    dRemodeling
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate the dRemodeling team that executed the renovations to our home an 11! Led by Tudor, our foreman, the team was professional, respectful and skilled. It is always hard having someone you dont know virtually moving in with you for 3 months, but I believe I speak for the entire family (except, perhaps for the cat who had to be restricted to a bedroom during the day) when I say that we truly missed having them around after he job was completed. Our job was pretty extensive, involving the entire first floor of our home and the end-result far exceeded my expectations. As one of our friends commented, this looks like something you would see on HGTV! Though I had a pretty good idea of the design I wanted to implement, Devin, our dRemodeling designer, was insightful and resourceful at taking that plan to the next level. She was also immensely patient! While the scope of the project expanded during the course of construction, along with concomitant cost, the cost increases were fair and equitable. My husband and I have already recommended dRemodeling to friends who are considering renovation work and will gladly continue to do so.

They would have gotten an A if they returned phone calls and keep me in touch with when they were coming. There were some empty promises about when he was going to show up and he never followed through. I had to call him several times. Other than that, the work and employees were fine.

    John Elliott General Contractor
We absolutely love the new bathroom. The attention to detail was superb, and communication was top notch. This was the second project we have hired John for. There was quite a bit of electrical work involved, between the heated flooring, a new vent, and new light, so they had to install a new GFCI breaker and run a cable from the basement up to the bathroom, and his crew was able to do it all.

    CMT General Contractors Inc
Fantastic!!!  We couldn't be happier with the massive amount of work done upgrading our two family beach front property.  We got several quotes from various contractors and CMT's was by far the most thorough and least expensive.  They did a ton of work which would all take too long to describe here.  The major items addressed were:
    • - Installed a new roof (with 30# felt underlay)
    • - Picture framed all windows and doors
    • - Wrapped the house in Tyvec and installed new Certainteed siding
    • - Removed the existing and installed two new skylights
    • - Removed the old and put in new vinyl railings on the four decks
    • - Capped all columns, soffits, door jams and other exposed wood with PVC coated aluminum
    • - Installed a new exterior fiberglass door
    • - Re-decked one of the decks
    • - Installed vented soffit on all eves and solid soffiting on all deck ceilings

As you can see, it was a huge job and CMT's crews were neat (great daily clean up), courteous, prompt and professional.  All the work was done as promised and in a timely manner.  Follow-ups (and there were a couple) were also handled immediately. I would highly recommend CMT for any and all construction work.

    McCarthy Brothers Carpentry Inc
Joe and Mike were amazing .  They are fabulous carpenters and wonderful men.  They  worked in January and February of 2015, some of the coldest days we have seen in a while.  I kept trying to get them to come in to warm up but they just worked through the cold , even climbing ladders with snow and ice on the ground.  Everything is done to perfection.  I could not be happier with their work.  They came up with wonderful solutions when we encountered some problems on what to do in certain areas. Everyday when they left everything was cleaned and organized.  They even came back when all the snow and ice finally melted and cleaned up all the little pieces of debris they could not see in the snow.  I am so happy with their work and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs siding, doors, windows or any other work done around their house.  My 50 year house looks like new and  I am thrilled.  Thanks Joe and Mike!!!

    Executive Builders, Remodelers
    Summary:
Kudos! We are VERY pleased with Executive Builders, and recommend them without hesitation.
    Bidding/Decision Making:
Given the complexity and size of the project, we contacted seven different outfits. Two were too far away, and two declined to bid.  Of the three bids that came in, Executive nailed that sweet spot of high value for moderate price.
Beyond the immediate price/value proposition of the bid, Executive Builders brought additional value to the table that provided confidence. The owner, Steve Verasse, had diligently built an actual organization that systematically attended to its business, in all detail, which ranged from a show room from which materials can be handled and selected, to a warehouse and stock yard filled with tools and trucks, an appropriate level of automation, and a fairly deep bench of people and subcontractors that insulated my project from the ebb and flow of other projects.
Of particular importance is the fact that the contract and payment schedule is setup on a milestone completion basis, which is ideal protection for all parties.
    Project Flow:
During the planning phase, Matt Morton worked hard to educate us on our options and what to expect, and wrangled all the details. Originally the project timeline was set  at a very aggressive 4-6 weeks, and demolition began the day after Memorial Day.  There were delays and glitches, but Dave Marconi, the lead carpenter and project manager saw to it that they were handled immediately and in  a no nonsense manner, and there were people on site making things happen each and every day except for one, when a subcontractor was a no show, until our house was functional again.  Our kitchen was put back into service in the project's 9th week, work was substantially completed in week 10, and the last few details not impacting functionality dribbled in over the next two weeks.
    Shout Outs:
Steve: for building a resilient organization that absorbed glitches, personnel changes, and kept making things happen
Dave: for keeping a million details juggled, and keeping it all moving forwards
Matt: for sorting it all out in the first place
James, Gene and Lew: A group of no nonsense guys who swung the hammers, wrenches and nailers, day in and out until it was done, and done well.
    Tony: an Electrician's Electrician.

    John Goodale Construction
John did such a wonderful job, I decided to write a review.  It is so hard to find a good, professioanl contractor these days, and it was so nice to not have to deal with a big company that subs out work.  John has a great attention to detail, and is a trustworthy guy.  I would definitely refer him to someone, and plan to use him again in the futute.

    Thanks!

    Kitchen & Bath By Design
They were on the job the first day on time. They  said our renovation would be 4-6 weeks, for the most part it was. We delayed the finish of the job with some choices on hardware, lighting and back-splash. Other wise we would have been closer to the 6 week finish. We gave them a budget up front and they stuck to it. (We however chose to go over our allowance on a few items.)
The installers that were in our home were professional and always neat and clean. They never left the site a mess. They always cleaned up at the end of each day. The quality of the carpentry work is excellent.  The tile work is beautiful and perfect! We could not be more please with K & B by Design. From start to finish they were excellent!

    Better Homes & Garages
Greg called me within a day to schedule looking at the job. He came on a Saturday and we discussed the work that needed to be done. He let me know that the work would be 2 days of work, which I expected since the list was rather involved. He worked with me & brought an assistant to get all the work done in 1 day. They were extremely professional and would definitely use Greg and his team again. Key things to know about Greg:
    1. Did great work
    2. Showed up on-time when it was scheduled
    3. Greg and his team were presentable and professional
    4. Cleaned-up the site after he was done
I'm pretty handy around the house except I have a new baby, new job, and just moved into this house, so time was limited. It was great to have Greg get everything done during the day, so I can spend more time at my job and time with my family. We are planning to use Greg again to hang the chandelier and other tasks.

    Distinctive Designers & Builders
Bob was helpful throughout the project. He designed the project and provided great suggestions we were not aware of to enhance the project. Good communication and high quality construction. I am sure the new deck will out last me. We love the result and used it all summer and the new shower is perfect. We learned of the company through a friend and have already recommended them to a neighbor that wants a deck like ours.
