    Boat N Rv Megastore
We came into Boat N RV looking to purchase repair parts for my Winne. My wife began looking at the various RV's in the lot. The salesman came out and showed her a couple with the floor plan she liked. The parts were not available at their location so I joined my wife looking at the various Motor homes. We found one we like so I asked the salesman some questions I had. I am disabled and have a hard time moving around.
Question #1 Where is the Spare tire? His Response: Under the vehicle
Question #2 Does the Engine alternator charge the house batteries when the engine running? His Response: Yes
Question #3 Has the vehicle been serviced and the engine oil changed since you got it in? His Response: Yes, the motor home has been completely checked and serviced.
Question #4 Can I take the motor home for a drive? His Response: Yes
On the drive. Vehicle preformed well.
Question #5 while on test drive. Do you know of any problems with this vehicle? No, Like I said, we went over everything when we serviced it.
When the drive was finished I started the generator, which I used to supply power the the air conditioner and gas heater. All worked well.
I tryed the power awning and room slide, both functioned. I noted the house battery indicator showed charging or replacement needed and the toilet was leaking.
The Manager, Salesman, Service manager and head mechanic inspected my Winnebago View Motor home. Upon their inspection,
We met with the manger to negotiate the deal. The manager pointed out the repairs the Winnebago would need and estimated the costs to repair and adjusted my motor home value down. We agreed on the final price and the loan Rate of 3.99%.
When the loan approval came back the rate was 6.99%. The manager said it was because our credit score was 715 and it needed to be 720 for the best rate. I questioned the score but did not have a means of checking it at that time. Upon returning home I found our score to be a minimum of 725 with all the credit bureaus.
We purchased the unit and moved it to next to our old RV to transfer our belongings. The mechanics changed the toilet and said they would change the battery in the morning and went home for the night. When they left I noticed a awning which covers the slide out when it is out was missing.
The next morning the mechanic change the battery. I asked him to check the spare tire for me and where the awning cover was?
His Response: There is no spare tire under the vehicle and to see the service manager about the awning which covers the slide
I went to see the service manager who said to see the store manager. I told the store manager the spare tire was missing and so was the awning over the slide out. His response: How do I know that an awning is supposed to be over the slide out. A cover only keeps debris off the top and is not necessary. If their isn't a spare tire, than it does not have one. You bought a used RV. What do you expect?.
I said: It is a 2013 with 4300 miles on it. I was told it had a spare under the vehicle. As for the awning your company sold this Motor home originally, you know dam well it had an awning over the slide out, and the brackets are still there.
Manager Response: That is your problem not ours, you signed the papers. It is yours now.
I said: I have not even left the parking lot yet. Are you kidding me?
Managers Response: You own it it is yours, that is what happens when you buy a used motor home. With that, I said: I will put this experience all over the Internet. I walked out.
That night we stopped in South Carolina a a truck stop. Around four in the morning I woke up freezing, the battery was dead.
I started the motor home an drove to a restaurant for breakfast, checked the battery it was still dead. The alternator of the engine did not charge the battery at all. At 8 am I called Boat and RV and spoke to my salesman. I told them the battery was dead.
Salesman Response: Let me put you on hold and I will check with the service department. After 20 minutes on hold I hung up. The next day the salesman called to ask me how things were going. I said: The battery is dead and by the way the oil change warning light just come on. That means this motor home oil was not changed.
Salesman Response: I will get back to you on that battery problem. He hung up. I have tried contacting this company since and have been put to voice mail each time. They will not return my calls.
I have since replaced the battery and had an additional battery added in parallel. I also have had the wiring done so the engine alternator charges the house batteries This was done at my expense by another company.

.I had been shopping for A Carolina skiff for 3 months. I had  prices from other companies and had walked out when hidden fees were added after the deal was made.   I contacted the Stroud & Sons Marine by phone explained what I wanted and requested a quote. Mr Stroud took my name and number and got back to me in a couple of hours. He gave me an overall price and sent me an e-mail with a break down of each item I requested with installation included. I called him back to verify the final price as "out the door". I told him we had a deal printed out the e-mil and sent a check for $1000 down payment. I called 3 days later to verify he received the check and to ask him how we could proceed so I could use the boat when I came down to pick it up. He was excellent to deal with, He sent me the information so I could register the boat in Pennsylvania. I made arrangements to come down and pick up my purchase.  I decided to add some items to the boat, Swim platform, Anchor roller, anchor tie off and brakes and spare tire to the trailer. The additional items were added and the prices were what it would have cost me if I had purchased them on Amazon. He installed them without an installation charge !
I drove down to pickup and pay for my purchase. When I got there everything was ready. He reviewed the operation of the equipment with me and proceeded to attach the boat and trailer to my RV. I had a different electrical attachment on my RV. No problem, he had the adapters and connected it, additional cost $9.00. It would have cost me more at NAPA.. We went into his office and completed the paper work. They registered my boat and motor for warranty and gave me an additional 2 years on the motor. Suzuki had just added the extended warranty.I have the extended warranty in writing from the manufacturer. The final cost was as quoted without hidden charges.
I recommend this compay to any one I know who is interested in purchasing a boat or for that matter any marine equipment.
I have called with questions on maintenance since my purchase and they have answered my questions without hesitation.  Last week I needed a couple of bolts for my motor( I lost them) I called Mr Stroud and he sent them out in the mail. I sent him a check for the parts when I received the parts.
It is nice to be treated well even after the purchase has been completed for 3 years
This is the company to purchase your dream boat from.
