    Terrible. The temporary denture did not fit properly. I was never able to chew on the left side of my mouth. I went back several times in the hopes of their fixing the problem. My complaints were ignored. The dentist assigned to me hardly did any work on me at all. Everything was handled by his young assistant. She did everything, and she was very condescending to me, which I finally called her out on. These people seem to be nice enough, but their mannerisms seem very put on. False cheeriness, which I have a hard time with. Now I've had these temporaries in for two years now, and they are causing issues with my teeth on the left side. When I last saw the dentist, he went to remove the upper denture. He seemed to be having a bit of a problem getting the denture out. I went to show him how I learned to take it out without it causing any pain. He said that everyone has their special techniques, and continued to pull on the denture. He hurt me when it wasn't necessary. Now I need to have implants, and I need a good dentist, and that's why I came on this site. I paid a great deal of money for poor work and condescension., I've tried to reach their Dr. Brown, the dentist who was assigned to me; it's been literally months now, but he hasn't contacted me as he said he would. I call, but am told that he's out or in a meeting. I leave messages, all to no effect. Now I have to find another dentist. My periodontist is a fine person, but she feels that it wouldn't be proper for her to make a recommendation.

    Pitt dental school the worst dental care and no ethical standards to patient care what so ever. Don't go unless you want to be their guinea pig and treat you like they are better then you and you are a piece of dirt under their feet. I wouldn't go there ever again!!! These incidents were not recent but enough to fear going to the dentist forever and ruined forever from seeing dentist. First visit was getting root canal and it was a dentist from out of the country I believe Poland. in his country he was full fledge dentist but was getting his credentials to work in the US as a dentist legally. He was drilling and heard something crack and I asked him what that was he said nothing. he cracked my tooth and would not own up to it. Another root canal different dentist. The dental tech was taking me to the elevator to see the dentist which was not a intern but a real teaching dentist. the tech stated to me on the way up don't you ever brush your teeth. She did not know me from Adam and how dare she be so rude to a patient. I never said anything to her I was in shock that she would make a statement like that to me.I am very sensitive when teeth are being drilled and let the dentist know that. he got so mad at me for telling him he was hurting me he started stabbing me with the novacaine needle over and over again in the tooth area over and over again! I was in pain and crying. he did not care he kept stabbing me with the needle over and over again. No one not the techs or any one said enough or stop it !it was free reign for the dentist to hurt over and over again any way possible because I was crying with pain! after he was done he must of thought I am going to get in trouble for this and said sorry while I walked out in tears. I couldn't speak I was in shock. It was like I horror movie. I wish this treatment on no one! 2 experiences were enough for me. I swear to you these Pitt dental staff really and truly did this to me and I am sure there are many similar stories out there also.

    I received Dr. Koul's analysis of the work to be done by her as well as an estimate of her charges. I called Dr. Block to find out when I'd be receiving his letter, which was to outline the work that he would do and the approximate costs. The reason I called on that particular day was because my mouth had become infected and painful. I was so anxious to get the work started on my teeth. My mouth was getting worse and worse as each day passed. I called twice and left messages, but got no response. By my third call, late in the day, I was in a bit of a panic. Infections in teeth and gums can infect the heart, and I already had a heart condition. I told the receptionist that the call was my third, and she argued with me that it was only my second. (She's been argumentative on several upsetting occasions. In fact, her attitude had been the basis for the fact that I'd once stopped using Dr Block as my dentist.) What's the difference? Whether I'd called once, twice or thrice (3X), I was in pain and very concerned. She put Dr. Block on the phone. He told me that he would not do any work on me at all, that I was to find another dentist. I was shocked. However, to tell the truth, I was in some ways very relieved. I certainly didn't trust him, not after so much time had elapsed with no work done at all, just useless consultations and vague plans for future work. All the while, my mouth condition had continued to deteriorate. The only good thing about his practice is Pauline, his dental assistant, who's been wonderful to me all along. All those consultations cost me money, and nothing was ever accomplished. Now I have to find a good dentist. I hope that Angie's List will provide some guidance.

    Went great- Dr. Jack and assistants were great. Unfortunately we will not be returning, since discovering they do not accept our insurance. (United Healthcare)
    I was unaware that United Healthcare merged medical & dental into one plan (and card) & I presented our old dental card at the time of the appointment, along with our medical insurance info.
    I received an explanation of benefits denying payment in the mail.
    I called the office to see what happened & presented our merged medical/dental card info.  Billing informed me that Dr. Jack's office does not accept UH dental insurance. I explained that I was totally unaware of that fact. I asked if there was a reason why they do not accept a particularly large provider like United Healthcare. They said they just don't. I asked if there was anything that could be done to submit the bills to insurance. The answer- "Don't worry- you can make payments".
    Disappointing- our kids loved their first dental visit.

    Dr. Piovesan has been my dentist for several years. He and his staff do a wonderful job. He capped six of my upper front teeth that were damaged due to grinding. I have received countless compliments on their appearance. People cannot believe that they are caps. I would highly recommend this dental practice to everyone.

    I have been going to Dr. Wilson for more than 2 decades. I always receive very good care. Everybody is very friendly, and I usually don't have to wait more than 10 minutes, if that. What I really like is that I don't have to go into Pittsburgh; he's at the end of a residential street in Greenock, so there's no hustle and bustle. There's also plenty of parking. He is on top of the Youghiogheny Country Club hill, which could get tricky in the winter, but there are other ways to get to the office without going up that windy hill--talk to the staff. Many years ago Dr. Wilson and his tech, Jamie (I ALWAYS have her clean my teeth; she's terrific), told me my gums were starting to recede and taught me how to floss properly; since then I've had very little problems with my gums. Although I don't have dental insurance, I feel their fees are very reasonable, and if you pay by check or cash that same day they will also give you a small discount. The only downside is that it can be tough to get an appointment, as they are very busy, so I always book my next appointment when I'm there. My mother, who has very bad teeth, has to go to Dr. Wilson far more than I. She too has always received very good care, and sometimes has an urgent need to see the dentist ASAP. Often they squeeze her in, but occasionally she has to wait a week, if not more. However, they know her situation and do put her on a waiting list. Dr. Wilson is the only one I want to work on our teeth--we both trust him/his staff completely.

    I had two fillings, first time in over 10 years I needed one and although I was nervous Julie and Dr. Hasley made me feel so comfortable. They took me back about 10 minutes after my appointment time. They do a fabulous job there and I would recommend them to anyone.

    I like everybody there, and they are all very personable. They always know who I am, and I am not just a number to them. Their office is excellent. Every little office has TV in it, so when I am getting operated or getting cleaned I can watch TV; it's very hi-tech and everything. They are excellent. They are always available. I love their office.

    He and his staff are very prompt. He knows his patients and he does the cleaning himself and he does not have a dental hygienist. He takes care of his patients from the minute they walk until they leave. The only thing I don’t like is that his office is old and dreary. His staff is very nice, although there is only one girl that works there and she answers the phone and also assists him. There are two of them, but there is only one there at a time, but they are very nice. He is always booked up, but if I have a problem he will squeeze me in.

    He seems adequate and is very professional. He could be more personable, since he is staring down into your mouth. He doesn't go out of his way to provide you with that extra service. He just gives you the baseline service that he needs to provide. He could explain a little bit more of what he is doing and what the options are.
