company a penny more of my hard earned money, and I would recommend anyone considering this company to seriously think twice before paying a service fee to be told to buy different laundry detergent.

Mr. Appliance of King of Prussia
Tuesday's visit didn't go well. I was quoted over $1000 for the two repairs, and I don't believe the quote to have been an honest one. The dryer motor is fine. All that may need replacing is a switch or relay. The dishwasher needs a new integrated motor/heater. I've priced the part online - before I even contacted this company the first time. The two repairs should have come in at under $300 for parts, and maybe another $300 for labor. When I disagreed with the exorbitant estimate, I was then charged about $170. For all of 30 minutes. Really? I have to admit, I didn't expect this from a company I found on angie's list.
