    We we found their name on Angie's List along with a few other alarm companies they had the most reasonable price. Ray Junior came out to our house and after going over our needs suggested an alarm system that we are now very happy with. The system is customizable to our needs. It allows us different zones to be turned off and on as necessary. They were very professional and I would recommend them.

    The experience was exceptional.  We have used LRI security in our prior home and were very satisfied.  We decided to continue with their services at our new home.  They are a very courteous team and very knowledgeable.  Overall it was excellent.

    Had a problem with a malfunctioning window sensor.  On 2 different occasions, had a technician from our then security provider (a large national chain), come to our home to fix the problem.  The first visit, they did absolutely nothing and said they would return with a new sensor.  We were charged $255.  When they didn't return for over 2 weeks, I called and set up a 2nd visit.  That technician said they couldn't install a new sensor without drilling new holes up from our basement.  I told them that was unacceptable.  I researched Angie's list for a reputable security company and chose Victor because of the other comments and also because they were a family owned business.  Eric Victor was the technician who arrived promptly, analyzed the problem, replaced the sensor and problem solved. Total cost was $135 and that included $60 for 4 new sensors.  I switched my monitoring service to Victor at a 20% savings.  I will use Victor Security for any and all home security alarm problems or upgrades in the future.

    Took provider a couple of months to show up for initial transfer of service after multiple calls and messages.   Very helpful and courteous in person, however follow up service has been terrible.   They have missed scheduled appointments without notifying us, and it took about 10 phone calls until they replied back about a repair.  Follow up communication has stopped completely - very puzzling.
    They seem to be focused on the first sale, rather than customer support and service through the life of the agreement.  Small father/son operation, so their focus on new sales is somewhat understood given the line of business.

    After a series of daytime break-ins in the neighborhood, it seemed like the right time to get an alarm system.  I eventually settled on Guardian and have been very pleased with the service over the past year.  The company is responsive, pricing is reasonable and our sales rep (Bruce) has been very helpful with recommendations.  The install was done very professionally, including an extra effort to run the power cord through the wall.  Both gentlemen (sales rep and installer) have answered follow up questions, provided helpful tips and advice, and even returned to adjust the system when we needed assistance with minor changes.

    We are very satisfied with our experience, from start to finish. We got quotes from this company (smaller, family owned - recommended to us by a co-worker, who had many good things to say, and also has high ratings on Angie's list) and one other (large national company, which is A+ rated on Angie's list, by many more people) and chose this one for several reasons.
    One of the primary reasons was the individualized attention. Dan came to our home and spent time going through our house, making recommendations and thoroughly explaining everything. We felt confident that we were getting exactly what we needed. With the national company, everything was done over the phone/on-line - it was over within 15 minutes (whereas Dan spent at least an hour going through our home). We didn't like that the national company's recommendations for what equipment to install was only based on what we told them about our house. For example, Dan recommended 2 glass break sensors for our downstairs, whereas the national company only recommended one; this was based on the national company not being able to see the actual size and layout of our home and we probably gave them inaccurate information (we're not security experts, after all). Also, he recommended window sensors for 2 windows upstairs, which would be easily accessible via the roof over our garage; the national company asked nothing about our upstairs.
    The national company also employed some high pressure sales tactics, calling and emailing at least 3 times after the initial phone conversation. There was no such experience with Omega. 
    While the installation by Omega was about 3 times as much as we were quoted by the national company (although we did get more equipment via Omega, so that played a role to some degree), in the long run, we will save money. Omega has a package where you pay more up front for the installation, but then the monthly monitoring cost is only $20. And that price never changes! Dan told us they have long-time customers that still only pay like $11 per month. So after about 2 years, we will make up the increased initial cost and then really start saving money (quote from national company was $45-50 per month for monitoring). Also, Omega provides a longer warranty for their products, which could also save money, if equipment problems arise.
    Installation went great. We had a nice man come over and install everything. Omega supposedly uses their own people, not subcontractors, which is comforting. 
    Overall, we are very happy with everything and would highly recommend this company.

    Pros: 1) The set-up of the alarms and the main control panel was very easy 2) the response to an alarm is immediate 3) the technical help is very good during working hours.
    Cons: 1) the sticky adhesives used to affix the alarms are very hard to remove, without stripping paint, etc. You may have to reposition the alarm sensors several times depending on the shape and position of your windows/doors, and there is no easy way of doing this prior to using the double-stiky tape. 2) If you have a problem after business hours, good luck talking to a human being. Their automated system disconnected me several times when I called after normal working hours about a problem arming the system.Still, I would recommend the service as of this date 3) The smoke/fire alarm is very sensitive--don't position near a bathroom without good ventilation; otherwise, when you open the door and steam hits it; it will sound and launch the alarm service.

    Well overall so far this has been a good experience. We did have some problems with the control panel but front point shipped out a new control panel quickly and I returned the old one in the same package. Sticking on the sensors was easy enough and took me probably an hour. I love having the chime option so I can hear if the doors open even without having the alarm set. Recently there have been some break ins in our area and I definitely feel safer having an alarm system ... The decals and yard sign are a good deterrent too I'm hoping!
    The yard sign is a little flimsy and I do wish they had included more decals. Along with the initial problems with the control panel which did take a good bit of my time to resolve and which may have left us not monitored only for the fact I realized the chimes that had been working were not working (the only sign that the system was failing to pick up the sensors), have prompted me to grade it as a B overall rather than an A.

    The Vector installation mechanic showed up right when they said he would, installed the system, walked us through the system procedures and answered any questions we had. Vector was extremely timely and had very responsible and clean employees working in our house.
