AChris Jackson's ContractingChris returned my call and met me to review the various repairs needed to be performed. The date was set to start the work, which was completed in 2 days. Most of the project was completed on the first day. There was a break between the work being completed because the windows had to be ordered, which was expected. Everyone on the crew was polite and responsive to any questions I asked. I plan to hire again for many more repairs in the future.- Lauren L.

In less than 24 hours, I received a phone call from Zeke, indicating he was working on a job near me and could take a look at the siding concern. He was at my home less than an hour later, and gave me a very reasonable estimate. His associate explained to me why the siding had come loose, and proposed how to resecure it. Not only did he correct the problem that I called about, but also located and secured three other pieces of siding on the opposite side of the house that were also coming loose. The work was done quickly and the repair workmanship was very good! I would definitely call Zeke & Son for other roofing or siding needs.- Ann P.

AExcellent in all respects, as usual. The total cost of $428 in the latest invoice was made up of the following: lawn mowing 4 separate times in early spring @ $32 each time, plus a visit on 6/15/18 for all of lawn mowing, hedge trimming (5 hedges), and repair of a downspout (including supply of a needed drain joint) at $300. I've been using this company for many years; they have always done lawn and yard care, and have fixed roof leaks, laid an underground drain pie, repaired downspouts, cleared gutters of leaves in the Fall. Bill has a way of hiring really good workers (especially Rich, who's been with him for years). This company is so reliable it should get your super service listing!

AI requested a quote from Patrick at Local Roots mainly to install a Husqvarna Automower 450XH on what I would consider to be a 'challenging' property for this new technology. For anyone not familiar, the Automower is basically a Roomba for the lawn, which promises to mow a carpet-like lawn with minimal maintenance and effort. The result is a beautifully manicured lawn, and I feel like I am living on 'grounds' that are maintained by a full time landscaping crew. The only effort I put into my lawn is to check the Husqvarna app and make sure the mower hasn't gotten stuck, which can happen every few days, and a once-a-month line trim in a few areas. My property is nearly an acre of trees, hills, and roots. While I am technically inclined, I had no idea what the performance characteristics of the Automower were, and initial setup is non-trivial and involves burying a boundary wire as well as guide wires throughout the property. Patrick and crew installed my Automower in a single day. He came with a local Automower approved dealer to ensure that installation was "at or above specification" for things like guide wire lengths and navigable grade. This saved myself significant time in guesswork. In addition, Patrick was willing to set up a season long support contract to perform optimizations and adjustments to the buried wire to ensure my Automower would work flawlessly into the future.

AOver a year ago, I wanted to install a washer and dryer upstairs in my bathroom. The job required a 220 and 110 electrical line and new plumping. I had 3 contractors come to my house to ***** the job. For various reasons, each contractor said the job couldn't be done and recommended the washer and dryer be placed in the basement. I didn't give up. I searched and searched the internet until Angie's List recommended several names. I went with Handyman Chris Jackson. I sat down with Chris and explained my frustration and intentions. He listened, explained what he could do and gave me a very good price. In addition to major work in the bathroom, he also completed 13 other jobs around the house. The entire job was completed in a week. Everything that I imagined turned out absolutely outstanding. I am truly impressed with Chris' professionalism, knowledge, work ethic, and ability to envision what I wanted without trying to dissuade me. His crew was very polite and skillful. I am fortunate and grateful in acquiring Chris. I'm planning on hiring him in the spring and would recommend him to anyone. This old house will never be the same thanks to Chris Jackson!
