    CARPENTER'S AUTOMOTIVE SVC
Said car would be done on Friday and would get a call to let me know the details. Never recieved a phone call from them. Then got car back on Saturday and was supposedly fixed. Won't shift past 30 mph and have to slam it in park to be able to start car. Was like they rushed to get it done and didn't properly test drive it. Pretty dangerous when it's around zero degrees and my pregnant girlfriend and two kids in car. Will never go back. Plus now we have to get a rental for the weekend and that's an extra 70 dollars.

    Wiygul Automotive Clinic-Herndon
I think I was overcharged for the cost of struts.  Wiygul charged $348.00 per strut.  I checked with a local Toyota dealer who quoted me a price of $198.00 per strut.  Items sold by dealers are specifically recommended for their vehicles and reflect the minimum quality acceptable for replacement.  Why would Wiygul procure a part other than that recommended by dealer particularly when the cost was substantially higher.

    TECH TUNE 'N' LUBE
My fiancand eacute;e and I have been customers at Tech Tune 'n Lube for several months now. My mother used them exclusively for many years before she passed. Julie, Matt, Rich and Jen are all exceptionally good at their jobs. We're always able to get our vehicles in within a day or two of a phone call, and have been very happy with the work they've done for us. From oil changes to brake jobs to electrical work - they seem to do it all at a fair price in a very reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend this business!

    Palmiero Toyota
Let me first say that 3 weeks after purchasing my 2008 Volvo C70 last spring, I went to my garage and the vehicle refused to start. Matter of fact this type of vehicle relies on its battery to do EVERYTHING, including removing the key from it when it doesn't start. I called the dealership and they suggested I call AAA. I responded that if I needed to do that I would bring the car back to them for a refund. They then send a service person who could not figure out how to open the hood of the car - I had to get the handbook out for him. When he took the battery cover off, the battery was severely corroded. I take the blame for this one, as I did not look under the hood before I purchased. Obviously, though, neither did they. After I supplied the tools for him, the man got the corrosion off and the car then started. I took it up to Toyota where they then pronounced the battery and quot;just fineand quot;.
I drove and enjoyed the convertible all summer, fewer than 5,000 miles, and then garaged it for the winter. I recently made an appointment for March 31st for my and quot;free inspectionand quot;. About an hour later, they called to say that the front brake rotors needed to be replaced, as did the pads, and that the back rotors needed turning, and pads replaced. Total estimate - $800 !!!!!
Let me say that I did not let them do the work. I picked the car up and will have someone else replace what needs replacing and do the inspection. The battery also needs to be replaced. So much for it being and quot;just fineand quot;. Buyer beware, there is no such thing as a and quot;free inspectionand quot;! I will say, however that they taught me something about buying a used car. Always have an independent service person look things over first, and make sure that the dealership will agree to fix things before you buy - especially from Palmiero Toyota Scion.

    TECH TUNE 'N' LUBE
This is an interesting auto shop. It is owned by a woman. She is a skilled mechanic in her own right. One actually gets to talk to a woman when they go in there and that makes a big difference. I applaud that this woman is running this very successful business. The pricing is fair. She works to fit everybody in. She just has that woman's touch in dealing with customers. That is unusual with auto shops. She is a really good mechanic and she knows cars.

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THIS TOYOTA DEALERSHIP FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS. I HAVE PURCHASED TWO VEHICLES FROM THEM. THEY ARE FANTASTIC! I KNOW A LOT OF THE SERVICE PEOPLE THERE AND THEY ALWAYS BREAK DOWN WHAT MY VEHICLES NEED SO I CAN UNDERSTAND THEM. I NEVER FEEL LIKE I AM GETTING RIPPED OFF. THEY WILL TELL YOU WHEN A SERVICE CAN WAIT OR IS NOT REALLY NEEDED. THEY ARE VERY QUICK TO RESPOND TO YOU PHONE CALLS AS WELL.

!Gave me a ride to the mall to do shopping so I would not have to wait for service to be provided and came to pick me up when services was completed. Great service! And the oil change was also great and especially at no cost!

    GILLETTE IMPORT AUTOWERKS
Henry, the mechanic, encountered an inability to remove that ring from the vehicle due to rusted parts. He then repaired the missing tooth on that anti-lock ring in place on the vehicle. The repair went exactly as expected and he restored full function to the anti-lock braking system of the vehicle at a very reasonable price. Due to the nature of mechanical systems involved, I went into this appointment with expectation that I was likely going to have a very expensive repair bill but, instead, the vehicle was repaired accurately, rapidly and at a very reasonable cost.
I have been using Gillette Import Autowerks for 15 years for all of my vehicle repairs. I consider Tim Gillette to be the most honest and talented mechanic I have ever met. My first repair with him was related to an extremely hard to find transmission on a vehicle that I was quoted in excess of $3000 from several repair facilities and he did the work for $800.

    Dave Hallman Hyundai
Punctual; in and out while I waited. One disappointing thing about this dealer is they offer NO extras. Most other dealers I've dealt with at least do a cursory wash-n- vac. Also calipers failed...freezing- early in purchase and destroyed rotors. Was not covered by warranty, so dealer refused to address- big mistake. Apparently others have had this problem. Cost me lots of money on a two year old vehicle. Overall like the vehicle but don't know I'd buy Hyundai again for this reason. Emails to company headquarters went unanswered.

    TECH TUNE 'N' LUBE
We have been taking our cars, old and new, to Tech, Tune, N Lube for the last decade. Owner Julie is professional; service is done right every time. Her prices are fair, and she will even drive you home. What's not to love about a great female owner/mechanic? TTL is the best.
