    Mark Vietmeier Remodeling & Flooring
Mark came to our house for an estimate and was rude. Didn't communicate and it was hard to get him there. He acted like he was too busy for our job and never did get back to us with an estimate. We went with another company.

    Molyneaux Tile Carpet Wood
I was called a week ahead of my scheduled installation date and informed my carpet choice was in.  Due to my schedule I couldn't push the date up much sooner.  However, I was able to schedule a few days before the actual date scheduled.  I already had a previous doctors appointment scheduled, and the woman calling from Molyneaux assured me she would inform the installers that the installation must be completed by 1 p.m.  Not long after my call ended with her Frank, the installer called to inform me of the time frame they would arrive between 7:30 and 8 a m.   He also called me forty-five minutes before their arrival to my house.  Frank and the youngman with him arrived right on schedule.
A few trips were made in and out to the truck, the next thing I knew they were cleaning up shavings and done.  Professional, and on point.  Once they were done Frank told me to have a look.  I was amazed at how great a job was done, and what a difference the carpet and installation made!!  I only wish I was having more capeting done. Molyneaux will be called when I am ready to have my kitchen and family rooms done in ceramic!
Thanks Mark for being such a great salesperson....I have no complaints!!

    The Handy Craftsman
We have wanted to remodel our circa 1965 bathroom for about a year.   This would be our first experience with a contractor.  We received a number of estimates which were all in the same ballpark.  I'm a detail person.  I like to know what I'm paying for but nobody seemed to have this detailed information.   A few guys came, looked at the job and then never even produced a quote in writing.  Nobody seemed to be able to come through with examples of their work or references when I asked.   Really? Hmm....maybe my job is too small for them to bother with me I thought.
Enter Steve's company (for whom I had no references for whatsoever!).  I somehow saw his information over the internet and that he had a face book page with actual pictures of their work!  Looked good.  Got in touch with him over the internet and he came to my house and did an estimate.  Told me he'd e-mail it to me the next day.  He got busy so he called and e-mailed me that he couldn't get it done on the day he promised.  Wow!  Someone who actually kept me informed.  This is impressive, I thought.  First estimate, was a little high for my budget.  We had discussions about my priorities and he followed through in a few days with an alternate bid.
I got the bid and did nothing.  I admit to contractor phobia.  I was still apprehensive and afraid.  Steve continued to follow up with me in a friendly but not in a way that I felt at all pressured.    I asked for references and he instantly e-mailed them.  My husband and I finally pulled the trigger on the alternate bid and decided to proceed.   The bid looked good and well......my husband and I just thought Steve was just a really nice, pleasant guy!  We also liked that he was obviously a family man who could relate to all of our household mayhem!
On our first day, Jim, who would actually work on our Project came to our house.  You know how it is when someone comes to your house to do work...........not the most comfortable thing in the world!  I was pretty apprehensive about this.  He would be at our house all day while we were at work.  I can tell you that now that our job is over, we will genuinely miss Jim.  He was so accommodating to our schedules, thoughtful and personable.  He did beautiful work at our house.    Jim is very creative and he had such great ideas with the tile that I chose.   He was very concerned that we were happy.  One  day, I came home and discovered that things were mounted just a little higher than I wanted.  A cabinet was just a little high for 5?4? me to access the top shelf.  Also, the towel rack was higher than I wanted.  My husband said I was being picky, but even the most minor details were important to me.  I was so worried about telling Jim.  (Not because I thought he'd get mad........I just didn't want to hurt his feelings!)  He took this news without even missing a beat and the next day, I came home to perfection.  I love my bathroom and want to spend all my time there!
I should also mention that during the entire time, either Steve or Rob were monitoring the job to make sure that everything was going  as I expected.  They really make you feel special even if you don?t have a big remodel.  This company made something that could have been so stressful actually fun.
In conclusion, this went so well that we are ready to move forward with our next Project!
Many thanks to Steve, Jim and Rob of the Handy Craftsman.

    Toth Carpet
Installers sent by Toth Carpet stole invaluable jewelry from our home while installing carpeting. We were in the house at the time, but were blocked from going to the 2nd floor bedroom where the jewelry was stored because they were working on stairs and landing. There was also evidence that they were also going though the bathroom cupboard and medicine chest because new band-aids were
floating in the toilet and after they left, the toilet was totally clogged and overflowed when flushed. Among the items stolen were an opal ring surrounded by small diamonds that was originally owned by my wife's grandmother and mother. She inherited the ring after they passed. This ring was appraised at a minimum of $6,000 plus the sentimental value was irreplaceable. Also taken were gold earrings and necklaces. They knew what they were doing because they only took the jewelry that had value. The owner of Toth Carpet came to the house to view the crime scene but refused any compensation for the loss, and informed me that his insurance would not cover it either. The Police came and filed a case, but apparently they need more evidence for a conviction. I filed the loss through my home insurance, but the coverage was only $1,500. Therefore, that $800 carpet cost us ~ $8,500 plus a lot grief and many tears. My wife wants to have the carpet replaced because every time she looks at it, she is reminded of her grandmother's ring.

Patete Kitchens & Bath Design Center
The story starts when you enter the Patete showrom.  The salesperson was amazing.  It took about 3 hours to pick out everything for the kitchen.  From there I went to Bridgeville Appliance to get all the replacement appliances.   Bridgeville works with Patete and made everything so easy.
I have never had workman that were so courteous and skilled.  The first 3-4 days were used to literally gut the kitchen.  When they removed the 3 layers of flooring, they showed me that there was a big hole in the subfloor.  It was immediately repaired. I had never had a dishwasher because of the way my kitchen was constructed.  They were able to close up a window and build a wall.  I now have a full size dishwasher and a large pantry in a kitchen which originally only had 4 cabinets. Everything is custom built and looks amazing. There were little extra things that they did that made me want to tell everyone how great the guys were that work for Patete.
There is a foreman for the project that schedules everything and lets you know which days the different workman would be there.  They were all prompt, did there job, and cleaned up after themselves.

    Toth Carpet
As with any time we have purchased flooring from them, the experience was positive from start to finish. When Kathy comes to measure, you know she knows what she's doing just by how she handles her tape measure! We were allowed to bring home many samples to make our decision and did not feel rushed or pressured to do so. Our situation was somewhat unusual, since we were combining carpeting and laminate in a rather unorthodox way. They were onboard with our vision and worked hard to make sure we were satisfied with the result.

    Specialty Flooring
The workers were very good. They came on time in the morning and stayed until they felt the work was progressing well for the day. They cleaned up exceptionally well and carried the garbage down to the driveway. Their work was exceptional I felt. Very professional. There were three men that came. One glitz though. The measurements were not correct and the flooring had to be reordered. Twice the company sent the wrong color. Therefore, the work was delayed by a week. Otherwise, we were very pleased with the work, workers and materials.

They also took all the old carpeting with them.  Only thing they forgot to do was put the door back on the bedroom but I didi not notice it until they had left
