Hazard Remediation reviews in King Of Prussia

I have used this company for inspections on on last two house I have purchased and I could not be happier with their service. 7 years in our previous house and we had no surprises after the inspection. Bob is thorough, insightful and professional in his work. He and Donna went over and above for us when PECO was not able to turn the heat on for our inspection. He returned a few days later and finished the inspection for no additional cost. This house was a 45 minute drive from their office! This seems to be the way this company operates. They will continue to be my go-to company for these kinds of needs in the future.

I really wanted to use this company because of all the positives reviews, but was extremely disappointed by the "scheduling department". It was hard to get someone on the phone and when I did, she couldn't give me a set date for the estimation. She kept giving me dates and times and then saying, "oh wait that's already taken, hold on". It was pretty frustrating and then she gave me a date and time two weeks out from my call after I said I needed it done before settlement on my home. I was up front with my settlement date, so when she said I couldn't get an estimate for two weeks, I asked "does that give us enough time to get the project done?" And she said "no, probably not." So, I don't understand the point of my phone call, I said thank you and I'm now looking for another company to do the work.

Mark Hays came out the same afternoon that I called. He spent quite some time explaining the form of asbestos and how it would be removed and assured me that it was safe in its current form. Since my bathroom was demolished and all work had stopped, time was of the essence. The crew was working on a large job and wouldn't be able to get out for a few days, but Mark promised that if they couldn't get it done by the end of that week, he would personally come out with a crew member on Saturday to make sure it was taken care of. Colin and Ryan came out early Friday afternoon, explained how they would work, and got the job done. Mark, Colin and Ryan were all very polite, courteous and professional. They were happy to address any concerns and answer all my questions. I would highly recommend this company.

Everything went fine with the installation and there were no issues.  I have no problem with them. They explain how to do it and they way was done was quite thoughtful. They were a good outfit ad they did the work.

I initially met with Pete to get a quote on the solutions for our basement. He was very, very thorough and likable. In fact, in his opinion we didn?t need to do all the work we had done to waterproof our basement, but we choose to go above and beyond for future needs. Compared to several other companies, this was a very honest evaluation. I had a few more questions after our meeting and Pete was always responsive on his mobile or through text.

The crew?s start date was pushed back a day due to heavy snows, but they still completed the job in two days despite having to knock out the end of it on a Saturday. Donny led the crew, and did most of the heavy work. He clearly had a lot of experience and was a really nice guy. Same can be said for the rest of the crew as well ? friendly and courteous of the house. I was able to stop down whenever I liked to chat and check out the work. Donny was happy to go over where they were in the process and inform me what was upcoming.

So, how?d the work turn out? To sum it up, it turned out great. The system got it?s first test not even a week after they completed the job when the temperatures rose and the 20?-36? of snow we had began to melt. The wells took on water and drained to the system as expected. The pump is incredibly quiet and we had no idea it was running until we spotted signs outside that the pump had quietly been discharging water all along.

Now, for clarification, I gave a ?B? for Quality for just a few smaller, but notable, reasons. First, how Pete explained the cracks would be filled (chiseled out like a ?V? and filled with epoxy) was not quite as thorough as how they actually were (epoxying directly on top of the cracks). Second, it was my understanding the discharge pipe would come out of the foundation, elbow into the ground and run, buried under the mulch and lawn, to the discharge point. Instead, the pipe exits three feet from the house (an acceptable distance), but directly on to our mulch bed. This is how we discovered it was working, as the mulch was pushed into the lawn as the water was expelled. Granted, there was a significant amount of snow on the ground, as mentioned. However, Donny led me to believe that burying the pipe was never part of the plan. Miscommunication between Pete and I, or him and the crew, I?m not sure? Either way, it?s something I will fix myself in the spring. Thirdly, the original plan was to put durawall panels (a vapor barrier, essentially) over all epoxy'd cracks, though the crew covered only the ones that would be on the "finished" side of the basement someday. And lastly, the Mold Exterm spray was nearly an afterthought to the point where I felt as though I needed to constantly mention it to make sure it wasn?t forgotten. All of these things helped to add up to a perceived value on paper which convinced us to spend the extra $300 over our lowest quote to go with Basement Pros. In hindsight, the above mentioned points were perhaps not quite what I expected, so for that I dropped to a B.

Ultimately, dealing with Basement Pros was a great experience. You are dealing with an honest group of guys who know what they are doing. And it's always the same crew since they do not sub contract, which we felt was another plus. We trusted that we would be in good hands, and I?m confident we are. I'd absolutely recommend Basement Pros to anyone in need of basement waterproofing.

I called asking about a likely mold issue, with mold most likely being in our central air coils.  The basement which was the intial source of it had already been addressed.
He quickly talked himself out of buisness by recommending having an air conditioning/repair company fix it instead, as they'd probably be cheaper and more effective for this specific issue.  I reached them immediately and got an honest assessment over the phone. It matches my expectations on what was wrong, but offered a different and more likely cheaper solution.
I also made no mention of Angie's List, so it didn't seem like they'd be expecting a review.  I'm afraid I did not get a name.

They were here for a couple days and did an extensive job. We wanted something done so we would not have to be concerned in the future. After some research and speaking with this company we decided to go with them. They were very thorough with their procedueres and attention to detail. The have removed all possibilities of water coming in to the lower rooms. They were very knowledgeable and reliable. This is the type of company that gets my repeat business and full recommendation.

Nick did an excellent job for me and I highly recommend using him for your home inspection. Having some experience in looking at homes I felt very confident in everything Nick was saying and appreciated his thorough detail. He was early to the appointment, polite, and did not try to highbrow the conversation beyond my scope of understanding. We spent about 3 and 1/2 hours for the inspection and looked at everything possible (it was too cool outside for an A/C inspection, bummer). Nick was super thorough in his inspection taking plenty of digital pictures and even voice recorded notes and observations for his official report. The Pest and Radon inspection was done by a 3rd party and I was very pleased with their services as well. Thank you Nick for helping me on my first home inspection.

Pros: Polite, Punctual, Knowledgeable, and Thorough.
Cons: The final reports (Home inspection and Radon/Pest) were delivered electronically (Pro) but about a day later than what was discussed; which was not a big deal to me but my realtor was being impatient.

The Radon Rid representatives arrived at the appointed day and time to perform the work.  They were very punctual and friendly.  They spent a couple hours installing the new radon remediation system and explained how it would work.  Then, before they left, I was given a free test kit and instructed how to use it.  Overall, they were very professional and knowledgeable.  This is the second time I've used this company for services (for two different houses), and I would highly recommend them.
