  • We had an amazing experience with Hunter Carpentry.  We were charged a flat fee for the service.  We were then able to shop around for the best prices / the styles we preferred for a vanity, shower, tub, etc.  Jason made recommendations as we asked.  Whatever we ordered that couldn't be shipped to our house, he would pick up.  Though it was easier to do both bathrooms at once, Jason only worked on one at a time so we would always have a place to bathe at the end of the night.  Jason has a great eye and recommended tile that went with things that we had picked out ourselves.  The communication throughout the whole process was great.  I always felt confident knowing who would be at the house or what was going on that day.  We have had both bathrooms finished for about six months and we couldn't be happier.  We have a half bathroom that we would love to have him renovate at a future date!!

  • It was super fast and done with the highest quality of professionalism.  The work was done in matter of precision, care, and attention to detail.  it was done with great expertise, knowledge, meticulous planning and structural design/understanding.  I highly recommend ProFenceDeck LLC to anyone.

  • Excellent job.  This is the second project we have used PHRG for, and both were pretty much flawless.  The project manager called a day in advance to confirm the date and the work.  The dumpster showed up when they said it would and was removed when they said it would with zero debris (and not a single nail) left anywhere. The project manager called at the end of the job to make sure the job was completed as contracted.
They happened to bring a double crew so what would have been a two day job got done in one.  It was clear these guys do this work all the time.  The spare decking they brought to replace any rotted decking doubled as protection for windows as the old roof was being removed.  Tarps were hung from the roof to the ground to allow the debris to slide down w/o hitting anything, all landscaping covered, and furniture was moved from my deck to get it out of the way of the debris (and back onto the deck when done).  Despite the fact that we have a large, complex, roof structure, it appeared as though the crew simply knew what to do and when to do it as there appeared to be very little active communication required to get the work done (which left the onsite manager looking as bored as the Maytag repairman most of the day).
Quality of the products and workmanship was also excellent to the extent I could tell from the ground.  I went for the "full monty" job, including adding an intake vent system along the lower edge of the roof, Timberline Ultra HD Lifetime architectural shingles with 50 year non-pro-rated warranty, breathable deck armor instead of the typical tar paper, and a full ice/water shield.  Also included ridge vent shingles, which my old roof (the original builder's roof) did not have which, enhances the roof's appearance.
Got lots of compliments from neighbors on how great the new roof looks.

  • Jack and his team did a great job on our recent kitchen renovation.  He kept us informed throughout the process and completed the project on budget and on schedule.  I would recommend him for any kitchen remodel, general renovation, or carpentry work.  If I had a complaint it would be for them to finish drywall sanding and other dusty activities before the cabinets and counters are in, so that it doesnt get on the new stuff.  But they did send a cleaner in at the end of the job which helped.

  • The bathroom that Tom and his team renovated for us is absolutely beautiful!

If you are looking for someone who is a master of his craft look no further. Tom is knowledgeable, honest, hardworking, responsive and personable. Several years ago Tom renovated our kitchen and my husband and I were so pleased with the way that Tom handled the project and his "can do" attitude that we said we would be willing to pay a little extra to hire Tom for everything. True to our word, many years later when we were thinking about renovating our main bathroom we contacted Tom. In addition to the bathroom renovation, Tom noticed that our family room ceiling was in need of repair. Tom had his team spackle and paint the ceiling and also paint the foyer in our home and the best part was that he didn't charge us a dime for all of the extras.

Tom Hill and is team are the absolute best!

My husband also wanted me to make the following points:

    - Tom can help with design - suggest alternatives - both functional and cost  - he has a good eye for color coordination (paint/tile/stain combinations).
    - Tom cares that you are happy with the results.
    - Detail to work is excellent - both carpentry and tile work.
    - Tom doesn't take shortcuts, takes the time to do it right the first time.
    - There are never any surprises on cost or schedule.
    - Once Tom starts your job, he works it until it is finished (no pauses while he goes off on another job).
    - Tom's crew is always neat, polite and personable.
    - Tm is happy to do all purchasing for you, or let you do the purchasing.
    - Tom will happily resolve supplier issues for you (even if you were the one who initiated the purchase).

  • Paul and his crew did an outstanding job.  They started the job on time, worked diligently, and advised us of details along the way.  They responded to all our questions and some changes in the plan.  They finished in a timely manner and made sure everything was in order.  We would recommend Paul to other customers.

  • I saw Ronnie's Home Improvements, a local contractor, on Angie's List and decided to give this company a try. As much as I enjoy the DIY on HGTV, I decided to remove existing wallpaper from my dining room. It turned out to be a real mess and I did more damage to the walls that was beyond repair! Ronnie arrived on time as scheduled. He was wearing a shirt representing his company and was very professional. He explained his thoughts and ideas on how to "fix" my mess and I was thrilled with his ideas. In one week, I had new walls, window trim and crown moldings installed and a fresh coat on paint on the walls. I was very happy with the outcome and very, very happy that these guys cleaned up after themselves every day they were here. I will recommend Ronnie's Home Improvements to everyone looking for home improvements! Thanks.

  • When I contacted him about the job, George called me back right away and came out for an estimate. I am very satisfied with the work he did, especially considering the difficulty in fixing someone elses work. During the process, if something was not done exactly how I wanted, I would let him know and he would say it was no problem.

  • None of the work is satisfactory. He is/was  unprofessional, blatantly lied  about costs, and was unethical. Was more interested in getting out the door at a set time than taking time to make sure the job was done right and that the place was left in good order.  We had specific discussion about the work to be done but he did the job the  way that he wanted to do it. Example, installing beadboard different than the beadboard I had asked him to match. He did not point out the difference or advise  me prior to the installation although I was accessible. When I called him about the mismatch, he advised me that it was "close" and he "didn't think it mattered". It did matter to me as I would not have had mismatched  beadboard installed. My marble counter was damaged when he and an untrained helper removed the old tile. He stated in front of one of the owners of the marble company where I had purchased the tile that he would pay for all damages. He has since refused to pay the company for the repair cost, was rude to the owner when they called for payment and also told her that he never agreed to pay them for the repair. He also advised the owner that he deducted the amount of the repair from my  final bill....however the repair was made after the final bill was presented to me. The marble backsplash was not professionally installed....again using a helper that is not trained or skilled in installing tile. Unfortunately I do not have the funds to have the tile work re-done and will have to live with the sloppy job for some time. His material mark-ups are also  excessive. He claims 10% and then attempts to hide the true costs of materials. He quoted $500 for the custom glass which in actuality cost $200 retail....not wholesale. No wonder he refused me the opportunity to call the glass company with my credit card. I asked him point blank what his mark up is and he had the audacity to state 10%. My calculation on the markup comes to 150%  which is considered excessive by any contractor's standards. He also charged me for "priming and painting  of installed woodwork which was not primed.....most of the woodwork was already primed when purchased. The painting job is abysmal.....certainly not the work of a professional. There is also an almost $500 overcharge discrepancy from his initial estimate to charges on the final bill.  It is one month since the chair rail was installed, and it is already  pulling away from the wall and seams are cracking......all because it was not properly installed....the opinion of two contractors who have since been to my home for estimates on doing the work correctly. My last conversation with him was unsatisfactory......due to his screaming and yelling at me. There is no point to have him return to rectify the work when he apparently is either not sufficiently skilled  to do the work properly or just more concerned to end at a pre determined time.

  • They came to my house and put plastic covers across my hardwood floors and are very cautious with my furniture. The painters finished all the work in 4days and cleaned up all the areas of my basement.
