  • I would recommend him highly. He is excellent. He is warm, friendly, understanding, always in upbeat mood, always ready to answer your questions. He is professional and knowledgeable. His staff is great. All the experience I had with them was very very good. I would use him again.

  • My wife had to have holes put in her irises because the fluid wasn't that accurate. If you don't get your eye dilated for a procedure, you can actually go blind. Penn Travel Medicine caught it and actually put the holes in her irises so that she would never have that chance of going blind which was a surprise to me because I never knew it could that much of a problem. The chance was so great that she would have went blind. I like their professionalism and it's easy to make an appointment. They work their schedule around how and when you can get there, they don't just try to force you into a space and then you can't make it or something.

  • Sign in at desk and provide up to date insurance info and any personal changes in address, phone,etc.. After short wait , a staff person interviews for any concerns, current medical history and medications. Conducts some tests and eye test. Dilates pupils where wait until dilation takes place. Doctor now coducts his tests in a very competent and friendly way. Gives good news and any bad news. In my case I have a cataract forming but sees no need for action now. No sign of diabetes. If no other questions or concerns he departs. Never in a hurry with you. Provides an eyeglass prescription. Last stop is desk where payments are made.

  • I found the office to be well-run. An appointment was very easy to schedule. The introductory paperwork was available online and I was able to complete it prior to the appointment which made everything work more smoothly. Dr. Katzman was friendly and thorough, I did not feel like he was rushing at all. He offered suggestions and alternatives that would save money.
The only negative was bearing witness to a staff tiff that clearly frustrated the tech doing my initial examination.

  • He is very good. We've been going to him for 30+- years. He is very knowledgeable, does eye surgery, advises my wife on her eye condition, it's convenient, well laid out, the staff is great, and you buy your glasses or contacts, there. We see him every year for checkups. You have to wait, sometimes. I give them high ratings and will continue to use them in the future.

  • I have probably been going to him for seven years. He is excellent. I have a family with a history of glaucoma. He has a really good resume. His specialty is eye issues, not contacts or anything like that.

  • I don't wear glasses or see an eye doctor regularly, but when I developed an eye issue recently that took a turn for the worse, Dr. Andrus was able to see me the same day I called for an appointment (which was on a weekend). He performed a very thorough exam, determined the cause and treatment for the issue, and gave me a prescription for eye drops. This resolved the problem almost immediately, and I returned for a follow-up visit one week later. At that time he gave me a plan to taper off the medication, answered all my questions, and gave me a clean bill of health.

The women working at the front desk were also very friendly and thorough on both of my visits to the office, including performing the preliminary exams and taking notes on my situation. Although I do not have vision insurance, they were able to bill the visits to my medical insurance since it was considered a medical issue.

When it is time for me to wear glasses and have regular eye exams, I would not hesitate to return here. The hours and location are very convenient for me, and I was very happy with my experience here.

  • Anyone of the ophthalmologist that I have used here ahas been good. The type of exams they give are very methodical. I have been having trouble with my left eye. It was oozing fluid. He was able to identify what was causing it and gave me the solution for it. They are very thorough in their eye exams. The price is also right.

  • I have been going to Dr. Katzman for well over 20 years. He is a terrific Opthamologist. Since he moved to a new office, he even has an Optician on premises who can fill your prescription, although you can go elsewhere if you wish.

  • He spends a lot of time with his patients. He was very thorough. I went in and I had all kinds of tests done on me before he could see me. He was very honest and told me that I need to wait till they begin the treatment. He explained everything very well. He put me at ease by acknowledging my concerns. He is a wealth of knowledge.
