    VCA Smoketown Animal Hospital
Do NOT go to Dr. Leanne Murphy. In our opinion, our cat died as a direct result of her actions. Smoketown will reply to this review saying it is inconclusive and we were warned that there are risks with any procedure, but Ill lay out the facts and you can decide for yourself. We had a 12-year-old cat and we wanted to move to Hawaii. This requires a microchip and two rabies shots within the cats lifetime. We asked Dr. Murphy about this thinking she would just confirm our thoughts that the process would be too **** ** his health. Instead, Dr. Murphy said she thought it wouldnt be a problem. She then conducted tests to confirm his overall health and fitness for the procedure. This is where it all started to go wrong, though we didnt know it at the time. Dr. Murphy insisted that even though he had a shot when he was a kitten, and we had the documentation, that wasnt good enough. She said he had to have both shots after the microchip implantation. We later found out this is not true, but since she told us she had done many of these procedures in her career, we believed her. Dr. Murphy also insisted that one month of time between the two shots was adequate. We asked her repeatedly if it was safe, we thought we should wait more time. She insisted that one month was an adequate period between shots and there was virtually no danger, again citing the many times she had done this procedure. That fact that we kept asking her about it should have made it clear that we did not want to take any chances. We surely didnt want to move that bad. Instead, we were getting the rolling of the eyes type of response when we questioned her, leading us to believe that we were totally misinformed about any type of danger. I must say she was very convincing. Two weeks after the second rabies shot our cat had the OIE-FAVN test. His numbers were 10 times the required level. Wouldnt you think a test result that high would raise red flags? That clearly indicates he had an overdose of the vaccine and his body was trying desperately to fight it off. Wouldnt you think he should be immediately hospitalized for observation/treatment? Dr. Murphy didnt think so. Shortly afterward our cat was dead ,There is no doubt in our minds that he died because of the second rabies shot. Since then we have researched this. Something we will forever regret not doing before going to Dr. Murphy. It is clear there is a problem with the rabies vaccine in small animals, despite the manufacturer and Dr. Murphy claiming it is safe. This has absolutely overwhelmed us. They say that time heals all wounds. That has NOT been the case with our beloved cat. Its like a black cloud hanging over us, and every day gets worse. This is a far different kind of pain than when you must put a pet down because of health problems. The fact is, our cats death was OUR OWN FAULT, because instead of listening to our own common sense and gut feelings, we were taken in by Dr. Murphys self-proclaimed expertise, and now we are forced to live with that devastating decision for the rest of our lives. Im sure Dr. Murphy has no problem with it. Unlike most of us, who think of our pets as members of our family, she just sees them as animals, and hey, sometimes they die. No big deal. Ask yourself, is THAT who you want to trust with their life? Im sure Smoketown will respond saying they take our feedback seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you more about this. What that means is that they will say theres no proof he died from the vaccine, that he could have died for some other reason. Anything but admit that possibly they made a horrible mistake and caused his death. In other words, all the normal responses that are given when trying to avoid responsibility.

Lincoln Highway Vets seem capable of the mundane care of a pet such as immunizations or neutering. However, we just had to euthanize our 8 year old Lab who was diagnosed with Pancreatis and Diabetes, after we took her in for not eating, vomiting repeatedly and diarhea. she went to their hospital for 4 days. the they told us to take her home. The next day when I called in to note that she was not eating...they had me come in. They gave me 5 varieties of pills...including a thyroid medication?? (but nothing for diabetes). We were unable to get her to take even one pill (we tried a pain pill). She was dead less than 15 hours later. They never apologized, never expressed "Her situation is serious, and we aren't really sure what else to try". Instead they accused me of not trying hard enough to give her the pills - actually claiming that THEY gave her pills (though her bill charges for all medications as injection form??) We are distressed.

I have had five labradors and none received the care and attention that the entire staff at Neffsville Veterinary Clinic showed my most recent dog. They all were so patient, caring and loving toward my dog as well as to myself. I would highly recommend this clinic. I have never had the customer service at any other clinic. The doctors and staff are highly professional and it is evident they want the best for one's pet and as well as for the pet parent.

    Manor Animal Hospital
She had surgery to determine if there was a blockage. She had to have several tests. They took such good care of her and really tried to figure out what was going on. Their service was impeccable. They called and checked in.
As hard as it was, their service was wonderful.

In December 2015 one of our 2 dogs got a yeast infection in the ears after grooming; about Feb July 2016 both dogs got severe yeast infections in the ears. The vet said it was from water in the ears. Since it happened not once, but twice, and they are not exposed to water, it must have been from the grooms. When I bath them, I keep my hand over their floppy ears and pour water gently on the head. In bathing dogs myself for 17 years, I never got water in their ears. It seems very difficult to do unless the hose was squirted up on their face or something: I do not understand it, Also one dog now cowers whenever I bathe her.

    Complete Canine Inc
Their service is great. It cost $12 apiece and I think it's a different cost if you get them clipped. I get them ground. They take the dogs, dremel their nails, get them back to me and it is quick and easy. The only thing that is a little bit of a inconvenience with Complete Canine is they are relatively new and so they don't have a lot of employees yet. So you don't have the ability to get a walk-in appointment. But they have very specific times when they do the grooming because they won't take the employees they do have away from the day care. So you have to go when they are not minding the dogs for day care for the grooming services. They are very responsive when I want to make an appointment. I can just email them and they email me the next day. They take the dogs at the appointed time and they do a great job with managing the behavior of the dogs while they learn to get their nails dremeled in a new situation. My lab was a little bit ticklish at first and they worked with him. They weren't put off by that at all. They were very responsive to behaviors of the dogs.

I was very pleased both times that I boarded my dog at Gochenauer. The first time was for a week and the second was for two weeks. Both times, she came home happy and healthy. Gochenauer offers add-on services; I added the daily "trail walk" which gave her an individual walk of 15 minutes. I also had her groomed at the end of the stay. The groomer did an excellent job, clipping to my specifications and fully brushing her out.

It is now 48 hours later since my dog has been diagnosed with a a 1-inch mass on her spleen and I have left two messages with the very pleasant vet techs at Neffsville and I have still have not had one word from the doctor who recommended the Ultra Sound nor from the attending vet who originally diagnosed by pet with esophagitis/GERD and put her on several medicines. I cannot believe that after two leaving two messages in two days neither Vet has called me back to go over the ultra sound and the mass on her spleen nor to go over the actual ultra sound and any other finding that the radiologist might have found. I am take my dog for laser there. But after this experience I will I be looking elsewhere for treatment for anything else that is more serious.

    Willow Run Veterinary Clinic
I use them all the time. They're much cheaper than other places I've been. I've been using them for years. It's easier to get an appointment there. They're available whenever you need them, whether it's an emergency or whatever.

    Manheim Pile Vererinary Hosp.
This was my first visit to Manheim Pike Veterinary Hospital. They were extremely pleasant and I was surprised how quick they were - we went right in. Everyone was genuinely excited to meet us and they were very thorough in the exam room, taking time to provide me with plenty of new puppy info and seeing whether I had any questions. I was very pleased with the care they provided and I can see that it is important to them to make each client feel welcome and not overlooked. I will definitely be returning.
