    McDonough Contracting
Eric was last on site in September of 2017, and before those three days was on site in March of 2017 for three days, with the condition that the review would be updated to reflect his efforts to remedy the situation. This experience has resulted in consistent arguing about no shows and the amount of money invested in supplies that cannot be returned due being purchased over a year ago: Black Vessel Sink $90 Cabinet to customize $20 Plywood $50 (Eric told homeowner to cut it out and he would purchase it due to his no showing- he has still yet to collect it or pay for it) Faucet $90 Tile $100 Cement $40 Trim $80 Outlets $30 Additionally, Eric damaged the dry wall when attempting to install the plywood and it requires repair. Despite dozens of no shows and false promises to reimburse for supplies, Eric has yet to do either. Please note, none of this experience is about my opinion, it is a timeline of what still hasnt been complete besides attempts to create a contract, offer extended time, and pay more to complete the jobs. At this point I am requesting (which Eric previously agreed to) Eric purchasing the remaining supplies so that I can work with a new contractor who can customize it in their own way. The original review was first posted in May 2017 and is being updated to reflect the lack of a solution provided by the business. Homeowner has begun seeking mediation but the company has not complied.

    Sun-Up Construction Inc
Excellent. could not be more pleased with their work, The team of Craig, Paul and Laurie were a joy to work with, great customer service. They showed up on time, made no mess and did a wonderful job and the skylights are beautiful. From their first visit to review the job to when they returned only 2 weeks later to install I felt confident the job was going to be done right. Best company I've ever dealt with by far.

What a great experience from start to finish!! They were courteous, knowledgeable, worked quietly and left everything clean and beautiful!! Our black galaxy countertops were chosen from slabs at their warehouse. They called every time they said they would and made the process very easy! Ten out of ten!!

8 Point Construction & Remodeling Inc
When I chose to take my kitchen to my new home, I contracted the carpenter who originally designed and built it over 25yrs ago.  Altho he did a remarkable job of adding a few more cabinets to fill the larger space, his health and family issues soon made it clear I would need other help.  So I turned to Angie's list where I found Matt McCune and 8 Points Construction.  Not only did Matt give me full and prompt attention, he gave a carefully thought out bid that included suggestions to finish my ideal kitchen with the least expense.  He worked well with my original contractor, set up a schedule, coordinated all the steps, and provided some really superior, experienced crafts people.
Everyone from his extraordinary carpenter, Pete Carson, to the most meticulous painter I EVER watched, Elaine Castronovo, worked hard to do exactly what I wanted, even though my instructions were "think Rock Pile".  They all did such an amazing job matching in new, functional pieces to the style and color I wanted.  And when I did a Columbo-ish "...oh...just one more thing..."  about a 4-ft spice rack, Matt and the crew were courteous and obliging without hesitation.  I now have a terrific large spice cabinet for little extra money.
At all times 8 Points were courteous, careful and always cleaned up after each phase, treated my family, my home and my dog with great respect.  I'm thinking of finally putting in an entertainment center.  I know EXACTLY who I'm going to call!!
Thank you, Angie's List members, for recommending 8 Points Construction.
And Thank you, 8 Points Construction, for a fantastic job of not only matching my existing kitchen, but making it everything I'd envisioned.   I'm too happy for more words.

    Kish Painting LLC
We called Jeff after we had problems with another painter.  I had selected the other painters primarily because they were the first to provide an estimate and came highly recommended from an acquaintance.

Jeff is extremely punctual, efficient, and personable.  He doesn't waste time, but was always willing to take time to answer questions.  He always showed up right when he said he would and completed what he said he would do.  We were pleased with the quality of his work and offered to provide written or verbal references as needed.

My wife and I were both very impressed with his professionalism.

Everything he did was on time and when promised.  I had asked about getting the garage door painted, and he strongly suggested we get the problem corrected before he painted.  He was very personable, but I never felt that I was dealing with a salesman, just talking with a professional about what needed to beone.
I have not contacted him to start the work, because there were some other painters who gave an estimate, but never showed up to start.  They seem to call just when I'm ready to call Mr. Kish to start/

    D & D Painting LLC
Words cannot express the amazing experience that I had with D & D Painting LLC!  However, a few words do come to mind though; Professionalism, Courtesy, Respect, Integrity, Quality...and those are just to name a few!  I purchased a "Deal of the Day" from Angie's List which featured "$229 Interior Painter for a Day"!  I am so glad that I decided to spontaneously purchase this deal!  Donnie, the owner of D & D Painting LLC, called me immediately to set up a day to come and paint my entryway.  Donnie has a very kind, soft spoken and reassuring voice which made me feel extremely comfortable talking with him.  I could tell immediately that this was a stand up guy!  He was extremely polite and very accommodating to my schedule.  I asked Donnie about the standard work that he does and for future projects if he offers a Military Discount, being that I was a Veteran.  He said yes and immediately thanked me for my service.  I felt the sincerity in his voice! When Donnie and his co-worker, arrived, it was business immediately.  They worked extremely hard within their allotted 4 hours of work that was included on the deal, to ensure that they would be able to complete the project.  We did have a hiccup that was no where near their fault. I purchased from Home Depot their signature "Behr Marquee" paint which was a guaranteed "one coat paint" and of course I paid a pretty penny, unfortunately that was not the case!  Donnie did tell me prior to even opening up the first can of paint that he didn't think this would coat in one application, but he said "Let's give it a try". He knows his craft well and is extremely knowledgeable.  I called Home Depot, who then proceeded to come to my house, joined by a Behr Representative who swore that this was an "Application Error", they insisted that D & D Painting wasn't using enough paint.  We tested a wall and yes, you can apply more paint and due to the consistency and thickness of the paint, it will cover, however even after the test wall was dry, I could still see through to the color on the previous wall in various spots.  I immediately called Donnie and told him what had happened and he said he wanted to come back and complete the job regardless of what Behr said (even though Behr was in the wrong).  I told him I'm not looking for a handout, whatever you need from me I'm okay with! Donnie's concern wasn't for what Behr was arguing/disagreeing about, he was only concerned for me and my satisfaction of the project.  He said "I just want you to be Happy with the work we've done. You served our Country and this is the least I could do for you."  He sent two of his workers back to finish the entryway, both were friendly, professional and finished the job flawlessly!  My entryway is gorgeous! I will recommend D & D Painting LLC to everyone!  People who take pride in their work are truly hard to come by anymore...but these guys are diamonds in the rough!  Top-shelf all the way! Don't think twice about hiring them!

    Carpentry & Related Svc Inc
Bill was professional, extremely competent, punctual, reasonable, honest and friendly. He repaired our front steps that had sunk and replaced the support posts for the landing. He also installed a 270 sq ft of hardwood flooring in our family room (we supplied the hardwood). Bill actually saved us money on the floor install by constantly measuring and minimizing waste. We were able to return two boxes of flooring. We only had 3.75 sq ft of waste. It's hard to find good contractors and Bill is a keeper. He does the work himself and is quite maticulous. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

    The Creative Dabbler
We had Deb do some faux painting in dining room several years ago.   Our recent kitchen remodel damaged some of the design so we had Deb come back and repaint the damaged wall.   You can't tell if was ever damaged.
We been using Deb for several years and we'll be calling her back again to faux paint a large bathroom.  She is such a great person to work with and she is truly an artist.

    Leach Painting Company, LLC
WOW!!!  Leach Painting did a fabulous job!   I've had trouble with
painters before, but this was the first time I am overjoyed with any
type of contracted job.   I have been a landlord for 3 years & owned
a home for over 10 years, so I have had contracted work that was
sub-par.  But this company takes pride in their work & their
company.  The owner was accountable & followed up with  a phone call
to make sure I was happy.  The skilled painters were courteous, removed
their shoes, and the paint job was AWESOME!  just perfect!!!  I highly
    recommend Leach Painting!!!
