FMcDonough ContractingEric was last on site in September of 2017, and before those three days was on site in March of 2017 for three days, with the condition that the review would be updated to reflect his efforts to remedy the situation. This experience has resulted in consistent arguing about no shows and the amount of money invested in supplies that cannot be returned due being purchased over a year ago: Black Vessel Sink $90 Cabinet to customize $20 Plywood $50 (Eric told homeowner to cut it out and he would purchase it due to his no showing- he has still yet to collect it or pay for it) Faucet $90 Tile $100 Cement $40 Trim $80 Outlets $30 Additionally, Eric damaged the dry wall when attempting to install the plywood and it requires repair. Despite dozens of no shows and false promises to reimburse for supplies, Eric has yet to do either. Please note, none of this experience is about my opinion, it is a timeline of what still hasnt been complete besides attempts to create a contract, offer extended time, and pay more to complete the jobs. At this point I am requesting (which Eric previously agreed to) Eric purchasing the remaining supplies so that I can work with a new contractor who can customize it in their own way. The original review was first posted in May 2017 and is being updated to reflect the lack of a solution provided by the business. Homeowner has begun seeking mediation but the company has not complied.- Dante D.

A8 Point Construction & Remodeling IncWhen I chose to take my kitchen to my new home, I contracted the carpenter who originally designed and built it over 25yrs ago. Altho he did a remarkable job of adding a few more cabinets to fill the larger space, his health and family issues soon made it clear I would need other help. So I turned to Angie's list where I found Matt McCune and 8 Points Construction. Not only did Matt give me full and prompt attention, he gave a carefully thought out bid that included suggestions to finish my ideal kitchen with the least expense. He worked well with my original contractor, set up a schedule, coordinated all the steps, and provided some really superior, experienced crafts people.
Everyone from his extraordinary carpenter, Pete Carson, to the most meticulous painter I EVER watched, Elaine Castronovo, worked hard to do exactly what I wanted, even though my instructions were "think Rock Pile". They all did such an amazing job matching in new, functional pieces to the style and color I wanted. And when I did a Columbo-ish "...oh...just one more thing..." about a 4-ft spice rack, Matt and the crew were courteous and obliging without hesitation. I now have a terrific large spice cabinet for little extra money.
At all times 8 Points were courteous, careful and always cleaned up after each phase, treated my family, my home and my dog with great respect. I'm thinking of finally putting in an entertainment center. I know EXACTLY who I'm going to call!!
Thank you, Angie's List members, for recommending 8 Points Construction.
And Thank you, 8 Points Construction, for a fantastic job of not only matching my existing kitchen, but making it everything I'd envisioned. I'm too happy for more words.

ACarpentry & Related Svc IncBill was professional, extremely competent, punctual, reasonable, honest and friendly. He repaired our front steps that had sunk and replaced the support posts for the landing. He also installed a 270 sq ft of hardwood flooring in our family room (we supplied the hardwood). Bill actually saved us money on the floor install by constantly measuring and minimizing waste. We were able to return two boxes of flooring. We only had 3.75 sq ft of waste. It's hard to find good contractors and Bill is a keeper. He does the work himself and is quite maticulous. I would not hesitate to hire him again.- James H.
