Excellent. Jason came out and provided us with what turned out to be the lowest bid. Jason was very professional and did not try to pressure us. The work was completed in less than two days and the basement is now bone dry and the moldy smell is gone. When I had questions, Jason returned my calls very quickly and answered and addressed all concerns. This was even after they received payment. My only regret is I did not hire them years ago.

I have to say that as someone who is a manger in municipal government and deals with contractors all the time, I believe this was probably the best experience I've ever had with a contractor.
During a torrential downpour after an ice storm, my wife and I discovered that we had water pooling outside one of the windows in the back left corner of the basement. It was seeping down in the foundation and coming through where the concrete floor met the cinder block foundation. A good amount of water was already there and it was about 2-3 inches deep in an area that would probably be the size of a small bedroom. The worst part is that it would not stop! Even after I cleaned it up with a Shop Vac it kept coming.
First of all, AJ answered his phone at 10 o'clock at night which is rather impressive in itself. He gave my wife and I some advice on how to slow the infiltration down until he could get there personally. He said he would be there the next day. The next day there was about 8 inches of snow on the ground and I thought there wasn't anyway he'd get there. But he actually showed up in the worst snowstorm of the year. He evaluated the situation, told me what it would require to fix it, and let me know what it would cost. He said he could do it the next day. I received a couple of over-the-phone quotes from other waterproof basement companies and I can tell you AJ was very reasonable compared to the estimate many were giving me.
AJ and his crew showed up the following morning and were great. I can't say enough about his crew and how professional and efficient they were. By 2 pm my french drains and sump pump were installed. Now, obviously the most important part is the quality and whether or not everything worked. Well the system has gotten plenty of use in the last week due to snow melt and rain and I can report that the drains and pump are working as designed!
This was one of the most stressful situations we've had during our short time as homeowners and  AJ really helped alleviate that stress. I want to have some outside work done to reinforce what has been done on the inside and I plan on calling AJ again.

Performed work timely and professionally. Didn't seal vapor barrier to walls as discussed. Refused to return calls/email regarding issue. It was a big deal, so I understand that he can't keep coming out. But I would have appreciated further communication.

    The Basement Professor
This whole process went well. Very smoothly from the estimate to completion. The workers were also very friendly. Would suggest their services to anyone. I work at home and barely was interrupted. They know what they are doing. Feeling so much better with the mold gone. Thank you so much.

    Main Line Waterproofing
Mainline waterproofing was very responsible in completing the installation. 1) They explained the entire workplan in detail 2) Any changes( ie approach to the steps found after demolishion) required were fully explained, reason for the change and how the change would effect schedule. There were no changes in the quoted price even though some adjustments required more work. The crew was very pleasant,  They made dust control a priority and  cleaned the work area each day. The floor retoration was very good quality, even with the floor and very structurally sound. We are very happy with the french drain and sump installation.

I would not hire this guy, not trustworthy smooth talking BS. This is the guy Angie's list was created to warn you about! I purchased the crawl space vapor barrier deal for $150 ($500 value). He lied to me on multiple occasions and tried to sell me stuff I don't need for over $4000. He refused to do the "BIG DEAL" that I purchased. He was simply using that to get bigger jobs which is fine, but I just need the deal. I did everything I could to work with him for 4 months including just give me the materials and I would do the work myself for the $150 I had paid. The only way he would do just the $150 deal that I purchased, is if I paid him the FULL VALUE of $500. I need this done to fix the Radon problem in our new house. He told me my sq ft was more than the deal so he need to charge me more. The deal was for 500 sq ft and my space was 400 sq ft. He is not trustworthy. He would not return my call or emails for weeks at a time. I was professional and polite. I cancelled the big deal.

    Waterproofing One
Joe's team did an amazing job and performed all work in a very professional and timely manner.
Four months after the pressure relief system and gravity fed drainage system were both installed, our basement has been completely water free, even after 5 snow storms, an ice storm and driving rain.  Gravity fed system was an extremely creative solution that no other contractor offered.
We recommend Joe and his team without hesitation.  If you have flooding, water intrusion or possible mold issues, Joe is your man.

    AJ Waterproofing
I am a very thorough person who typically do a lot of research before hiring someone. AJ was the seventh provider that I called. He came in right on time, did not just look at the wet spot, but put up the carpet and carefully examined the situation in the whole basement. His explanation of the water problem was different from other providers, but is very clear and logic. I am an engineer and i know his explanation was correct. He did not offer the lowest price, but I ended up hiring him to do the job.
I am very satisfied with the job that they did in my basement. his guys came in early in the morning, and immediately covered everything and isolated the working area from upstairs. they worked very efficiently and took care of all the details. they very very nice and answered all of my questions. After the job, they cleaned up everything, and the next day, his handyman came in and finished the painting. my basement looks great now, even better than before.
AJ is a very honest person, he is very straightforward, but I appreciate his sincerity. He is a happy person and I really enjoyed communicating with him. I actually have recommended him to several of my friends. what a nice experience.

Morgan Basement Waterproofing & Mold Remediation
I wasn't very happy with what Morgan Basement Waterproofing & Mold Remediation suggested. He wanted to charge us $3,400.00 to water proof our basement, and we found someone who charged a lot less money. He seemed like a good guy, but the problem is, he tried to sell us something we didn't need.

    Value Dry
The WORST business EVER in terms of respecting their customers - oh, please excuse my wording - potential customers, because under their definition, I am not their customer yet.
I found this company through Angie's list and contacted them. They requested that both me and my wife be home during the estimate. It was wired, but I understood it because I experienced the same marketing strategy before from a windows company. So, I manage to find a weekend day that works for both me and my wife - it is hard for families with kids, as some of the reviewers mentioned. HOWEVER, they called me one day before to reschedule our appointment, because of their scheduling issues. I was okay with that, and managed to find another date, a week day to fit their schedule better, which is today at 6:00 pm. AND this time, they called me at 5:15 pm, and said that they just got two service calls and wanted to reschedule my estimate appointment again.
In summary, Value Dry canceled my appointment TWICE due to their own issues, with NO respect to me and my time and effort to schedule the appointments. That is WHY I am writing this definitely NEGATIVE review here at Angie's list, and anywhere I can find on the internet. Readers, please note that there must be a reason why a company received so many C/F reviews.
So my advice, if you want to waste a month waiting for nothing but their calls to cancel your schedule, Value Dry is the way to go. Or you may take their "real customers" who don't really care to write a review more than 4 lines.
