  • I called the afternoon prior to the wedding (nothing like waiting until the last moment!) - Posiah answered and was able to immediately fit me in. I'm not very familiar with the Paoli area so between traffic and losing my way I was 10 minutes late. Posiah was very kind and brushed my tardiness aside. I've never had a spray tan before but she immediately put me at my ease! She explained what she was doing before she did it and told me what to expect. The process was quicker and more tolerable then I expected! I thought I would totally stink and get the stuff all over my clothes and have trouble waiting the required time before showering but I did fine. The overall tan developed immediately but it wasn't as dark as I had hoped but that's not the product's (or Posiah's) fault - I'm extremely, deathly pale. It did give me some color though and I felt really great! I think that made me glow from the inside. I thought it was a great experience - I would certainly do it again for a special occasion and highly recommend Posiah!

  • Very well - I was pleased with the work they did.  The damage was extensive on several mature trees, and I expected to see only trunks or stumps remaining on some of them.  However, these guys know how to trim a tree to encourage growth and keep it looking good - the result was I could barely tell they had been damaged so badly because the foliage was kept "full" (these are evergreens).  I initially thought they were a bit pricy, but clearly these guys are very knowledgeable about what they do and have the equipment and expertise to do it well - much better than I've seen generalist handymen with chain saws perform.

  • I used to live on the Main Line - each year I used to do my taxes myself and hated it (single person, no itemization)! I dreaded it months before I even had to do it - it was driving me crazy. I finally broke down and decided to pay someone to do my taxes for me. I asked around for recommendations from friends and paid over $400 for someone to do my taxes - and they weren't even done while I waited! It took weeks for them to be filed. So now instead of dreading my taxes I actually felt guilty about paying that much for something I thought I should be able to do myself.
     
    Then I moved to Chester County - time to find someone new to do my taxes. After turning to Angie's List I found the Phillips family. When I first arrived at their location (in Coatesville, a bit of a 70's paneling decor) I had my doubts about their ability. I say "their" because it's a family-run business. That being said - they make their customers feel like family. Even though they have a joking, laid-back atmosphere they are ALL business. They have some great hours and are very easy to work with. They did my taxes and filed them on-line in 15 minutes - while I waited. Here comes the kicker - less than $150.00. I was like "Huh? What's that for and what else do I still owe you?" Nothing - nutta - that's it! The $400 plus fee is a joke (especially for my easy taxes). They explained everything to me and EVEN found a mistake the previous guy had made!
    I won't go anywhere else! I actually look forward to having my taxes done now. They greet me by name even though I only see them once a year. It couldn't be any better - honestly. If your taxes are difficult or detailed - call them and check their prices - I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. What I don't think you'll be surprised about is the quality of their work. I normally receive my refund via direct deposit in less than 2 weeks; one time I even got it in 10 days! LOVE them!

  • Their website was hinky and not easy to use, as I had to keep hitting the arrow key and trying to hover the arrow over the accept button. I was finally able to navigate through that h*** and place the flower order. They were to be delivered ON Mother's Day. The services were NOT performed. I waited all day to see if she would call to thank us, and nothing. I called her, she checked each of her decks...NOTHING. I got online and checked; it was CANCELLED. Without a call. Without an email. NADA. Mom lost Dad in August of 2012, she lives 200 miles away from us, I wanted to let her know she was not alone, and that we were thinking of her.
    How messed up is that?! All they offered was a slight discount, and kept telling me this was and quot;far from the customer service's fault.and quot; Really? Isn't it customer service's responsibility to contact me, and let me know what happened? Okay, so the florist where mom lives and quot;ran out of those particular flowers,and quot; LET ME KNOW SO I HAVE TIME TO CHOOSE SOMETHING ELSE!!! Bunch of incompetent boobs!!! RUN!! Do NOT use this company! Run fast!!

  • Since my first experience with Phillips in 2008 I continue to use their tax preparation service. They're the greatest - I actually look forward to going! They are laid-back and friendly (not stuffy or standoff-ish). I'm in and out in a flash and yet they are very thorough. My last 2 experiences with them (2009 and 2010 tax prep) were as great as the first. I'm not easy to please so that's saying a LOT. :-)

  • I am new to the Phila area and had no idea where to turn when this unfortunate incident occurred. I had been a member of Angie's List in Tampa and changed my membership when I moved. As always Angie's List to the rescue with a top shelf recommendation. Bryan was very good about contacting me within 24 hours after I had left my message on a weekend. He provided me with his cell phone number to contact him and was very good about correcting the problem and explaining things to me. We had some issues about connecting and Bryan kept in touch with me and accommodated my schedule to complete the needed repairs on my computer. I had to take my computer to Bryan's office simply because of my scheduling conflicts but he returned the computer to my home on a Saturday. My data is restored on my PDA and I am again receiving my emails in yahoo and not in outlook. I am very grateful to Bryan for his professionalism and kind manner in which he interacted with me during an extremely stressful situatio

  • We took the computer in already knowing what the problem was, it needed a new graphics card. Thought we would have the computer back in a few days, but it did take more than a week. Not too bad, but could improve on turnaround time. We had to call to find out when computer would be ready for pick-up, only to be told it was done a few days prior, they did not feel it necessary to call & let us know. And while doing diagnostics, they inadvertently removed a downloaded program from the desktop. It's been a hassle getting it re-installed from the online website.

  • HE WAS TIMELY IN HIS RESPONSE. HE CALLED BACK THE SAME DAY. HE CAME OUT WITHIN 2 TO 3 HOURS. HE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE IS VERY PLEASANT. HE IS VERY VERY HONEST. HE WAS ABLE TO USE 2 SPEAKERS THAT I ALREADY HAD. HE MADE SURE THAT I UNDERSTOOD HOW EVERYTHING WORKS. HIS PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE. HE WAS HERE FOR ABOUT 2 TO 3 HOURS. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. I GRADE HIM AN A+! I WOULD CALL HIM BACK IN A HEARTBEAT.
