    Franco Concrete
Very good from start to finish. Franco is very easy to deal with and has a pleasant disposition. Several other homeowners on my street also had concrete work performed and were all very complimentary of their experiences. In addition, his crew was experienced and worked very well together.,

    Foundation Station Inc
They were excellent from the first meeting. His price was almost half of another estimate i had. He also fixed a couple of blocks in my front porch for free (we talked about it after his initial quote). When he came out to look at the job, he told me that he could not be responsible for the stone siding on the side of my garage. He assured me that they would do their best not to have it come down, but that he could not guarantee it. When they came to do the job, it took them 2 days longer than antocipated because they were so careful not to damage the siding. They treated my garage like it was one of their own garages, which i appreciated very much. I would recommend them to anyone and would give no second thoughts before hiring again.

Job was a disaster. He removed the stone wall and relocated it so we could widen the driveway. Wall was falling apart within 1 month. Had to hire someone else to fix it cost us $2000 extra. Sidewalks were 3 1/2 inches off level held payment until he fixed that, and then driveway cracked 5 days after it was poured and he did nothing to repair it. Driveway was contracted to be 5" thick he framed it with 2X4 so it's only 3 1/2. Sued him and won $3000 dollar judgement. Be aware of this guy and do not use his services. This was a big money project and he did a horrible job.

    Mistrik Construction LLC
These guys were very nice. George seemed to be genuinely concerned with providing good service at a fair price. I was on a budget and George really cut me a break. The workers were pleasant and fun to have around. The job started out as just a retaining wall and grew to all of the other items mentioned as they really needed to be done. They worked to help me get the job done at a price that I could live with.

Dun Rite Construction and Paving LLC
Working with Gary and Dun Rite Construction was able as easy of a process as I could have hoped for. It can definitely be an uneasy and difficult decision hiring a contractor because it's a significant amount of money to spend without any guarantees of the final product. Contractors in general are notorious for delaying, not returning calls, not showing up once they've gotten their deposit and the list goes on. I can almost guarantee you will have very few problems working with Gary and his crew and you'll love the finished product.
From start to finish, they were amazing. Gary and his crew replaced the roof and created an amazing walkway and front porch. We also had a major problem in the back yard with water buildup because of how the yard is sloped. They dug and installed a drainage system around the house, tied it into the gutters under the ground and now the water flows nicely onto the street rather than building up in the yard.
While they do specialize in areas like asphalt/concrete driveway and retaining walls, they are an overall great construction company. They likely won't be the cheapest option you have but the quality of work is outstanding.
I forgot about posting this review last summer when the work was done but remembered today because I'm having Gary do additional work in a home that I just purchased. Thanks again for everything.

    Brooks Handyman & Remodeling
We are very pleased with the work that was done and the experience of working with Brooks Handyman and Remodeling. They did work for about 3 weeks on our home. We initially contacted them about repairing some water damage and holes in our drywall. They were able to evaluate the problem, fix the holes, and add some protective barriers to (hopefully) prevent and/or mitigate the damage in the future.
They performed many services for us and were incredibly nice about us adding things to the to do list. Everything was done the right way. They were pleasant to have in our home for 3 weeks and made having the work done as easy on us as it could've been.
One other thing we appreciated was that they weren't put off by having our young children there too. They would let them watch their work when it wasn't dangerous and even worked around the youngest's nap schedule when it was possible. They didn't have to do any of that but we sincerely appreciated that they did.
Their price was reasonable and the work done was great. We would absolutely hire them again and would recommend that you do too!

    JMK Concrete Specialist
We were given an original timetable of May to have this work done.  We did not hear from  the contractor until  2 days before the actual work was started in early August.  The concrete was poured in 2 separate divisions (area near top of the driveway & front door area pad on day 1, lower portion of driveway and sidewalk on day 2) over 2 different days.
We left for a scheduled vacation shortly after the completion of the work.  Upon our return we discovered that concrete had been splashed on the brick front wall of our garage area.  After a heavy rain we also discovered that the height of the new concrete driveway was higher than the original driveway.  Therefore our brick sidewalk that is beside the garage wall and leads from the front of the house to the back patio now floods constantly.  The water gathers on the brick sidewalk and does not run down the driveway.
After the first winter the lower driveway and sidewalk showed some signs of pitting.  After the second winter (2012) the lower driveway and sidewalk concrete areas became pitted and aggregate stone was showing through the top of the concrete. Ironically, the upper driveway area and the front door concrete pad did not show this type of problem.
A registered letter with accompanying photos was mailed to JMK Concrete, marked to the attention of owner Joseph Knapp.  The envelope was returned as undeliverable.  We then started calling the phone number  used when speaking to the contractor prior to the job.  Over 20 phone calls were made, messages left, letter re-mailed ...... Mr. Knapp responded to our first group of phone calls just one time.  He assured me he would come to our house to assess the three problems: (1) concrete on the brick front wall, (2) raised level of driveway at side walkway that was causing flooding and (3) the beginning of the lower driveway and sidewalk pitting.  He never showed and never returned any other phone call.   We continued to make phone calls and leave messages for several more months.   No response.  This contractor is still in business as we have seen his trucks on the road and the company has advertisements in local media.
It is now 4 years after this concrete was poured.  The lower driveway has large areas of pitted concrete as does the sidewalk. We have given up trying to get the contractor to contact us.  The concrete is still splashed on the front of our garage wall, the sidewalk connecting to the driveway still floods and the lower driveway and sidewalk are still falling apart.   We were very please with the initial work, but are very upset that the ensuing problems have never been addressed by the contractor - Joseph Knapp.  His work replaced concrete that was over 30 years old.  Our current driveway and sidewalk looks worse than the material he was hired to replace.

    Mario Palombo

During the bid phase of the project Mario offered excellent consultation on the do's and don'ts of a project like this.

Mario and his crew did a brilliant job.  Since I was going to be out of the country when the work was done, I told Mario to use his judgment and experience on the exact geometry of the two driveway legs and the parking pad.  The finished project was perfect.

    Feerst Concrete & Landscaping llc
First, I must say that the whole experience went smoothly from beginning to end. When we finally found Feerst, we found a gem and in our own community too! We received quick response to our phone calls to come out for an estimate. Within a few days they were able to come out and give us an estimate. Tim, came out and was not only friendly, but very knowledgeable and helpful with the discussions on the sidewalk. After putzing around with another contractor, who, by the way, wouldn't come out and insisted on and quot;evaluating us to see if we were a fit firstand quot;, we went with our gut instinct and took a deal with Feerst. We were not disappointed. We were given a date for late September and surprisingly they were able to get us in this week. The walk looks beautiful and is such an improvement. They were prompt, efficient and got done in short order. Other than the taped off area, everything was cleaned up and we had asked him to fill in the holes with dirt (it's not free everyone) and they did a very clean job.
My suggestion is to not let the and quot;Band quot; rating fool you. I give this company an A+ and hopefully will be able to plan a new project for the future. Thanks Tim and CREW!!!!
