  Quality Home Remodeling of PA LLC

  One of my girlfriends recommended this company. I talked with him a few time before committing. His crew did such a good job on my friends house and the quality of materials used were good as well. On the surface he comes across as a very meek and mild tempered man. Hindsight, the first yellow flag should have been when I asked if he wanted to see the attic because the wood cost is different depending on the size. The next time he came back and I signed the contract, then he asked to see the attic and confirmed that the plywood need is the higher cost...go figure. The second flag was there was no copy of the signed contract that he could give before he left, which was disturbing. I made him take a picture of all the pages and send them to my email account before he left my house. I made sure I was able to pull them up before I let him go. He said it would be about 2 weeks before he started. The contract was signed on 6/17 and the first 2k check was given to him. I had no reason to believe that he was going to run, but the work did not start until August because according to him, it took longer than he thought to get the permit. He was replacing my roof as well as replacing the side on the front of one side of the house. Because the job was so small, other contractors did not want to do the job unless I had more siding to replace. He and his crew did an awesome job on the roof and siding and he always was concerned about customer satisfaction, which is a good thing and he was very impressive with what seemed to integrity. I noticed a couple of days later that my doorbell was not reinstalled after the siding was replaced. I called him up and left several messages as well as sent an email and he finally responded about 2 weeks later. He gave me his word that he would replace it because his crew did not know what they did with it. After I had not heard back from him in 2 weeks, I started calling asking for status. After first he responded, then he just stopped. I decided to call the office number only to find that it had been disconnect and no longer in service. I called his cell phone and it no longer has a greeting message. I never would have know that he packed up and left had it not been for that missing doorbell. I'm hoping that there is a real good explanation for his disappearance, because this is crazy and hard to believe because he did not do shoddy work. It is definitely disappointing to say the least. I hope that Angie can get to the bottom of this situation.

  Well when I first called the company it was nice to hear pleasant people answering the phone. I was able to schedule an appointment for my services and didn't need to wait long. The estimate person came out and provided me with an on the spot estimate which was nice because I did get other estimates as well but they just emailed them and that's it. Quality Home Remodeling took the time to go over the estimate with me. I felt that was a more personal feeling and that is why I choose them. I am very happy I did. Things went well. No problems. I would use them again in the future.

  We based our selection on excellent Angie's List reviews and a knowledgeable presentation from their salesman. They called and scheduled the work in a timely fashion and showed up to start when promised. From there on, it was mostly down hill.

  Their project manager never showed up again once the project was started and the crews proceeded with little or no supervision from then on despite a complaint to Mr. Carranza. He came one day and talked to me but I never saw him again either. They did not order custom sized sky lights to match my existing which would have required only some minor molded work on the inside. They installed standard off the shelf sizes that were larger than my existing one and I now have some major work to do on the inside to facilitate these new sky lights. These sky lights were poorly installed. Neither has all of the mounting screws installed and one sky light has about a 3/4 inch gap between the gasket and the mounting structure on one corner. They screwed up on estimating and ordering the wrong roofing materials for the back porch. They originally said it could be done with shingles but it turned out that the pitch was too low so they had to do it with roll roofing and now I'm left with a porch roof that is a different color than the rest of my roofs.

  Their siding crew was worse. They went after the house like a wrecking crew which was fine for the old siding but didn't fair well for some of the other things around the house. They did not have an electrician come out and remove the exterior lighting fixtures or dismount the electric meter box but went after them with crowbars in the case of the meter box which was caved in on one side or the case of the lighting fixtures which were either damaged or had mounting parts missing. The condenser unit for our AC system has several major dents in the top of it. Their clean up was poor. We spent weeks picking up hundreds of old and new nails that kept showing up in the driveway and around the house and we're still finding debris around the house from their work.  They did send an electrician out to repair the electric meter box and provided me with a small credit for the damaged lighting fixtures and were suppose to come back to address some other areas that needed adjustment but we have not heard from them except for a call around the end of the year saying they would be out as soon as the weather improved. It's been a month now since the bad winter weather has eased and we've yet to hear anything further from them.
  
  Update: They have since come back out and done a nice job correcting the sky light installation. We are still waiting for repairs to AC comdenser and I've noticed that siding on the first floor in the back of the house is crooked. We just recieved an invoice from them where they have not indicated the credit that was promised for the damaged lighting fixtures.

  They were good. The guy who did the work did an excellent work. The only thing is that they didn’t clean up as well as I would have like. That was the only downside. We got this new product. It’s not aluminum siding, its vinyl siding and it’s very attractive and they did very nice work. I would have liked a better price. They came back and did kind of a punch list that we wanted.

It was the personability that did. Mr Romero spent a lot of time with us going over all of our options and pros and cons of different products we could use and what would work best for us.   I would highly recommend them to other people.  They were incredible.  When we had the hurricane, I had no problems, no air comes through.  My electric poles bent down.  In fact, we liked their windows so much we got gutter guards and a garage door and then got other windows.

  I have had Carranza Roofing Siding do work for me before. I had someone else install siding on my house. During a very minor wind and rain storm some of the siding came partially undone. I called the original installer and could not get anyone. ( This company was the low bidder and not rated by Angie's list ). I looked on Angies list and found Carranza. They were highly rated. I called the office and explained to the receptionist what my problem was, and it was an emergency since it was going to rain again later in the day. Minor Carranza called me back within 20 minutes and said he could be at my house in a short time. He arrived in 20 minutes and proceeded to tuck the blown back pieces in and secure them with screws. He caulked where necessary and made the repair water tight. He charged a small fee. I later contracted him to remove and replace the damaged siding with new material.    The
  cost was $1200.00. The work was great, the installers knew what they were doing and the job went well.
  
  So that is how I was introduced to Carranza Roofing and Siding. On 3/06/2012  I called Minor Carranza to come to my house          and give me an estimate on a new roof. My house was originally a small rancher. I had put on a large downstairs addition and an upstairs addition. There were three roofs, the original, the rear addition and the upstairs addition. He took measurements and said he would mail me the estimate. On 3/10/2012 the estimate came in the mail for $8135.00. I went to his office  and accepted  the  bid,
  signed the contract, and left a deposit. On Thursday 3/15/2012 the work started. There were 3 people on the crew. They worked
  from 8 AM to dark on Thursday, Friday, and finished on Saturday. It was a fairly large job. On Thursday and Saturday Minor's
  project manager came to the house to see how things were going. He had also given me his cel phone number in case I needed to talk to him. The job went very smootthly. The crew was very knowledgable. At the end of Saturday the new roofs looked spectacular.
  
  For those of you who are saying I should have gotten other estimates, My answer is you get what you pay for. Minor Carranza gives you super work, a great warranty, and He or His project manager is always only a phone call away. If you want top quality work at a
  fair price with great support CARRANZA ROOFING AND SIDING is the place to go.
