  • My appointment was delayed by about an hour. The reason was an unexpected amount of time needing to be spent with a patient prior to my appointment. I understand that this is something that sometimes cannot be anticipated in a medical practice. They had taken the time to properly treat a patient regardless of what it did to the schedule. That kind of compassion and thorough treatment is just what I would want for myself. So, I had no problem waiting for an extra hour for my appointment. When I was called into one of the treatment rooms I was given prompt attention. X-rays were taken and I was advised of a treatment plan.  They were compassionate and thorough with my care. Although I did not see Dr. Sauber himself, I did see the Physician's Assistant who I trust had spoken with Dr. Sauber about my treatment. He was patient and listened to any comments I made and answered any questions that I had. I was given the choice of what treatment to pursue. I will be continuing my orthopedic care with Dr. Sauber and his team.

  • I have had surgery, performed by Dr. Fowler, three times over the last ten years. The latest was for torn cartridge in my knee. The
surgery went well and I was back to normal in a couple of weeks. Dr. Fowler is very personable, kind and companionate. He takes the time to explore and offer options and to answer questions. When I had two rotator cuff tears, he advised the he could operate if I wanted but that I’d be better off with physical therapy and he was right. He is busy but I can usually get in within a week when needed. Office wait times can be lengthy but I think that it more of an UPMC issue.
