    Paradigm Home Solutions
Bob came out to give me an estimate and he was exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, and good humored. He answered all my numerous questions and gave me great advice on what I did and did not need to do to rectify the problem. When I phoned him with additional questions after his visit, he responded immediately and again very helpful. I had a few estimates done, but Bob won my trust and their estimate was fair and reasonable. I scheduled the job and the crew was able to complete it in one day. They too were impressive--efficient, hard working, and also responsive to my questions. Both the owners, Andrew and Ross, worked alongside the team, which also impressed me greatly. The completed job was well done and they cleaned up fairly well afterwords (with all the concrete that was carried up from my basement their clean up job was also impressive). Paradigm provides a lifetime warranty for their work, one which is also transferrable. I feel confident in their work and so far, during this horribly wet summer, my basement has remained perfectly dry. I highly recommend Paradigm. Working with them was a pleasure. Bob has a wonderful sense of humor, in addition to being quite experienced and knowledgeable and the owners, Andrew and Ross, are also friendly and very professional. Great company and excellent service.

    SJ Waterproofing
It was great. The owner of the company came to Pennsylvania to give me a proposal. It took a little bit to be abler to get on the schedule but on that day 3 workers showed up with lots of equipment and material. They worked non stop and were done in one day. SJ did an excellent job. I have not seen 1 drop of water come through the walls since they put the system in. I am very happy and wished i would have done it earlier as it would have saved me a lot of anxiety.

    Rightway Waterproofing Co
The water issue was in a small unfinished corner of the basement after a very heavy rain and only once since we moved in without mold issues- but I decided to get French drains and mold treatment done anyways for the entire basement. Bob gave me a good estimate and then tried matching the lowest estimate I had gotten (his was the second lowest but I decided to go with him). The installation work went smoothly (planning to get the basement refinished soon from one of his contractors who was there for the job so he knows where everything goes back) . Bob Steck was very responsive, funny and thorough. Their team was very professional. Did the work just as promised - no issues with dust and dirt during and after the job). They started and finished on time ( took 2-days). The concrete is almost completely dry and have had one heavy rain so far- we are Very impressed by their work. Highly recommended.

    Basements Love Us Inc
It went very well. They responded in a timely fashion, were very professional and saved my Japanese maple from being ruined due to the flooding. My house smells much better and they made sure the mold was gone. Their pricing was fair and they completed the job in 2 days as planned. I would use them again but hopefully will not have any more water issues as they solved the my biggest problem effectively.

    AJ Waterproofing

I had a long-standing problem with water in my basement. A couple of times a year when it would rain very hard I would get water in one corner of my basement. AJ provided me with a thorough and very professional assessment of the potential problems and I chose him over several other contractors based on his knowledge, straight-forward approach, and strong online reviews.

AJ and his team did an outstanding job installing/repairing our French drain, installing new sump pumps, and repairing holes in the exterior wall. They arrived when they said they would and completed the job in one day as promised. The quality of the work was excellent. And what really impressed me was that they went to great lengths to isolate and protect both the other parts of the basement and all of the items in the basement from the areas where they were working. As another reviewer mentioned, they cleaned up so well that it was if they were never there. AJ also followed-up to make sure everything was OK. He was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him. Thank you AJ and Caroline!

    M&K Renovations LLC
Went perfectly. We had water in our basement and they responded the next day with an estimate and started working immediately. They always emailed or called ahead to verify and arrived promptly. They workers were always courteous and went the extra mile to explain aspects of the project to me. We have used them for many different projects and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended!!

    Value Dry
Once we go over our shock at the cost, we knew Value Dry was the only company to use: other companies are small and go out of business, so their lifetime warranties aren't really lifetime at all. This is a multi-state company with a solid reputation that will still be in operation 50 years from now. Waterproofing your basement is something you only want to pay for once
in a lifetime. Why mess around with mom & pop companies?
Mike Famous was thorough, detail-orientated and patient with all our questions. He supported his presentation with a binder full of data, pictures, diagrams and even had video on his i-pad. I believe this is the only company that will dig trenches below the cinder block in accordance with Army Corp of Engineers standards. They also drained all water from cinder blocks.
We scheduled the work for a week we would all be on vacation to avoid the dust, noise and chaos. When we returned everything was exactly as promised. They completed the job in 4 days - plus one day when we decided to have them remove existing floors, bio-wash and install the back-up battery. The staff were polite and professional. Arrived promptly and performed the work expeditiously.
We have Mike's cell phone number and he picks up nights and weekends, answering our questions with knowledge and patience.
I recommend Value Dry very highly.

    Main Line Waterproofing
I went in to work late to accommodate this estimate and my husband was not home. The estimator did not seem like he knew what he was doing, as he kept asking me where he should install french drains, how far they should go, where he should install pumps, etc. He should demonstrate the ability and expertise to determine that himself! The quote was the lowest (of 3) we received for the work, as the estimator mentioned they are really low on work currently.
We did not go with them, however, not only because the lack of confidence in their work, but primarily because while the estimator was explaining what they would do to the basement, he literally said to me "I am surprised you can follow what I am talking about, usually women just don't understand this". That is a pretty offensive and insulting thing to say to a potential female customer and just demonstrated one more reason why they might be slow on business. I am not interested in patronizing such an out of touch and sexist business.
As one additional comment, they were the only estimate we requested for this service that would only come during regular business hours, and not at night or on the weekend.

    E&F Hardscaping & Landscaping Inc.

In a nutshell.....why doesn't everybody use these guys?

We came across Eand F after seeing a friend's EP Henry Patio that had been put in by them. They had raved about Eand F's prices, the quality of their work and their responsiveness toward any problems.....even after the job had been completed. Being in the market to have a new patio put in and wanting to take a different approach than our home's previous owners (whose mantra seemed to be and quot;the bigger the driveway, the betterand quot;), we had met with 4-5 other contractors to get estimates for the large scope of work that we wanted done and had been generally dissatisfied with the process: Most had extremely overblown designs, seemed overpriced, didn't have a good ability to articulate their vision or were simply and quot;salesmenand quot; who just came out to measure. Try asking a salesman technical details about the actual installation process and what they would'll see what I mean. In most cases, getting estimates was a matter of and quot;we'll get back to youand quot; and then we'd either receive the estimate a couple weeks later in the mail and be unhappy with it.....or we wouldn't receive one at all.

When we called Eand F, Ricky and Freddy (the owners) came to our house within a a time that worked for us (after work). They listened to what we wanted (which by that point we'd drawn on paper), made suggestions and the next morning had provided us our estimate....which was not only the best price we'd seen, but they were able to start the job right away and would be done within 2 weeks!

Through the process, we made adjustments to our plan. They rolled with change with ease and were always conscious of our budget and willing to work with us to make sure things got done the way we wanted. They helped suggest colors as well as ways to make the patio look really sharp with different colored bordering and bull-nosed steps. More than once, even when asking for a change that I knew would cause them more work/effort, they responded with the same thing: and quot;#1 thing is to make the customer happyand quot;. They even procured the wood for our pergola directly from the local lumber distributor and called me from the lumberyard so that the distributor could review the order with me and I could pay for the lumber directly. For some, this may not be a plus but for me it was great to know exactly what the lumber cost was and see that there was no and quot;mark upand quot; for Eand F over and above the cost of the installation itself, which was spelled out exactly in my estimate. Cost transparency is a great thing when working with a contractor and not something you see all the time.

Every day, Ricky arrived by 7am to start working, and throughout the day there were almost always 2-4 people onsite all the way until 5-6pm in the evening. Importantly, either Ricky or Freddy (or usually both of them) were there personally almost all the time....not only supervising, but doing the actual work. Having the owners of the business leading the effort and taking personal responsibility for delicate tasks and to do things like excavating was a real plus.

The only issue we had was that, as the job was nearing completion, a mistake was made and a tarp (covered in wood stain) was accidentally spilled on the pavers. End result: probably close to 100 pavers that were ruined! But Ricky and Freddy owned the mistake, immediately got replacement pavers and spent an extra day replacing every single paver that had even gotten a drop of stain on it. They never argued, made excuses or tried to hide it. They just fixed no additional cost of course.

In the end, the job was finished on time, on budget and we had a beautiful new patio, which we've been able to enjoy throughout the entire summer, thanks to the efforts, customer-focus and can-do mentality of Eand F. They are great guys, skilled at what they do, that stand behind their work. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if the need arose.

    Waterproofing One
Joe and his crew performed meticulously.  Their hard work and care for my home were very appreciated. They had to modify the job as unforeseen obstacles were faced and reviewed all changes with me with MY best interest at heart.  Joe was a pleasure to deal with and his crew friendly to talk with.  The work that they did, I would put up against anyone's and say it outdoes most.  I am very satisfied with the work they did on my house and have not had any water issues since.
