John C Yurcina Registered Land Surveyor
Excellent. He is very professional and responsive. He has done this work for years so I found him very trustworthy and after an earlier hire for a different project of a person just starting out there was no comparison. So I learned the hard way go with experience and it paid off with this 2nd project and how seamless it went. I would definitely hire Mr. Yurcina again due to his excellent customer service skills and attention to his craft.

    Graham's Tree Service LLC
came out Sept. 1, 2018. He was very personable and friendly and gave us a bid. He said he could do in 2 weeks; after 3 weeks we hadn't heard anything so my husband called. He returned our call and said he would be out in a week and a half. Never showed. Never called us to explain.

I got two quotes on this job from two highly rated members of Angie's list.  I would have used either one but Woodchucker's had an opening for 24 hours after quoting they work.  They did the work as agreed for the price as agreed and the owner was quite friendly and checked with me to make sure that I was satisfied.

The overall experience was great. The owner was on site throughout the entire project, he and his workers were all very profession. They worked very efficiently and did a really great job completing the project. Would use Nittany Landscape Contracting again for sure.

We've had different lawn services but overall, Tuma has been our best and most reliable go-to lawn care for over 30yrs.  And Randy Tuma still has most of the same crew!  Chris has been phenomenal at satisfying my landscaping design needs; Mimmo (?) is my favorite yard-crasher; Joanne a super phone-contact lady, and Frank has always helped with ideas to create or improve features in my landscape.  From hauling dirt to spacing rocks and just being available, the whole Tuma crew has been remarkably professional and consistent.  The plants they've brought have been hardy, healthy and growing strong.  I've asked that they call before coming out so I can contain my dog, and they've never missed a call.  We've had cheaper lawn services, but in this case, by staying with Tuma, we've been getting more than we pay for.  Now that we're members of Angie's List, we wanted to commend this company for their dedication, helpfulness and professionalism toward us all these years.  Thank You!

    Woodchuckers Tree Service
The owner of the company was knowledgable and willing to answer my many questions about why my trees were dying, and what good replacements might be. Helped me make an educated decision on whether the trees should be saved or removed.

WOW!!! I am SO happy with the results!!! I found Bill on Angies list he answered my call and was out the same day to look at the job. He heard everything a wanted. I do not have a sense of design and did not know anything about plants or names of things and I told him I didn't have time to go to a nursery with a 5 and 3 yr old to pick out items. I told him, I trusted his choices and job skill. Our property is a duplex and we live on one side. I wanted something very low maintence especially when we move to another county we don't want to be coming back to maintain with mulch, etc.. I wanted something that was new and modern and I loved the look of river rock. He suggested a 2B river gravel, which had the colors of river rock, but is less of a tripping hazard since it is a rental property. Within a few days he sent me a proposal with the scope of the work and listed all the items he was going to install. Since my husband was in landscaping about 15 years ago, he knew exactly what the plants were and said that Bill picked really nice quality low maintence, attractive items. We loved the price too! I called him and requested him to put me on the list. He said it would be about 3 weeks out and of course weather dependent. We have had awful weather which puts a delay on the landscaping business. but he was at our house about 3 1/2 weeks out. Just like he said. My husband said it will be a 2 day job. But he had the best 3 guy crew with him. And they had those ugly old fashion plants gone, and everything done within 4 1/2 hours. AND I CANand quot;T EXPRESS ENOUGH HOW AWESOME IT LOOKS!!!! It totally changed the look of our house!!! I am even more proud to rent this place out now! He absolutely heard everything I wanted! If I knew what I was doing, I would have picked out everything the same!!! AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE the gravel choice. That was so smart of him to pick the smaller rock.... And while he was doing the work, he had picked out pink Azalea for the middle of the duplex, but he wasn't happy, he wanted something taller, so he took back the azalea and picked up a skyrocket pencil holly. I was so impressed!!! I love the placement of the plants, the whole over design is STUNNING! I could tell he takes pride in his skill and his work, and his guys follow his leadership. they were awesome! He is know in my contact list in pen. When my husband came home from work and couldn't believe they got it all done. He stayed outside admiring the work for 30 minutes. In fact, we both love his work we hire him to weekly maintain our property next year since we are under contract to move to our new home in September. We also want him to landscape our new house too.

The men who did the job were absolutely fantastic and did a wonderful job.  I thought the cost was a bit high especially for the small patio but it was something that needed to be done.  The only issue I had with Tuma was they did not initially give a start date and we waited over a month between signing the contract and giving them a deposit and the start of the job.  It would have been nice if they had said it could be a while before they started..

One of the most frustrating and truly disappointing experiences of my life. I provided a materials deposit worth 50% of the job to Mr. Andresky. All of the materials were supposed to arrive immediately. On a deposit of $21,900, less than $6000 worth of material has arrived at my house. He continually lies about the work schedule, remaining materials delivery, and after 3 months has provided very little. The work that has been completed is already falling apart and I have not seen the same employees on the job site more than a day or two at a time. Mr Andresly was supposed to be leading the job but after issuing the deposit check has disappeared from the job. Occasionally he will drop off small value material to pretend that he is still engaged in the job. ( less then a couple hundred dollars in value) and work for an hour or two doing very little and then diasappear with a false comittment of work continuation.  The typical string you along and do nothing approach.
I have recently learned that he has a pattern of burning clients as well as suppliers and has no assetts worth pursuing. He is a slick talking and will try and be-friend you and your family members only to burn you. My motivation for posting this on Angies List is for public awareness as this is VERY real and criminal behavior. I will be pursuing this to the fullest extent of the law knowing that I will most likely never see a dime in return.
Everyone that reads this should consider themselves fully warned. RUN from this company and Mr. Andresky. I assure you that he will be changing the name of his company soon. Do not fall for the nice advertising material that I fell for. This will take me and my family awhile to recover from and it is a shame.
Please feel free to contact me through Angies List if you would like more information regarding my experience.

Lawn was seeded (did not put new lawn in as we didn't want to pay the price), old shrubs removed and others moved.  Perennials were moved (others were thrown away.  Had I been at home, I would have saved what was left.).  All shrubs were trimmed very nicely.
Edging and mulching looked very nice when completed.

In the beginning we discussed tearing up the lawn and replacing the soil, etc.  Due to the price, we decided to go with only portions of the lawn that most needed work.  In all, I wasn't as pleased with the way the lawn turned out.  However, the company did come back twice to reseed after it rained and flushed the seed away.
