    Movin' Murdy
Great service! Professional and courtesous. On time arrival, and the whole crew was focused to the task at hand. No problems. Great job! And all done in 4 inches of snow! Will use again. Highly recommended.

    Movin' Murdy
This company is absolutely amazing from the owner to every single member of the crew. Because of the seller of the home we were moving into, we ran into a major delay on the day of move in. The seller hadn't moved out yet!! Movin' Murdy and Joe (owner) reworked their entire schedule during the busiest part of their season (early August) to help us. They moved us in efficiently and without any damage to belongings or either home. Not only that each person on the crew was quick with a smile and reassuring words. In addition, we had overestimated what we could pack and move on our own and they took care of that for us too. They are extremely professional, easy to work with and very pleasant at all times, no matter the weather conditions or stress level. One of the best companies I've ever had the pleasure of working with in my 57 years of experience.

    All Ways Moving & Storage
I honestly have mixed feelings. Everything went well at first--the office staff whom I interacted with during my initial call was very nice. Al was the estimator who visited my home and he was friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. Although I had a much lower bid from another moving company, I had a better feeling about All Ways given my interactions with them thus far and the company's solid reputation.
As promised, the afternoon before the move I received a courtesy call letting me know that the crew would arrive between 8:30-9:30 am the next morning. On moving day, the four young men arrived right on time at 8:40 am and throughout the entire day I was impressed by their efficiency. The whole move ended up being two hours shorter than estimated and everything seemed fine...until after they left and I noticed a number of scratches and broken items. My piano, for example, had a noticeable scratch on the front and was rocking from side to side. I fully understand that some breakage is to be expected, but I have had three long distance and four local moves under my belt, including one from out of the country, and in this case there was far more damage than I would have expected for a local move. There were other instances of seeming carelessness as well. When my treadmill was moved out of my previous residence, there was some noticeable damage to the door frame. At the new house, I asked them to leave my treadmill in the garage for the time being as the room it's supposed to go into would not be ready for two weeks, and they let the heavy treadmill sit right on top of its own cord causing a small slit. Luckily, the cord still works, but it could have been worse.
All in all, I had a very mixed experience. There was a lot to like about All Ways Moving, and I feel like this must be an isolated incident as I see no other reviewer having the same issues I did, but I was definitely not satisfied with the end result.

    Comprehensive Labor Solutions LLC
They were good. There are no negative things that I could say about them. It would be all positive. They came and did what they needed to do and left which I liked. The price of the service was good and they were very nice. I would use their services again in the future if I need to.

    GUARDIAN CARGO LOGISTICS
I would NEVER use Guardian Logistics.
Quick to get you and quot;lockedand quot; in to using them but then after that you are sort of just and quot;droppedand quot; and you don't hear back from them. You are kept in the dark about your move and they contract out with other companies to move your car. Most companies do this however at least you have ONE contact person that coordinates your entire move. Guardian won't return phone calls or emails if you have an inquiry about your move!
Save yourself the time, energy and headache...book with a large reputable company! You will be glad you did.

    Marodi Transfer & Storage
It was a good experience. There was a minor issue where we had to file a claim due to an accident, but they paid the claim and took care of the accident and were very responsive. Their pricing was good, comparable to competitors.

    James Moving Co Inc
The 3 member crew: DB, Gene, CS arrived with the truck at 8:55 at E-Z Storage in 2654 Mosside blvd, Monroeville, PA. As a courtesy, I was called 15 minutes in advance. The truck came right on time (good omen!). In about one hour all items were loaded. The size of the truck was right on. Professionalism and care were exhibited at all time. Proper thinking applied for effective LIFO. The truck followed my car to my home 15 miles away. Although it meant more effort by the crew, the truck was parked at a distance from the house to prevent damage to the concrete slabs. Seven Ikea units were disassembled and reassembled in the attic. Dale did a great job. Some items already in the house were relocated to make room for the units coming from storage. Each package/box from the truck was laid at the entrance of the house and was quickly opened to allow me to determine destination: rooms, attic, basement, garage. This process went on very smoothly. Dale was able to disassemble partially the treadmill to be positioned in a room in the finished basement. All were very skeptic considering initially the width of the door vs. the size of the equipment. To everybody's surprise Dale did it. At 3:55PM the job was wrapped up. The bill was exactly as per Susan (at the James Moving office) verbal quote, hence no surprises. I was not asked for any down payment. No damages. Again, an excellent job performance. Highly recommended.

    Roadrunner Moving & Storage Inc
Roadrunner was very professional. Since our move is local (within one town) and fairly straightforward (2/3rds of our stuff is in a garage still packed from a previous move), price became the bottom line. Roadrunner was the most expensive of the 3 companies we called ($165/hr for 3 movers, 1 truck). Again, since our move is simple, we didn't think it was worth the extra $50/hr. Their travel charge was a pre-calculated rate from their location to mine, i.e., I didn't have to worry about them getting caught in traffic and me paying for it. That's a big plus. But we happen to live 40 min. away so even a preset travel time was getting a little pricey. One price extra that I didn't like was a $50 charge for moving our digital piano. They understood that what we had was a Clavinova, not a "real" piano. I personally don't think our Clavinova requires any special moving besides getting wrapped up in blankets like any other piece of furniture. But they said that sometimes digital pianos might not be constructed well and require extra handling. Some people might appreciate the extra care. I just happen to not think in this case that it was needed. In the end, we chose a closer mover (also with preset travel time) who was cheaper and had a decent rating on AL.

    Precision Moving Co
Great. We almost chose to move with Precision but since our move is so local (within one town) and simple (2/3rds of our stuff is in a garage still packed from a previous move), we ended up choosing another Angie's List mover based on price. The cost per hour wasn't a huge amount ($125/hr versus $115/hr) but other extras started adding up. Precision does charge actual travel time, i.e., we get charged if they get caught in traffic, and they estimated 45 min. from Somerville to Lexington (it seemed long to me but they explained that a truck will take longer to navigate than a typical car). For a Saturday morning we probably wouldn't run into problems (who knows about the afternoon return trip) but that's just one more thing to worry about while moving. The other thing they charged for was $10 per appliance. We only had two but they were already packed and secured from our cross country move but we would have still been charged the $10 each. One plus was that they charge per 15 min., they don't round up to the half or whole hour. Bottom line was price. If the other mover we chose isn't available on our date, we'll still call Precision.
