    Wire Guys By Arc Electric
They did a good job. There was one disappointing issue in that they did not have a carbide drill bit to drill through ceramic floor tile to feed the wire up to the hot water heater from the crawlspace below so the technician fractured the tile where he was drilling with a regular bit. He sort of pieced it back together and put some silicone where the chipped corner of the tile was broken away but it disappointed me that it happened at all. It was in a closet where the hot water heater is so not visible when the door is closed but i still know it's there and am disappointed it happened at all. I feel he should have stopped the job and gone out and purchased an appropriate drill bit for ceramic tile or come back with the right tools to do it correctly. I had told them the details of what the job was before they came out so they should have had the right tools to begin with. Overall all the technician did a good job otherwise and he was very nice and I would hire them again.

    JL Electric
My son recently bought a house in the area. It was an older house with outdated electrical service.
Being new in the area, I procured several quotes. JL Electric wasn't the cheapest, but I got the impression from the beginning that he was the right man for the job. He had a working knowledge of and relationship with the Power Co. (PPL) that made him the right choice. He pointed out things that were not to code (which we knew were not) and addressed them individually, answering a ton of questions. I never felt rushed by him and he was very thorough and patient.
The old fuse box had been installed (over 50 years ago) right above the area where the well water came into to the house. So, we knew right off the bat that the new breaker box would need a new location. He helped me choose a location that wouldn't interfere with future renovations.
Once the work started, he discovered that some circuits were "double tapped" ie: the dryer and AC were using the same fuse.
James' crew re-wired that for us at no additional charge. He added a whole house surge protector/lightning arrestor. When the PPL rep came out, it was discovered that the service line coming from the street was too low as it crossed the driveway. It was only 6 inches, but code is code, I suppose.
The PPL rep and James took considerable time to come up with a remedy. We opted to add a mast to the house (all to raise the cable up a whole 6 inches!). James found just the right mast over an hour away and promptly purchased it. It took about 3 additional hours but his crew never stopped working on what they could while he was gone.
He did not charge me extra for the time or traveling (except for the materials of course).
In short, my son and his family have a safe, updated to code home thanks to James Lake and his crew. I would recommend him for any job large or small. If we ever need work done in this area, I will be calling him!

    Murphy Family Services
I wasted three days waiting for a call. I noticed that their address was in VA, but assumed they had "satellite" offices near me.
Angie's List map showed that this company serviced the Lehigh Valley in PA. I was told that "they were working with Angie's List to fix the problem".

There had been water damage under most of the 12x12 tiles. I had removed the laundry machines, toilet, and vanity. The tiles came out as the glue bond was gone. Once I saw the condition of the subfloor I decided the work was beyond my skill. A Plus did the rest on two different visits. They fully removed the subflooring and prepped the area to refit a new smooth layer for the flooring. Then the flooring was cut and fitted. This ended the first visit as I had some plumbing issues to solve--the original problem. On the second visit a completely new run of dryer vent was installed which required a new exterior location and louver. This was to replace an inadequate vent that was completely blocked.

    Wire Guys By Arc Electric
It was absolutely fantastic. The young fellow was absolutely phenomenal and I have nothing but good things to say about them. They went through the whole house to make sure everything was safe. They got the job done in about 90 minutes. The scheduling was fantastic, very easy, accommodating, and couldn’t be better.

    Deiter Brothers Heating Cooling Energy
We have a classic cedar A-Frame home that was originally built with baseboard electric heat. The original owner had also installed a nice propane Vermont Castings stove to provide supplemental heat as well. When we moved into the home in September there were some very humid days and we also found the electric baseboard heat ran pretty much non stop as the temperatures dropped in November and early December. Not wanting to spend a fortune on propane or electric baseboard heat we decided to go with a heat pump to provide both heat and air conditioning for the home.
We contacted Deiter Brothers based on a recommendation from another contractor we used to replace our electrical panel. We spoke with Dave who then scheduled an appointment to come up and evaluate and measure the rooms of the home to take the data back in order to calculate heat load and to size the proper unit for the space.  The original idea had been to use a ductless system in the home but based on the unique characteristics of the space (As mentioned, it's an A-Frame with a very high open area with a loft in the back) it was clear that would not have been a good choice.
Dave then returned to the home after calculating the loads with a colleague Dennis who reviewed the task of installing supply and return ducting for the system. Dennis did an outstanding job in determining the best locations for the supply and return ducts so that they would have minimum impact on the look of the home.
We decided to go with a 17 SEER Lennox system. The job was scheduled for early January which was just before it began to get extremely cold in this area. The job took a couple of days to complete including the duct work installation as well as the installation of the air handler and condenser unit. Dennis did an amazing job with the installation of the ducting. The rest of the team did an outstanding job and were really great to have working in our home. They took great care to install keep things clean and neat, installing a carpet protector everywhere they would be working. They did a fantastic job in all phases of the installation.
They finished the job on a Friday evening and the next evening we experienced an issue with the operation of the unit. We discovered Saturday evening that the system was not going into defrost mode so it began to ice up. We called for service and we received a call back from a member of the installation team. He talked us through how to shutdown the heat pump system for the evening and use the auxiliary heat for the evening so the system would not be damaged. They then came back up here the next afternoon which was a Sunday and tweaked the charge in the unit and made a few other setting adjustments to get the system running properly again. What service! We were so impressed with their professionalism and desire to get things working properly for us.
The system they installed has worked great to provide heat during the extremely cold winter we just experienced. When the heat pump was unable to bring the home up to temperature the auxiliary heat worked great to keep the house warm and comfortable. As the temperatures have moderated this spring the heat pump has been able to efficiently manage the load and we have been very comfortable and happy.
We are very satisfied with the work and system and are very glad we were able to have Deiter Brothers do the work. They are an outstanding company and their entire team does great work. We could not be more satisfied and pleased and highly recommend them.

The generator was wired wrong. He didn't want to take any responsibility for almost burning my house down. His workers destroyed the floor in the room they worked in. We had to re-sand and refinish the floors in the room where they worked. He has been back 6-8 times to repair work that was done wrong and hasn't been successful in doing so. He hasn't made good for all the damages caused when my light fixtures exploded, and the damage done to the surge protectors and two computers. Buyer beware.

    Wire Guys By Arc Electric
Wire Guys started with the generator and worked to the inside and tested it to make sure it was right and gave a thorough explanation on everything as it was done and gave us a clean bill of health. Their costs were very reasonable for their skill level and knowledge.  I have them on speed dial.  I would give them an A+.
