  doug and his crew--andrew, ed and chris--were all very professional. they were prompt, courteous, clean and the work environment (pleasant and no foul language!!) was VERY much appreciated! all of our concerns were addressed, when additional work was needed, it wasn't a problem, and...the piece de resistance: when supplies came in under the anticipated price, doug let me know and detracted that sum from the balance due!! :) :) i will recommend cahill construction again and again, based upon my very positive experience!

  Every step was professional and Mr. Cahill responded to every change in plans that I asked for. He estimated cost and duration of job and he was true to his word. The project turned out great. He was a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate call on him and his crew again.

  Refinishing floors - The floors were pretty badly stained when I bought the house. I've had 3 prior bids to refinish the floors, all three said they could not remove the stains and quoted me ~ $3 a sq. ft. to sand, stain and finish. Mike was the 4th person to bid on the floors. He felt confident he could get the stains out, and quoted $6 a sq. ft. It was expensive but I had high hopes we could get the stains out. In the end he couldn't get the stains out and we stained the floors dark to hide the stains as much as possible. The floors look good, I just wish I had gone with one of the other three bids, it would have saved me a lot of money. But I can't fault Mike for that. I've attached photos of the before and after in the living room. Touch up baseboards - Clearly painting is Spotless Solutions strong suit. The baseboards look great and the cost was reasonable. Install tankless water heater - Mike subbed this out to Don Kuhn plumbing. Don and RJ did a really professional and neat job. We hit a couple of bumps along the way: the first tank was damaged and had to be replaced, the first vent wouldn't work in the location where the tank was being installed and had to be exchanged. This wasn't my first rodeo, so I expected that there would be some gotcha's, no surprise there. It all worked out and the tank is great. Don and RJ really impressed me by staying for at least an hour after the tank was installed to test it and tweak the installation until it was perfect. Add electrical circuit - Brandon did a great job and was very professional. And he even installed a light switch that was not part of the original scope of work. Great guy, highly recommended. Install exterior door - This is where the project took a turn for the worse. I was out of town on the Monday that Mike and his helper came to install the door. I didn't return home until Thursday evening and since I hadn't heard otherwise, I assumed the installation went well. I was wrong. The first thing I noticed was a large uneven gap between the door and the casing on the strike side. I could fit my finger into the gap, and the latch was barely catching on the strike. When I tried to open and close the door, it took considerable force to open and close it. The screen door wouldn't close or latch. There was a screw missing from each of the hinges, turns out those were the 4" screws that should have been used to attach the door to the frame, instead the door was nailed into the frame. various other pieces of trim were missing, the closer for the screen door was reinstalled improperly. The door had to be removed and reinstalled properly. Mike subbed that out to a carpenter, who did the work right. Overall, I think the thing that irritates me the most about the door debacle is the lack of communication. Clearly Mike had to know that the door was not installed properly. He was on the job the entire time. Mike tried to blame it on his helper, saying he left him there to finish up so he didn't know about the problems with the door. But I have security cameras in the house and I saw that it was Mike who was working on the door, and Mike and his helper left together. I would have appreciated a phone call or text message letting me know that the door wasn't 100%. It left a really bad taste in my mouth. To add insult to injury, when I got the invoice, there was a $500 mistake in Mike's favor. I'm glad I went over it carefully.

  Excellent.  KLA  staff from operations manager Fred Williams down the chain to lead carpenter/do it all guy Robert were the consummate professionals.  They made themselves available to answer questions, quell concerns and displayed absolute professionalism while also doing a great job.  KLA is not the cheapest game in town but it is definitely the best and they honored all commitments they made with respect to cost and delivery of on time service.

  We've used KLA in the past on other projects, the most notable being a full basement renovation approximately four years ago.  The quality of work then was just as good as it is today.  I did notice that in the four years between major projects, the staff has a lot of folks I remember dealing with.  Their staff retention speaks positively towards the way they conduct business.

  We needed some repair work/patching done to a ceiling and a wall due to past water damage.  Cliff came out (on time) to look at the area and provide an estimate.  When the day came for the repair, he and his helper were on-time, very professional, efficient, and did great work.  As part of the repair he had to create a textured surface to blend in with the existing structure.  He did an amazing job of matching the designs.  Considering the art form that plastering can be, it is a very impressive repair.  They cleaned up everything after they were done and were out of there in a few short hours.
  Very impressed with the service we received from Cliff and would readily use him again.  I only wish he performed other trades also, as I would love to receive his level of service from other contractors.  Highly recommended!

  Got a quote of $250 to paint 2 bedrooms. Left detail work (around door frames and window frames untouched). Sloppy work. Had a quote on a side deck. He left more than half unfinished and said he underquoted work.

  I highly recommend Hoover Painting!!
  We found Neil Hoover's services on Angie's List. We asked him to stain a set of interior rails from light to dark. We hated the color of our rails but after Hoover Painting's staining, they are a true showpiece. The color is exactly what we wanted. Neil worked with us to ensure the color was perfect. He provided us with samples of various colors until we found the one we liked, and when he completed the job our rails were OUTSTANDING!!
   
  In addiition, after he completed the rail transformation, we asked him to paint a firplace cover for us but we didn't quite know what color to choose, he has an expert eye because he took our 80's gold fireplace cover and changed it into a true work of art. We are more then satisfied with Hoover Painting and would recommend his services to any of our friends and family.
  We are so happy with Hoover Painting that we are also hoping we can have Neil paint the exterior of our entire house next year. If you have ANY painting needs, HIRE HOOVER PAINTING!! Quality work from a true professional.

  I bought an online coupon (Groupon) for steam carpet cleaning that featured this company. I made an appointment and had the option of keeping the original service of steam cleaning 5 areas for $59, or having a deep cleaning done of any area for another $20 per area. My carpets were quite soiled so I elected the deep clean for all areas, plus I asked them to do the front porch indoor/outdoor carpet and some additional steps.
  This company called to confirm the date a few days before, and gave me a time they would be here. They showed up on time, and all I had to do was remove knick-knacks. Two men moved all furniture and took care of everything. They use a portable machine, as opposed to a truck with a hose. I was amazed at how fast they were- they did the job in an hour and 15 minutes. And my carpets were very satisfactory. I've had carpets cleaned before and I don't remember anyone else being as fast or doing as good a job. They also presented the invoice for the work up front and discussed and made price changes before they began.
  In short, they lived up to their name. They were quick and everything was clean. By the time I added the extra rooms and deeper cleaning, I paid a little more, but felt it was worth it.
