Water Heater Repair And Installation reviews in Lancaster

This was the best experience we've ever had with a service provider. He arrived early, then discovered we didn't really need an entirely new water heater. He replaced the parts which were faulty, stayed to make sure everything was operating properly, and saved us over $1,000. If I could give him a grade higher than an "A," I would!!!

Wonderfully! When he came the first time, he installed clean-out valves that should have been there and ran a descaling process. He spent quite a lot of time on the phone with the tankless heater's tech support and worked to get it running while we ordered what we needed to go forward. When he came back, he installed not only the new tank system but a new tankless backup system as well. It has worked beautifully since. The tank is a dream with little delay in getting hot water to a faucet, even over a 50 foot run. I have not needed (and hope not to have to use) the tankless and may adapt that for a new addition I'm planning. The cost for the two days of work and the new system was eminently reasonable despite getting a replacement for the tankless unit as well as an 85 gallon Marathon (high end) tank and setting up the redundancy. I am well pleased.

Technician showed up at the scheduled time. Drained hot water tank and checked anode rod. My heater is approximately 11 years old and has probably never had this service done. The anode was completely gone. Quoted price of $289.00 to replace anode. Given the age of the heater and the fact that this was the original anode I opted not to have this service done. Spoke with the technician about the installation of a tank-less water heater.

Scheduled a Water Heater flush after purchasing the $35 coupon on this site.  The tech who came to my house was knowledgeable, professional and polite, but clearly the $35 coupon is an excuse for them to come to the house and offer a range of other services. Still, the anode rod was clearly pretty corroded, so I asked to have it changed. Cost for that work was $235, so $270 total for flush and rod replacement. Not the best prices in town, but overall I'm pleased with the service.

He was A+ in every aspect except estimates.  Proper and professional in every way.  He was overpriced but I don't think he personally controls the estimates as franchises like his have set rates.

Technician was the most professional I have ever worked with. Explained each issue found on the whole house plumbing inspection. He worked with me to complete the most critical work first considering my budget.  I would not hesitate to use this company again or to recommend them to others.

After getting three estimates, decided on Swisher Plumbing & Heating. Paul Sr. was very straight-forward and was willing to discuss options and prices without trying to sell me any additional maintenance or service plans.Work date and time was set for late morning, but Paul  Jr. was unable to make it due to previous job running long. He did call and reschedule for the next day.
Paul Jr. arrived on time and began work immediately. I was impressed with the thoroughness, professionalism and neatness of the work. I would definitely want to re-hire Swisher Plumbing & Heating to do any of my plumbing work again.  The pricing was reasonable and I was very pleased with the work.

They were friendly and prompt and professional.  My husband was originally upset because the taps didn't do temperature and water volume separately in our showers.  But, he's used to it now and they work well.
I also was impressed that they noted a problem with our relatively new water heater, and were gracious when we told them that we had a whole house insurance that meant that we needed to use another firm (one recommended/sent by the insurer) to do that work.    If I could have chosen them to do the work, I would have.

They do great work!  We've used them multiple times and found them to be very professional, responsive, thorough, and skilled in water heater installations. We haven't had too much of an occasion to price around, though.  On one instance they were able to come out in an emergency, too.  They schedule on our convenience and tend to work pretty quickly -- the water heater was installed in one day.

Paul arrived timely for both visits... on the second visit he worked for about 1.5 to 2 hours, and discussed the job as needed and when he was done. Paul is a very polite and pleasant individual. He seems to be very knowledgeable and conscientious. The only thing we could not get done was to get the potty seat changed...i thought i ordered the correct size but i goofed and the seat i bought was a short elongated not as long as we need. The amount he estimated was the amount charged.
