House Painting reviews in Johnstown

The job was done quickly. From the time I called to accept the offer until it was completed, it was under two months wait time. And with the rainy weather we had this year, I thought that was great. Very neat work, no sloppy marks anywhere. They are reasonably priced, listen to the customer, are not pushy sales people, also respect your property and your time. I highly recommend this painting contractor. Well done! I've had an unbelievable amount of people compliment me on the color choices.

Alan presented us with a few design plans and the one we selected for the kitchn plan included knocking out a bearing wall to enlarge the space and create a more open concept. It was a little more expensive because it required a structural engineer, an architect and a kitchen designer, but it was really worth it in the long run. Once the work commenced, they were there every day without fail. The men removed the wall, ran new electrical circuits and plumbing lines, moved the duct work, floor and sub floor. When it was totally stripped out, the carpenters straightened out the old walls, reinforced the ceiling with a new header and put recessed lights and pendent lights in for the new kitchen layout. Our design called for the installation of a large range vent hood and that took 4 men to install due to the weight. We doubled the size of our kitchen and placed an island right where the wall was removed and that also needed new electrical circuits. The project went pretty smoothly with the exception of a few items associated with the age of the house, but the project manager quickly found solutions which made sense and we all agreed to after reviewing all the options. Once all the internal pieces were installed and the walls and ceilings were leveled out, they went to town putting in the drywall, cabinets and fixtures. Their designer did a wonderful job with texture and color coordination and now we have an awesome kitchen that is the focal point of our home and the center of everything we do in the house. The porch was a very large project that I had tried to tackle myself but most of it was overhead and reaching overhead for hours at a time was killing my back. I gained a new appreciation for the type of work that carpenters do and turned the remainder of the porch over to the guys at PHP. Within a week, all the old paint was scraped, the bad wood was replaced, the new steps were sent in concrete and they painted it with three coats of exterior paint. We had to upgrade the rail to meet the latest codes but it integrates seamlessly into the existing look and design. We are extremely pleased with the level of professionalism and speed that Brian and Alan showed us during this project from beginning to end. We highly recommend Premier HomePro to anyone who needs home remodeling and are currently talking to them about remodeling out old bathrooms and master bedroom. Nice job all around

    Student Painters
Beginning August 1st I tried repeatedly to reach my contact because I had not heard from him in months. He did not answer his phone and his voice mailbox was full. I eventually called the national number and asked for them to have him call me. After a week of still not hearing from him I again called the national number and asked them to have him call my cell number. This time my contact did phone but he called my home number and left a message for me to call him back. Again I tried and tried but he never answered. I had to again phone the national number but this time I asked to talk to his supervisor. I explained about the difficulty I was having reaching him and the fact that I knew school was soon to start. The supervisor promised to find out what was going on and to phone me back personally by noon the following day. He also said that they would do all they could to do my work and that if they were unable to do so they would help me find another local painter. Noon the following day came and went. I never heard back from the supervisor. My original contact did phone me late in the day (a Friday) and told me that that was the last day that they were working so they wouldn't be able to do my job. He said he would talk to National about returning my down payment.
So after waiting three months they told me their last day of work that they would not be doing my job. Now I'm stuck having already purchased the paint and not able to get another local painter (the others I trust are all booked). As a professor I chose Student Painters to help out hard working students but unfortunately I just feel burned.

I received a very prompt quote for painting concrete block on the base of my house and garage. The quote was extremely low, about half what 3 other businesses wanted, so I called them to schedule the work. They said they needed 6 weeks to schedule the work. I was willing to do that based on the extremely low price. They said they'd call a few days in advance to schedule an exact date. I was told "end of June". The last week of June came and went and I got no call. I called the main number and recieved no return call for 3 days, so I called the contact person on the quote. I reached him and he said they needed 2 more weeks. I accepted this, but told him I would have liked an update of some kind to tell me they were still even coming. Two weeks went by and I got no call. I called the answering service again and asked for an update and got no return call. Again, I called the other contact person and he said they needed 2 more weeks. Again, I told them I wanted to be kept updated, but he just paid lip service to this complaint. So 2 more weeks went by so I called the main number asking if there was a supervisor or anyone else to speak with. I reached Bob and he was very friendly on the phone saying he would put me on "his" schedule, to be done in about another week. I fell for it, and a week later I still hadn't heard from Bob or anyone to schedule the job. I called them back after the week was up to cancel. This is the only way to get them to call you. Bob called back within hours to tell me my work was never delayed. If he had looked at my original quote or seen any record of my calls (I'm sure there were no records) he would know this job was postponed three times for over a month. I would never use this company for anything. I think they are just interested in big jobs and aren't interested in providing good service to someone who isn't paying them a lot.
