    After another inspection company told us our Chimney wasn't usable, these guys came out to replace the flue. However, when they inspected the chimney they informed us that the chimney was fine to use. We paid for their time - and the setup work they had to do, but their honesty saved us from a $1000 expense.

    We just moved in last summer and wanted to use our fireplace - but needed an inspection first to feel safe about it. The cleaning seemed to go fine - but we were told NOT to use the fireplace due to gaps in the flue liner. And then were told he doesn't do that work. We hired another firm that would come and replace the flue liner. The other firm could not find any gaps and told us we could use the fireplace without trouble (which we did several times without incident). It's possible that the other firm corrected the problem by pushing the flue liner down and closing the gap before they saw it - but would have been nice to not have to wait and pay another firm to get to that result.

    Incredibly well. Not only cleaned and repaired our upstairs fireplace, but he revitalized our basement (non-gas) fireplace that had been shut off for years. Very polite, prompt and reliable at a reasonable cost.

    Chimney Cricket was very responsive when we first called. The person who came to clean and inspect the chimney was very professional. I was very pleased at that point. They even came quickly to install the new liner. And since the air is much cleaner, I can only assume that they did an adequate job on this. However no one called as we requested to let us know that the technician was here so my husband could run home (they could access from garage), they left no paperwork to let us know what they did, our garage door handle broke off and they just left it there and made no mention of it to us. When later I called to ask for paperwork and a receipt I was told that they could not process my credit card for 2 weeks (which means that my credit card info would be sitting on someone's desk for 2 weeks). The bookkeeper also told me "There is only so much I can do" something that should be said to a boss, not a customer. After 2 weeks I had to call again and ask for the warranty and paperwork regarding this $1,700 liner. I finally received the warranty after 3 weeks. And during all this we called and asked to speak to the owner who never called us back. I actually think they do a good job but I want someone who is easier to deal with.

    Great job. The called to see if they could come an hour earlier. Upon arrival they covered their shoes with booties. Glenn even went on the roof to check the chimney and cap. I am very pleased with a job well done.

    Quick, clean and knowledgeable.  After sweeping the chimney, the technician explained that my damper wasn't functionning properly.  I didn't know it was stuck - the technician explained the problem and fixed it without any upcharge.  It was a simple fix, but I would not have known there was a problem if he hadn't told me.  Another chimney sweep did not offer to fix it some years earlier - nor mention that it was stuck.

    Robert's great. I don't have any complaints at all. My interaction with them was very good. The work turned out awesome and great. They do phenomenal work. They show up on time and they clean. Their punctuality is fine. I would absolutely use them in the future.

    Terrible!  I haven't heard from Comfort One in over a month.  I've called to check status - calls not returned.  What kind of business operates like this? I've contacted my credit card to dispute the charge now and I will be contacting Heatilator as Comfort One is an authorized vendor of Heatilator products.  It's bad enough that I paid $140 for essentially NOTHING, as having the technician come out and say I need a part doesn't really fix the problem - I'm not adding to the fraud by paying $186 for a part I never received.  
    Avoid this business!  
    Unfortunately I am not alone in this experience - however, I didn't do the proper research ahead of time so I didn't realize these folks make a habit of this type of behavior.  I have found it very, very challenging to find someone to repair fireplaces around here.
