  I called on 3 separate occasions to have the company write us a letter indicating the cap was in working order as the tech stated. Each time I called the Supervisor/Manager indicated they would get back to me. When they did not call back on the 3rd call, I called a 4th time and they put me on hold and the technician said they would not provide a letter and that the fireplace was in bad condition. This was of course a complete lie and he said we needed to replace the cap. I asked to speak to the owner and they would not let me speak to him. Who ever heard of an inspection being performed and a report not generated to the owner of the home. In fact, I said to the tech we were going to contact the Consumer Protection Bureau and Angie's List and his response was you do whatever you have to. I am also in the process of filing a complaint with the CPU. I would surely not recommend this company to anyone.

  Chimney Cricket is awesome and the only team you should use for your chimney and dryer vent issues/repairs. Bob is fabulous and explains in detail the process and repairs. The team who did the work (June 1st) was great too. The office staff (ginger) is great at scheduling and keeping you posted in the event rain delays the outside work. I can't be more happier to have found them to fix my chimney and replace the dryer vent.

  My fireplace hadn't been used in years and had gone from wood to gas to nothing. Frank and Mike came in - looked it over, cleaned it and let me know what had to be done. No pressure, just an honest evaluation. We came up with a price I could work with to get the repairs needed to have a fire (without fear of injury) and prevent drafts. They were so nice and went above and beyond..quite frankly, they may have saved me from freezing to death this winter! Frank and Mike - you guys are the best! I will definitely be calling again.

  David made several trips up the ladder to my roof where he had to then use a step ladder to get to the top of my chimney.  He secured the fixture on top of the chimney & checked that the other components were OK.  When I asked him what I owed him he said that there was no charge!

  The only issue was they were so busy had to wait a little longer then I wanted to. Once they got on the job everything went well and I was satified with the job. Steve and his crew did a very good job it is an older house and they had to set up scaffold in a very tough area.

  Jonathan was extremely neat, putting down a drop cloth to protect surrounding area, used a well ventilated shop-vac - spent considerable time ensuring all soot was removed; brushing the flue from the bottom, using a broom brush in the smoke chamber and wire brush inside the fire box; vacuumed off the smoke shelf and in the firebox and cleaned the glass doors. Inspected the chimney cap and crown.
  I would use again and recommend Jonathan / Safe-T-Sweep, Inc.

  Two men came on time. They spent 5 minutes cleaning the inside of fireplace. One man walked outside to look at gas line. He came back and told me to call the gas company. They left. Made 125 in 15 minutes....?my complaint is I told them the issue. They should not have come.

  Jonathan came and inspected my chinmey which had leaded rain down the chimney onto the outside of my gas insert.  The existing cap was not channeling water away properly,  Instead it allowed water to drain into the chimney.  Also the chimney top was screwed on which might have allowed water to enter around the screws.
  He ordered a new stainless steel cap which was approximately three feet by five feet.  The cap had to be painted an off white color in order to conform to the HOA specifications.
  He then installed the new cover and replaced the cap with an adhesive instead of screws thereby eliminating the potential for water to enter via the screw holes.
  All of the work was performed in a professional and timely manner and for the price he originally quoted. I rated the price good instead of excellent as it seem a little pricey to me however in fairness I really have no idea what something like this should cost.

  Spoke to Mr. Ewing who said he would try to come out to my home for an estimate on pointing my chimney on 4/10. If he was not able to do so on that day, he would call to set up another time. Never heard from him again.

  Kevin, the owner was very professional and courteous and prompt in returning phone calls.  The three men who came out to do the work were excellent!  They were all very professional and took care to protect my carpet and floors and furnishings when they had to move out my old stove insert.  The work area was left clean and everything put back in its place when they were finished for the day.   I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing chimney repair services.
