Water Heater Repair And Installation reviews in New Cumberland

    Comfort Zone Heating & Cooling
I was a customer for over a decade. There are definitely better HVAC companies to select, and the slight price advantage Comfort Zone offers is not worth it. I had a few issues with repairs over the years and was especially concerned with the company after the install of my furnace 5+ years ago when UGI came for a routine inspection and red tagged the new furnace for a safety issue of not having an external shut off valve. I called about the issue, and it was promptly fixed. So, I let it go as an oversight. However, last season when I had an issue with a thermo couple unit going bad, an inexperienced tech sheered off the part, taking my $25 repair to a several hundred dollar one to replace a valve. I called in another HVAC company who confirmed the botched repair attempt. I discussed with CZ owner, Aaron, and he said the tech just could not get the part off but offered no apology or compensation for his tech's lack of experience. A new thermo couple unit was also added by CZ at the same time as the valve replacement, and the thermo couple went bad a couple of weeks later. This time, I insisted an experienced tech be sent, who knew how to install the thermo couple unit. Ironically, the inexperienced tech also came to watch the thermo couple install. Several days later, I was billed for the replacement of the thermo couple unit. When I called to ask why the part would not be under warranty, I was told to forget about the bill. I forgot about the bill until I received a 2nd one a couple of weeks later. I again called and was told to ignore the bill. Fortunately, I had no additional issues for the rest of the heating season and my service contract and can now switch to someone I trust.

The plumber and plumber's assistant were punctual, installed the new, high-end on demand hot water heater and rerouted the plumbing with new pipes to make it more effecient.  They cleaned up everything upon their departure.  Very professional and will use again if I require a plumber.

As always from Mr. Lynch - a thorough and professional service call. Wouldn't trust another HVAC service contractor in Greater Hbg. area.
Never any unfinished nor partial work done - "you can take that to the bank".

Fred Cramer - HVAC Gold Certified
Fred was punctual, courteous, and reliable. He did everything he promised to do and even drained my old heating system of water even though that was not part of the estimate.  The job took about two days because the water heater is located at the opposite side of where the gas line comes into the house.  The vent into the chimney for the water heater was also replaced.
Fred spent the first day on the hot water heater replacement and the second day on putting in the new gas furnace.  After everything was done he cleaned up and tested the new units.  He finally educated me about my new systems and answered any questions.
I would recommend Fred to anybody!

They replaced the water heater and it doesn't work that great but they want to charge us to come back out to look at it. They have been out about 20 times and they are usually very good, but this last time they just weren't. Before this last time I would have said they were excellent and I would have recommended them to everybody. We have a maintenance plan with them so they come out twice a year to go over the heater and air conditioner, they change the filter, and they make sure everything is running as it should. They put the little slippers on their feet so they don't dirty the floor, they are professional, and they get the work done. They have replaced a lot for us and they are usually very good and professional. Their quotes are generally right on target.

Had water in basement and thought it might be leak from old water heater.  Tech came to check and thought the water was from outside (which was possible).  Gave expensive quote for a new water heater to replace the 14+ year old existing heater.  Declined the work.  $99 is a lot to pay for the diagnostic and quote.

The work was done as scheduled, for the cost quoted, and they did a good job cleaning up after the work. We were very pleased with work.
