    T and T Remodeling
Horrible experience. Brian was a charmer until the money was in his pocket and then he developed an attitude. A job expected and promised to take 5 days rolled into 3 weeks and the job still wasn't completed. After a few days the workers would either fail to show up or spend only 1-2 hours on site. The quality of their work was poor to say the least. The tiles were crooked or missing grout; the drywall was damaged at the corners around the closet and painted over without proper prep work; the tub was not installed correctly and the water would not fully drain off of the ledge; the hole for the shower was cut to big and they tried to hide it; the mirror and lighting were not hung. I discovered later on when I had my kitchen ceiling replaced the T&T Remodeling used spray foam (used for sealing around windows and door frames) underneath the tub instead of cement on cement board. Also, instead of replacing the pipes connecting the tub drain to the main stack, they used rubber hoses and hose clamps to connect the two...and it leaked down the interior wall. When I asked Brian to come to my house to inspect the bad workmanship he arrived and said he have his painter fix everything. I even had identified 50 different problems numbers on masking tape to easily locate. Two days later his painter showed up and proceeded to remove all of the tape and then left without doing any work. Brian called me a few days later after I left about a dozen messages on his voice mail to tell me that no matter what he does he won't please me and therefore I can keep the remaining balance owed. The problem is that amount was for work never done, i.e. installing the sconces, painting the walls and ceiling, electrical outlet installation, etc. During Thanksgiving we noticed a spot in our kitchen ceiling and called Brian. He did send his "plumber" over who said the issue was with the seal under the toilet bowl. He said he fixed it but months later we discovered that he didn't and he just moved the rubber hose closer to the wall so the leak in the connection would drip down the interior wall instead of on the ceiling. (See pics) I would not have hired this guy if I had taken the time to investigate this guy more thoroughly. He falsely advertised he is a member of the Better Business Bureau, that he is fully insured (I contacted the insurance company he had on file at Lower Merion Twp and they dropped him months before) and he only had accident coverage for his employees and not for the homeowner. I even found more info I can't print here. A few months later Brian called and said that he would return $300 to me to settle everything. I got qoutes from other contractors and they were in the neighborhood of $3,000 to $6500 and his reply was "that wasn't going to happen". He said I can sue him but he has more lawyers than I do. After researching him on the different county/government web portals, I definitely know he has a lot of experience in the court room. This guy should be banned from operating a business!

    Freedom Painters
We have used Freedom Painters for multiple painting jobs and ceiling repairs over the past 4 years. Owner Justice always personally assessed the scope of the projects and gave a detailed and firm estimate. The crew does very clean and professional work, and all of our projects were done timely and on budget. We are very happy with Freedom Painters and will continue to hire and recommend this company.

    Housing Solutions, Inc.
I met with the owner "Neal" he was knowledgeable about what I needed done it was as if he was reading my mind. His pricing was fair and honest. I said to myself this is to good to be ture, however once the paper was done it was time to see Neal and his guys at work !! He came to my house with a crew of workers who were very professional, clean and courteous. The workers followed Neals instructions and seeked my advise on every detail of the project. It wasnt long before I began to feel as if an old family friend was doing the job. I will miss all of them!!! I cant wait to work with Housing Solution on my next project.

    Vincenzo's Custom Painting
Did not happen. Painter didn't feel that for the price quote it was in his best interest to bother in honoring the agreement. Claims didn't realize the travel time was as far as it is. He said he would speak with Angie's List for returning my payment. No refund has been received. No happy with either Angie's List nor painter.

I bought the big deal for 2 painters for a day, they were very responsive and scheduled my appointment very quickly. Work was not preformed however because after consulting with a realtor I decided not to paint the home I was selling but I would consider using them again without a problem. It was easy to cancel my appointment and they were very professional.

    Vincenzo's Custom Painting
I purchased the deal on 12/19/16. Nothing went well at all. As soon as I purchased the deal I went on line to set up approximate dates/times as requested. It took 2 days for anyone to get back to me (which was ok at first). Vincenzo phoned my home after the 2nd day but I was at work. I returned the call in about an hour because my husband informed me that he called. I didn't hear from him again until after the Xmas holiday and he scheduled me for December 30th at 9 AM (which was ok). Vincenzo phoned around 8:30 the day he was due to come out and stated that he had car trouble and that he would be there around 11:00. 11:30 came, 12:00 came and still no call and no show. We were annoyed because no one took the time to call. I called the office around 12:05 and left a message and 12:15 the door bell rings and it's Vinzenzo and his brother. He announced who he was and introduced his brother, shook my hand but NOT ONE APOLOGY for being later than stated so that annoyed me. My husband took them in the basement to show them the work and Vincenzo took 10 minutes talking about how nice my dinette set looked in my basement and that he had extra space in his basement and that he never thought about putting one in his basement. The deal stated 1 painter for 4 hrs. or 2 painters for 4 hrs. but I was never asked which option I wanted. When I said something to him I was told that he doesn't work alone so it's 2 painters for 2 hrs. which was ok but the option for 1 or 2 painters should not be stated if as he stated "he does not work alone". I didn't ask for either option because I just assumed that since he asked me what work that I wanted done that he would assess which was the better option. When I just mentioned it was when he said he doesn't work alone. When it took so long for him to return the call that should have been a "red flag" right there. Yes, I was annoyed because of the "take your time to set up the appointment", then they were late, with no call, then no apology at all and then spending 10 minutes talking about my dinette set before he could get started with what I needed done. A couple of words got passed between Vincenzio and I and he said I didn't seem happy with him so he would rather that he just didn't do the work and that I got a refund on my money and he left. I would not hire him again ever. I'm not saying he doesn't do good work, I wouldn't know but for me he wasn't very professional (no calls, lateness and no apology for being late and this is what ticked me off.) Thank you.

    Affordable Weaver Painting
Wayne's best friend and associate, Derek, came to look at my basement for an estimate. He came across as friendly and professional. I was looking to have the ceiling joists and walls painted with a sprayer for a fresh, clean look. I specifically told Derek, I was not looking for a finished product, just "one coat to clean things up and convey potential to future homebuyers." Derek seemed in agreement that spraying the ceiling would be appropriate. He asked very few questions about the job and could not be very specific in answering my questions. He mostly just took pictures and told me Wayne would look at it and get back to me with an estimate. A week went by and the estimate came through: $5,000 (4k for labor and 1k for paint)! The estimate included two coats of paint and suggested that moldings needed to be caulked as part of the preparation. I don't have moldings in my basement and I specifically asked for one coat. Not only did the estimate not reflect what I was asking for, but it was nearly twice as high as the highest estimate I received and was 3,500 higher than the bid I accepted. They must not need the work. I responded to Derek's estimate, respectfully letting him know about the price discrepancy between his bid and other bids. The response was brief- "Ok good for you..." Sadly, it was not good for me. I cannot recommend un-affordable, Weaver Painting to anyone and will not seek their business in the future.

    Freedom Painters
Justice came by for an estimate. He was on-time and amicable. We discussed the painting of my basement in detail. He said he would include line-items to offer several options. He said it was a busy time, but that he would get back to me with an estimate. Great, no problem. The estimate never came. I thought about contacting him, but then realized that if I had to be this proactive just to get a bid, I probably did not want him and his crew working on my house anyway. It is worth noting that within five minutes of meeting me and finding out how I heard about Freedom Painters (through Angie's List of course), Justice told me how much he hated bad reviews and even took them personally. If his professionalism was on point, I would not be writing this review.

    Ed Ruszaj
Ed was very willing to work with my unusual schedule and was always on time.  He was respectful of my home, his work was neat and I am very happy with the results.  Very important to me is that Ed was willing to follow my directions and make any necessary adjustments as the job progressed.  I would not hesitate to recommend him.
