    Eye Associates-Lancaster Ltd
Be careful -- don't use Eye Associates of Lancaster (EAL) to purchase eyeglasses!! I bought a pair of frames and distance lenses, then had them put a pair of reading lenses into frames I already owned. The woman who sold them to me talked me into getting the premier kinds of lens with all the UV, etc., extras because she promised my vision insurance company covered most of it, then showed me what I would owe out of pocket, which wasn't cheap, but wasn't too bad. So I paid what they claimed I owed them when I picked up the two sets of glasses. SEVEN MONTHS later, I get a bill from them for $140. I called and talked to the billing person there. I explained that I would not have bought those premium lenses if I had known they weren't covered. I explained what the salesperson had told me. The billing clerk claimed that the insurance company refused to pay because they are "difficult" at that company and she would keep talking to them and see what she could work out with them because she'd never seen such a high amount that they refused. She said she would call back. Two weeks later I still had not heard from her, so I called the insurance company, which explained they do not ever pay for premium kinds of lenses, they only pay for the basics, and the company should have known that. The woman at the insurance company put me on hold and actually called EAL and talked to them, then explained that I needed to call them and talk to them because they should not have ever promised that the insurance company would pay for those. So I did. Sure enough, the woman said she had "just spoken with the insurance company" (as if she'd called them on her own, when I had to initiate it), and had spoken to her boss, who said I could just pay half of the bill. She made it sound like they were being very generous. A lawyer friend of mine said this is actually fraud, and they probably wouldn't try to get the money from me if I refuse to pay, especially since it's such a small amount to them, but I pay my debts. I'm furious though. They lied to me - and the fact that they waited seven months to bill me for what they should have known the insurance company wouldn't pay (and there was apparently no back and forth the way it can sometimes happen with health insurance bills - even those disagreements don't usually last seven months) makes it all highly suspicious. This company is unethical and can't be trusted. Don't do business with them!

    Sharp, Dr. John W
I had a cataract surgery about two years ago. I was very pleased with the results. I feel confident in his work because he has that air about him. He knows what he is doing. He is very pleasant and he listens to everything you have to say. He doesn't rush you, and he is a very busy person. I do like him and his staff an awful lot. His staff is very good too.

    Sharp, Dr. John W
He's super fantastic. They cast me right away, got me in right away, diagnose me right away and it turned out to be floaters bounce free by the concussion or whatever but he really did a thorough job. Even if you're not one of their people they would bring you in on emergency. It's well run office. Dr. Sharp was just wonderful. There was a pretest by someone with confidence and then you saw him.

Love this practice. We never had to wait, everyone is very professional. My daughter had just started driving and wanted to switch from glasses to contact lenses. Dr Walker was very thorough and explained everything to my daughter. It put her very much at ease. They even gave us another trial lens when my daughter lost one at bedtime. My husband has also gone to this practice for contact lenses. The staff is very thorough and make sure you are getting the correct pair of contact lens for you, not what is on sale. We highly recommend them.

The office staff was professional and thorough with the preliminary testing performed with the automated eye examination equipment to include a camera that takes a picture of the back of the eye and another piece of equipment that performs some testing of the lens of the eye. The doctor spent time asking questions about how I use my eyes, i.e. time in front of a computer terminal. He found an infection that I didn't even know I had. When I picked up my glasses there was an error in the prescription for the left lens. The staff was courteous and acknowledged that there was an error made and promptly corrected the error. Within a few days I had my glasses with the corrected script. The staff took out the time to ensure that the frames were fitted properly and comfortable. They ensured me that if there were any future needs to re-adjust the frames to feel free to stop by and they would take care of it.

They are fine. They always have what you need. They are complete and they have everything there but the people there could always be a little bit nicer. They are near our city so I feel like there is a lot of city people there. My overall experience with them has been good. You are also going to have to wait for a while when you are getting through a line there.

    Miller Optical Inc
I've had several pairs of glasses made at Miller. I use my own frames, which has never been a problem here (many opticians don't like to let customers use their own frames). Everyone was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. There was absolutely no hard sell to purchase additional bells and whistles. Had a minor problem with one lens--it couldn't be repaired so they replaced it for me. I've worn glasses for 40 years and I know what I want when I make a purchase--Miller's ability to meet my needs is why I'm a repeat customer.

    Brod, Dr. Roy D
He is an outstanding retina specialist and he has been taking care of my eyes for 35 years. He explains what's going on, what he is doing, and what's going to happen. However, he is really busy and basically, you will have to have a referral to be able to see him and the appointment time will depend on the severity of your problem. The office is really busy and you'll have to be in there for a while.

    Albright Opticians
We went on a Saturday morning around 11:15 am. We were waited on promtly. Person was very helpful in selecting frames and explaining options for lenses. Prices were very competitive for WELL-MADE glasses. Therefore, we purchased TWO pairs. Were ready to be picked up in less than a week. Family members said they will go there for glasses in the future instead of another local optician shop we used previously. Were very pleased with all aspects of transactions and with both pairs of glasses, to date.

    Kremer Eye Center
.The preliminary visit went well.  The day of the surgery we had a long wait that went well past our appointment time.  The people were all first rate.  The results of the surgery were not quite as good as we wanted or expected.  Her vision has improved to the point where she does not need glasses her vision is not as good as expected, Especially since we paid an additional $500 per eye to get the custom lasik.  We don't blame the doctor because we don't know why her vision is not as good as expected.  Overall I would recommend Kremer Eye Center.
