I've been using them for a few months now. I had a transmission problem and the car wasn't shifting right. It wasn't running right. I took it in and they told me it was not a transmission problem. It was an oil problem and it was a lot cheaper and they handed it back to me without problems. They're right next to a car enterprise. The car enterprise gives a discount when the car is in the shop. The employees are friendly. It is probably better if customers make their appointment but I had a problem so I just went in. Their pricing is fair.

Originally I called for an appointment which I got for the following morning.  Due to a death in the family I had to reschedule for a later date which was no problem.  I arrived at the appointed day & time.  My vehicle was first in line for the inspections.  They were completed within the promised time frame.  The vehicle passed with flying colors which was not a given considering it was a 2008 model with over 133,000 miles on the odometer.
While I was waiting, I was able to observe other customers come in with requests.  Everyone was treated as though they were the only customer that day.  They were taken care of promptly & courteously and everyone seemed satisfied.
I would definitely recommend this business to anyone requiring state inspections or any routine maintenance service.
PS:  The price I was charged included a hefty discount based on a coupon offer they had in effect but that I did not know about.  They gave me the discounted price anyway!

Our family has used Linwood Motors since 1980. The owner is honest and very dependable. Recently my son had his SUV repaired, Ed did his best to keep the cost down but also made sure his SUV was safe to drive. Called with every detail he needed to work on so my son could approve the work. Never had to take the vehicle back because of faulty repairs. We also take our cars to Ed for inspection and repairs. Always friendly and never over charged for any work. If you are looking for a good place to go for car repairs please give Linwood Motors a try, you won't be sorry. He also has another good mechanic who works for him (Sam). It doesn't get any better then the 2 of them working on your car.

I made an appointment and took the vehicle in on 6/18/2013 primarily due to a and quot;Check Engine Lightand quot; and for an oil change. I also requested they check my history and advise of any items due service. Even though their web site advertised free shuttle service, I was advised to leave my vehicle and call my wife to take me home.
After several hours, the service writer called and gave me a run down of what was needed and told me the cost would be $1150. When I suggested this was a little steep, he assured me he had already applied several discounts to the cost. He also told me the oil change would be $32 even though the web site advertised an $18 oil change. When I told him this, he said he would apply that discount also. He said a part was needed which would be in the following morning and that my vehicle would be ready by noon the following day. The next morning around 8:30, I received a call telling me my vehicle was ready to be picked up. My wife took me to the shop and I went to the cashiers window to pay. I was presented with a bill for $1261.XX. The first item I saw was a charge for $172.09 for the check engine light which was caused by a faulty gas cap. The cost of a new cap was $24.09 and trouble-shooting was $148. At this point I requested to speak with the service writer for an explanation. He proceeded to tell me they had to run a and quot;smoke testand quot; which was labor intensive. (My experience with another vehicle at a different dealership was they hooked up a computer and it told them I needed a gas cap and the total cost was minimal.)
I then asked why the bill was for $1261 when he had quoted me $1150. He kind of mumbled and showed me the discount for the oil change. I pointed out that no other discounts appeared on the invoice. I also told him that when I took my wife's vehicle in (at a different shop) and the bill was of this magnitude, a 10 percent discount was routinely given without me having to ask. He then said he would look at the invoice and make some adjustments. After much muttering (which I could not understand), he told me he had made some adjustments and my total was now $1035.79. I said OK and went in and paid the cashier.
I have no idea how the original price would compare with any other repair shop. I just know it seemed excessive and was more than I was quoted. I was basically satisfied with the final bill but my complaint is that if I had not been persistent or was someone who did not know any better, I would have paid $1261 instead of $1035. They had not applied any discount except for the oil change even though he told me he had. If he told me that untruth, how am I supposed to believe anything else I was told. This was a high mileage vehicle and I wanted assurance that if I put this much money into repairing it, I would not turn around only to find out I needed this amount of repair work next month, etc. He had assured me that would not be the case and I am hoping he was right but I do not feel at all comfortable that he was speaking the truth. Only time will tell. In any case, I will not return to Benson for any future business.

When I go there they explain what is really wrong in layman's terms. They're very thorough and I just feel that they're very honest. Everybody is really polite and courteous. It's really close to my house, but he actually has a driver that would drive me to work. It's a small shop, but he has a driver that will drive you to work. One time I got to work and had a problem with my tire and I called them. I had a spare tire put on by another company which wasn't that good, but they came and picked my car up. They drove it back, fixed it, and brought the car back in the same day. They just don't do that anymore. Customer service is #1 with them and it's obvious. Their prices were comparable.

My experience was fantastic. Frits is a really nice guy, and certainly takes loyalty seriously. He helped me out with financing when he could have turned me away. Because of these guys my car is now safe to drive. They've earned a loyal customer here!

After talking to others about Zuppos, and hearing of over-speculative lists of needs from inspections, I had the work looked at by a competitor Auto Service who felt most, if not all the work was unnecessary to pass inspection.

In general, I've been using this auto service, because it is open every weekend, and one can pick up the car on Sundays. The quality of the work was fine, although there have been instances where I've felt I've been overcharged for service, or that additional charges were added in that seemed disproportionate to the work done. Specifically, within the last three months, the garage replaced all the belts in my car. One of the belts started failing, so it had to be replaced again during inspection as I noticed a screeching sound, which prompted me to bring it up to the service manager. Although the garage did not charge me for replacing the part itself, I was still charged over $30 for labor -- which I felt was paying double for work that should have been warranted. A few months ago when all the belts were changed, I noticed some bulbs out and asked the garage to change the bulbs, and was surprised when they charged approximately $50 for changing 8 lightbulbs. When I called the service manager later in the week to address the warranty of work + parts, I did not feel that the "customer's needs" are first, but that the concern is more to make sure the mechanics have to be paid for their time. I can appreciate that the company needs to make a living, as do the mechanics. However, I get a general feeling that the little extra's of customer service that lead to customer satisfaction are missing with this garage. Consequently, I have chosen not to go back to this auto service center despite the convenience of the hours, and the fact that in general they do decent work.

It was excellent! It took more than a day so they provided us with a loaner car to make sure we had transportation.
