They showed up on time and finished in a timely manner. Andy came out while we were on vacation as promised and gave us an estimate which was far better than Bakers Water Proofing gave us. We called A-1 when we got back from vacation and within a week the project was done. Friendly workers and worked until we were satisfied.Thank you!

We hired Bakers Waterproofing to level our driveway, The quote was some where around 2200; I am not sure of the exact amount give or take a couple thousand. We signed a contract in April when the salesman came out and did what he had to do plus gave him a deposit. Well in mid June the workers come out to do the driveway and tells my husband they can't do it and left. They said it was because they did not have the proper equipment and they said that we would get a phone call in a couple of days to reschedule.Well we never received that phone call so my husband calls and asked to talk to some one in charge and were told hey were all out of the office but they were sending our money back.Remember we had a signed contract. If we backed out they keep the deposit but if they back out no accountability. We wanted the driveway repaired so I called and once again no one was available to talk.I finally said to the office worker that we need to talk to some one and solve this. Well finally someone got on the phone and said the project was under estimated and i said by how much and they had to send some one new out and they would put the new estimate in an email. Well the new estimate came in around 5800 and that wasn't everything that was to be done but they would give me 700 off. Now lets see 2200 vs 5800 signed contract and only 700 credit.I was willing to meet them half way ; but that my friend is called bait and switch or if not something very close. I ended up going to A-1 Concrete Leveling 412-323-2400 and the cost was $2000 and I am a happy person so buyer beware!

I really couldn't be any more pleased with Keystone so I'll try and write a fair and honest review. My overall experience with them was fantastic. I had a home I inherited when my father passed away and we had been fixing it up over the past year. I knew there was an issue in the basement with water but I never thought it was a major issue until the realtor walked through. I contacted Keystone and Mike met me at the property on a Saturday afternoon. That's something I appreciated since the property is about an hour from where I live. I was running about 15 minutes late and Mike was actually there early so he had been waiting on me for probably 25 minutes. Most other contractors would have left and rightfully so. This isn't cheap work and if you go into a problem like this, I wouldn't recommend going with the cheapest option. I was in a bind because of how much money I had already spent on the property and Mike worked with me to get to a number I was comfortable with. We ended up agreeing on a price that day but I had a ton of work in front of me because I needed to completely gut the basement and demo a bathroom. Four days after I told Mike I was done with my part on the basement, there was a crew working at the property. Most of the time, I can't even get contractors out for an estimate that quickly. Dave F and his crew worked their behinds off. I still have no idea how they installed 100 ft of drains in 2 days but those guys have my respect for sure. There's no easy access to the basement so it's up and down 20 stairs each time. The place was spotless when they left and it was much cleaner than I had left it for them. I really appreciated the time they took to sweep everything out. They even helped me out by jack-hammering the 4x4 slab where the old shower was in the bathroom (even though I really wanted to rent a jackhammer and do it myself but my fiance was concerned I'd lose a toe). One of the best features in my opinion is the warranty. They guarantee you won't have water within 3 feet (i think it's 3 feet) from the walls in. They obviously can't control water coming up through the main drain of the house. The warranty is transferable so that's a great selling feature for me. And I love the app. Think about how many times you go down into an old unfinished basement. How long until you'd know if there was water down there? The app and notifications will tell you if the pump isn't working and how much it pumped out. There's also a backup in the event of lost power. My only criticism would be the fact that they do use subcontractors. I get it because it reduces costs and helps provide lower costs to customers. But I certainly don't have any issues about the work they did. Those guys worked 2 12-hour days to get it done. Thank you again Mike and Dave for everything.

Frank thoroughly explained to us what he thought was the cause as well as a proposed solution. After having already gotten a couple of other estimates, his explanation made the most sense. He didn't pressure us at all and told us that he thought the repair work was not immediately necessary. So we've decided to hold off for now but when we're ready to proceed, we definitely plan to hire AquaGuard.

Job was a disaster. He removed the stone wall and relocated it so we could widen the driveway. Wall was falling apart within 1 month. Had to hire someone else to fix it cost us $2000 extra. Sidewalks were 3 1/2 inches off level held payment until he fixed that, and then driveway cracked 5 days after it was poured and he did nothing to repair it. Driveway was contracted to be 5" thick he framed it with 2X4 so it's only 3 1/2. Sued him and won $3000 dollar judgement. Be aware of this guy and do not use his services. This was a big money project and he did a horrible job.

Everything went well.  The team kept us informed about what they were doing.  They cleaned up each day, and were very courteous.  We had a small problem one year and the company was very quick to get back to up and resolve the issue.  I have recommended them to a neighbor and a family member and both hired them to fix their wet basement problems.  We have been with them for over 20 years and they are still the company that I would recommend to anyone that is having a water problem in the basement.

The crew worked extremely professional and in a timely fashion. Job took a total of three days.  I was expecting the job of breaking concrete in my basement  by the foundations to be a huge mess but these guys had it under control and a clean fashion. They took the time to make sure my house was not effected by the dust and work.  New under floor drains where in with new pump by end of second day and third day was the concrete patch work and final cleanup.   Great job overall and I would highly recommend this company.  Its been just over a month now since work was done and my basement is a complete turnaround from how it use to be. Thank you.

The owner contacted me via email based on an article that ran in the newspaper. He came to our facility and introduced himself. He was able to start two days later. He had a great crew and the work was completed as promised.

We were given a total estimate of $8900 for three jobs by owner Jason Lapay.  The first job was to demo and remodel a shower stall for $1800, the second was to build a bulkhead and finish some drywall in our game room for $600, the third was to demo and remodel a full bath for $6500.  Jason needed one third of the money up front, another third halfway through, and the final third when finished.  We were told the work would take about three weeks, and that the shower stall would be done in a couple days. We payed the first third, $3000, on 1/9/16 after our estimate review.  At this time Jason told us to go to Pro Source and choose tile.  He also told us that he usually uses 12x24" tile, but we can choose what we like.
On 1/16/16 we made it to Pro Source and easily found tile we like for both baths.  The salesman there told us it would take about a week to get the tile, and that we should let our contractor know right away.  We figured that's not a problem because they could work on the game room, or we just use the shower at my parents house while they demo the other bathroom.
Day 1.  Monday 1/18/16.  Mike (of J & B Remodeling) showed up that morning and began demo on the shower.  I told him that we need to let Jason know that the tile needs ordered right away.
Day 2.  Tuesday 1/19.  Mike showed up again and continued work on the shower.  He could only work a couple of hours because he came upon plumbing that Jason would have to address.  Mike informed me of the situation and called Jason to let him know.  At this time, I also spoke to Jason and reminded him about the tile, explaining that Pro Source had all of our information and knew that he was our contractor.  He said that he would get it ordered.
Day 3.  Wednesday 1/20. No show.  I called the office and left a voicemail.
Day 4.  Thursday 1/21. No show.
Day 5.  Friday 1/22. No show. I call Jason in the morning.  He says he will be there Monday, and that he ordered the tile from Pro Source, and will take 7-10 days.
Day 6.  Monday 1/25/16.  No show.  I call him in the afternoon, he tells me that he texted me and that the tile will be too expensive and that he'll bring samples of what fits our budget.  The tile we chose  averaged about $4.00/sq ft for the two baths.
Day 7.  Tuesday 1/26. No show.
Day 8.  Wednesday 1/27.  I call at 9:45am since no one has arrived yet.  Jason calls at 9:55 and says he is on his way.  He arrives with his son, and tells me that its take your child to work day.  I found that strange since national "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" is April 28th this year.  He brings samples and works on plumbing. I tell him that we would like to see samples closer to what we had picked out. And tells me that he will drop some off.  I also expressed some disappointment with the "no shows", and he insisted that he texted me on Monday.  He showed me a text on his phone from 12/31/15.  Even after I pointed out the date and explained that it was from the day of the estimate, he insisted.   He then showed me a text to my number with the wrong area code.   At this point, I'm growing concerned about who we hired.  And a quick Google search reveals that J & B Remodeling has a grade of F with the BBB.  I also discover that an article on Angie's List that Jason told us he wrote on change orders, was actually written by Michael Schroeder.  Jason simply had an eight word quote.  https://www.angieslist.com/articles/change-orders-fix-construction-curveballs.htm
Day 9.  Thursday 1/28.  Terry shows up and works on the shower drywall and base.
Day 10.  Friday 1/29.  Terry shows up and works on the shower drywall and base.
Day 11.  Monday 2/1.  Traded texts and phone calls with Jason about tile.  Finally settled on tile from Home Depot.
Day 12.  Tuesday 2/2.  Jason texts me. Telling me tile will be in Thursday and they will start tiling then. I remind him that the game room can begin anytime, and he says that will start then as well.
Day 13. Wednesday 2/3.  No work done.
Day 14. Thursday 2/4. Terry shows and begins tiling shower.  Mike and Brian show and do the roughwork on the bulkhead in the game room.  It also appears that some other work was done based on the dust.
Day 15. Friday 2/5.  Terry finishes tile. Still has to do grout. No other work is done.  On this night, my wife and I discuss the quality of the tile work.  Grout joints are uneven. Some tiles are not square. Tile surfaces are uneven. Several of the 2x2" tiles on the floor are loose.  At several places, thin set is coming up through the grout joints to the tile surface. Dabs of thin set have gotten on the floor and toilet seat.  I also discover that left over mortar from the shower floor was dumped behind my grill on the back porch. Small pieces of tiles are scattered through the p-gravel around our porch. No wiring or other work is done for the exhaust fan.
Sunday 2/7.  We call Jason and discuss these issues.  We send him pictures as requested.  He says that Terry can fix all of these.  I tell him that I want him to come look at the work before anyone comes into my house to do work.
Monday 2/8.  Jason looks at the work and says they can take the tile down and Terry will re-do it to our liking. He states that they knew the walls were bowed. I asked why they didn't fix them when they were torn down to the studs. He said that wall is shared with the other bathroom. I told him my wife and I will discuss it and give him a call.  He says to let him know by the end of the day.  At 4:34pm, I call him with the following offer:  "We've made a deposit of $3000.  Take the tile down and repair the shower to where its ready for tile. We will pay the full $1800.  Finish the work in the game room. We will pay the full $600.  Then refund the remaining $600 to us."  He stated that we will not get any money back because we cost him work time.  We told him to let us know what he is going to do to make it right.  He said that he has to talk to a couple people, and that he will get back to us.
We haven't had any communication from him since.  I've called Jason several times over the next two weeks, leaving voicemails each time.

Well this was my 2nd sump pump installation by Champion, the last was in 2006. In 2006, they get As the whole way across but this time not. First of all, they left cigarette buds on my back porch (guess they smoke). The white wall used the time was half the thickness compared to the 2006 job. I had to ask them to come back twice to clean up more. The white wall was filthy and they came back and cleaned it off. They also did not plug in my dryer properly and had to make an appt to have someone come and reconnect it.   I wish the service was the same it was in 2006 but it wasn't.   The cost is comparable to other companies
