    Chris Jackson's Contracting
Chris as his crew were a pleasure to work with. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent and the quality of work definitely met our expectations. We would not hesitate to use Chris again in the future and highly recommend.

    Master's Electrical Service Co

It took several emails and calls to get the work scheduled but once scheduled, they arrived on time.  Although I was clear on the scope of work in my emails, he told me when he arrived that he didn't have time that day for the job since it would take more than the deal that I bought covered.  He also explained the job was a 2 man job which would be 2 hours of work instead of 1 man for 4 hours.  After some discussion on the ease of access to the attic, he agreed to do the work and I agreed to pay any additional charges.  They worked well together, installation was neat and they cleaned up after work was complete.  They finished the work in 2 hours and there was no additional charge.

    Nicholas Electric Co Inc
Nicholas Electric was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL to deal with!  Having had a "mystery" issue in my home in later November, 2014, when certain rooms in my house were flickering and losing power, I was able to figure out that the problem was our dining room fixture (not ghosts which I was starting to suspect!), which was original to the house.  Being that it was not an emergency, we removed all of the bulbs from the fixture and did not use the light.  I contacted several different electrical contractors, and being near the BIG holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas, every place I contacted told me that since it was not an emergency, they could not even provide an estimate until mid-January to February, 2015.  Then, I called Nicholas Electric.
The woman/scheduler that I spoke to took my information promptly and courteously and told me that someone would call me back within a day.  Within 2 hours, I received a call back from John.  I explained the situation and stated that it was not an emergency.  He explained everything to me right over the phone ahead of time - the labor cost and what we would need to purchase (fixtures).  We set up a time to come out and give us an estimate.  My husband and I decided that we would have more than just the dining room light completed (listed above) and went and purchased the fixtures before the estimate date so that Nicholas could see ahead of time what we were going to have installed (nothing "fancy" or complex).
On the scheduled date of the estimate, John arrived ahead of time (a PLUS in my book!) and we did a walk through and I showed him each and every thing we would need done and the fixtures.  We talked about what would be needed and he thoroughly explained that being the house still had the original wiring (my family built the home), what could POSSIBLY need done once the work began in regards to the "boxes" in the walls/ceiling and that he would include it in the estimate if it would need to be done.  He assured me that I would have the estimate via e-mail with a few days.  I had the estimate that evening and my husband and I agreed immediately to have the work done.  John was very honest when I called him to accept the estimate that they could not guarantee it would be done before the holidays, and I said that was perfectly fine because it was not an emergency (we are very understanding with any business that is upfront with us, and again, it was not an emergency).
I believe it was on December 31 that John called us and said that they could complete the job on January 2 (compared to the few places I called that stated they could not even give us an estimate until mid-January, this was VERY pleasing!).
On January 2, the 2 gentlemen (Steve and I believe Ryan) showed up 5 minutes before the scheduled time and were absolutely WONDERFUL!  They were thorough, worked extremely well together, were greatly professional and very friendly.  They went through and did each and every replacement  as quoted, and explained a few things to me that they came across (such as the one of the outlets they were replacing having been built in to the duct work and that in the future, we might want to move it, as there was a build up of dust inside).  The also showed me the culprit dining room fixture's sockets, where the wiring was basically rotted away (I had been correct on what was causing the flickering) and the dangers or that.  They were very thorough, down to asking me exactly how far down the dining room light was to be extended, instead of just assuming, and even asking what timing I would like on the flood light and how I would like the bulbs aimed!  They completed all of the replacements in approx. 3-4 hours and once completed, did a complete walk through with me and showed me exactly what they did, even explaining that the GFCI outlets would feel different due to the fact that they are tamper-resistant.  None of the wiring/boxes had to be replaced, nor did they try to tell me it did (there is nothing I despise more than a company trying to do work that does not need done!)  When they left, I could not even tell they had been there!

I would not and will not hesitate to use them again, as we plan on having more work done in the future, and would recommend them to anyone who wants a very professional experience, extremely fair pricing and a great staff!!!!!!  You do get what you pay for and our experience with Nicholas Electric and the quality of their work was an absolute bargain!  It was more than we could have hoped for and we are highly satisfied!

    Chris Jackson's Contracting
ALL WENT VERY WELL.  MR. JACKSON AND THREE MEN WERE ABLE TO GET MY WHOLE LIST DONE IN ABOUT 5 HOURS.  ALL WAS DONE TO PERFECTION AND CLEAN UP WAS INCLUDED.
I LIKE TO WATCH THINGS AS THEY EVOLVE AND NO ONE COMPLAINED ABOUT MY GATHERING OF WARRANTY INFORMATION ON THE ITEMS THAT WERE INSTALLED.  I KEEP A COMPLETE RECORD OF INSTALLATIONS AND REPAIRS FOR MY FILES.  ALL THE GENTLEMEN ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS AND HELPED ME UNDERSTAND HOW THE NEW ITEMS WORKED.  IT WAS A PLEASURE TO HAVE WORKMEN WHO WILL HELP YOU USE THE ITEMS THAT THEY INSTALLED AFTER THEY HAVE GONE.
I AM HAPPY WITH THE WORK AND RECOMMEND THEM TO ANGIE'S LIST PEOPLE LOOKING FOR A HANDYMAN AND CONTRACTOR.  I HAVE SINCE GIVEN CHRIS JACKSON CONTRACTING'S NAME AND NUMBER TO MY BROTHER WHO NEEDS SOME WORK DONE ON HIS HOUSE.
WILL BE USING THIS CONTRACTOR AGAIN AND RECOMMEND HIM.

    CRADDOCK ELECTRIC
The two Daves (father and son) were the third electricians who addressed a nightmarish problem: a loose connection that was acting up sporadically for several months. Lights would flicker on/off, my Comcast equipment was almost always affected, and worst of all I routinely had a burning smell when it acted up, which was utterly terrifying. My regular electrician came twice and spent more than 1/2 hour trying to find the problem, but came up with nothing (a few months ago he had put in a new circuit breaker for me). He said we had to wait until the circuit would finally burn itself out, staying out, and then we could find the problems. When the burning smell continued I decided to bring in a second electrician (a friend's referral) but he too couldn't come up with anything and agreed with the first electrician's plan of action. Then I talked to a coworker who gave me a glowing review of Dave Craddock; she has a long history of him. Well, thank Heavens I followed her advice and had the Daves in. They were absolutely wonderful! They pulled the wall sockets and grounded 10 of my plugs (which I knew should have been done years ago.) They checked everything the first electrician did and said everything seemed to be in order. What they charged me to change 10 plugs was extremely reasonable. The next day after the Daves were at the house the circuit finally blew. They have 24 hour emergency service. Dave explained that this was not an emergency and the house wouldn't be damaged if I had to wait a few days for him to come out, as he was very busy. I trusted him 100% and decided I wanted him to do the work, as noted above he is extremely reasonable in his fees, has a ton of experience, was very thorough in his explanations and review of the situation and they are downright really good folks! (I have no problems with my first electrician, but since the Daves just put in new plugs and were willing to come on the weekend I decided to stick with them, especially because of my friend's strong referral). Once again they came on a Saturday and fixed the problems in 2 hours. They also hung around to make sure all my electrical equipment was working fine. The Daves alleviated a tremendous headache for me--they are a Godsend! The problem turned out to be the new but bad circuit was defective--an example of junk being manufactured today.

    Nicholas Electric Co Inc
After being canceled on by another top rated Angies list provider, (Renaissance Electric -who did previous work for us) we called Nicholas Electric. (will write subsequent review with details)
John answered our call immediately, & scheduled a time to come out.  He arrived early, confirmed what work needed done, set up a staging area on the foyer floor (with a protective drop cloth) to hold all his tools, and got right to work assessing the situation.
John answered phone calls during his work (some may think that unprofessional) we don't necessarily agree. His calls were professional, work- related ones. And besides, if we were the callers, we would rather someone actually answer a call than play multiple rounds of phone tag & voice mail volleyball. He apologized though, & explained that he receives calls to the company directly to his phone, & was fair- deducting the time for the phone conversations (without us asking).
John conducted himself professionally, was knowledgeable, was careful to explain what he was doing, & was personable.
John gave us a clear picture of the amount of work our other projects will entail & rough estimates for each. We paid a little less than quoted by Renaissance, and they wanted to send out two people for the same job.
We will call him again soon. Thanks John!

    Master's Electrical Service Co
Arrived on time even coming from Greensburg.  Added additional lights along pathway as well as small spotlight on house at a very reasonable price.  Was pleasant and courtreous.  In addition to services provided, took the time to answer questions via e-mail check out availability of colored lights I was thinking of using for holiday season.  This was above and beyond my expectations.  Highly recommend.

I had called about 3 weeks before the service date to discuss on the phone; as this was not a major job, we decided to forgo a visit for an estimate and would handle those details when the crew arrived. I was told it would be about 3 weeks, and it was.
They called before when they left their shop and arrived when they estimated.
James and his partner (sincere apologies, forgot to write to him, forgot to write down name) assessed what needed to be done and got to work. James also assessed some other things that I am potentially looking to have done in the future. the outdoor outlet had been invaded by a colony of ants, so that was cleaned out and replaced (no one had seen that before!). They were efficient and finished in just about the amount of time that we had speculated when I originally called. The guys cleaned up what little mess there was.
I gave a 'NA' for price, because I honestly don't have much of an idea what going rates are now. I will say that this is the second time that I have used Nicholas Electric, the last time about 3 years ago for a lot more major electrical work (new breaker box, rewiring, multiple fixtures to hang, new outlets); at that time I got multiple estimates and theirs was within a couple of hundred dollars of everyone else. Went with Nicholas because I just got the best vibe from them on their visit and that turned out to be true, which is why I did not get other bids this time around.
I will definitely use this company again and would have no problems recommending them to others.
