    We had our system installed, probably 13 or 14 years ago. We really have not had anything since then with them other than monthly monitoring. They call immediately if the alarm goes off; it is within a few seconds. If they don't get an answer on the home phone right away they immediately call down the list of phone numbers that we provided them. They do also call the police immediately if there is no response on the phone numbers. If it is a false alarm and I get the call in time they do cancel the call to the police so that we don't get charged for a false alarm. I think they charge somewhere around $30 monthly. They have always been responsive and have never missed an alarm call.

    Salesman used scare tactics (crime on the rise in this area, etc.) which I fell for - that's my own fault. Within a few months of signing 5 year contract (again, my own mistake) the system started making automated calls to my home telling me that it wasn't receving a signal. When I called to ask for assistance, they tried to help over the phone then told me I'd have to pay $80 for a service call BUT if I extended my contract then it would be free - this happened more than once. Finally tried to cancel service after the contract was up. "Cancellation team" member tried repeatedly to get me to "give them a chance" to make this up, again offering a service call - this tme for $25 - and said that I must have misunderstood the last rep I spoke to. Since I still have my notes from that call I'm comfortable that it was not my comprehension. THEN when I become firm about cancelling she switched to inflamatory language diverting blame for the relationship/service failure on me. After all of that, turns out they have to send my an email to cancel. Avoid them. There are better providers out there who won't try to bully you.

    SimpliSafe Home Security
    Simplisafe was wonderful.   I received the equipment within a week of ordering and dragged my feet setting it up.   Once I found some time to set it up I ran through the detailed directions and had it up and running in no time with one exception.   I didn't get the call for the test signal.   A lot of that had to do where I had the base station, even though it glowed blue it was not receiving a consistent signal.   I called Simplisafe tech support and they ran me through some simple troubleshooting.   The support agent provided me with a new cell board that works perfectly.   I installed it once received and sent the old one back.   No issues since then and the service has worked well (interactive plan).

    Unsatisfied with overall install. Tech seemed initially confused & when I called office initial contact response was rude & inappropriate. Eventually work was completed, but were really overpriced. I would not use this company again if I had to do it over.

    Omega Security Systems Inc
    Called a couple different alarm companies to give us a quote on a home security and camera system at our new house.  Dan Renn came out and spent over 2 hours answering all our questions and explaining our different options.  They were more expensive than our other quote (from a national alarm company), but we liked that Omega is a family run business, and the responses to follow up questions to Dan were answered within minutes.  Their monitoring prices were actually less than the national company for the plan we chose.
    On the day of installation, Dan himself came out with 2 technicians and they spent the day installing everything.  We had a problem with one of the sensors and they sent someone out right away and they solved the problem.   We have accidentally set off the alarm a few times and they responded within 15 seconds!
    On Monday during Hurricane Sandy, I started to wonder about the power going out and how that would affect the alarm system.  I emailed Dan with the questions and even during that crazy day, I had an answer back within 10 minutes...now THAT'S service.  I would highly recommend their company!!!
