    Assurance Appliance Repair
Was able to get next day appointment. They came very early (7AM), diagnosed and fixed my dish washer and out by 7:50AM. I was pretty impressed. Once again, they were they were on time, neat, and accurate. Best part: I now have a working dish washer again. Second Best part: I did not have to be late for work. I have used them twice and have been happy both times.

In the past, I had to take the whole day off to wait for a contractor to show up. Not with these guys. They are very flexible and because they are based in Lansdale and I live in Harleysville, I was able to schedule a late day appointment so they came after work, around 4:30PM. They were prompt, patient with my questions, very professional and very neat. It was evident they have a great deal of experience and expertise. The owner, Alex and a trainee serviced our stove. Luckily, they had the part in their van inventory, so were able to replace it on the spot. They were done in 45 minutes. I felt the price was fair too. Will definitely use them again!

    Towamencin Appliance Repair
They were happy to take an appointment for that afternoon and a credit card for deposit. They waited all day, until right before the appointment to call me and try to reschedule for three days later. Said that they never had a technician available for the call. I asked for manager or supervisor and was told there was no one on site. So they took an appointment for a call that they couldn't make. By the time I received call from them it was too late to get someone else to come out that day. While they advertise 24/7 emergency service it is just a scam.

The service technician arrived well within the designated "window" and wasted no time figuring out the source of the problem.  Not only did he fix it and explain what he did and why, he also offered up quite a bit of useful information regarding baking, ovens in general, and my elderly (1993) gas model in particular.  Even though this company sells appliances, he never once hinted that I should buy a new stove. I feel that I got more than my money's worth and highly recommend this company for both repairs and replacements. I've bought both a clothes washer and dishwasher from them and the transactions were highly satisfactory.  Prices were as good as any big box store and the delivery was prompt and hassle-free.

It went as planned. The service guy came out on 12/2/15 and after a few minutes of testing, knew it was a faulty water valve to the ice maker. Unfortunately, he didn't have a spare part.  He came back on 12/11/15 and installed the part. I mentioned to them in the beginning that I have a commitment with our local school bus company and had to be back at 2 pm. On the first visit, he left around 10 am. The second visit, he was there a little after 9 am and left around 10:00. So it was obvious they were concerned about my schedule too. The repair person was very knowledgeable and friendly and performed the work in a professional manor.. I would definitely use them again.

    Dave's Appliance Repair & Parts

Although the number of visits and the cost of parts seems to imply a degree of opportunistic behavior, this company deserves consideration because they stuck with us until the machine was repaired and working to our satisfaction.  Always thorough in their explanation in what they were doing and explaining our options along the way.  They acted professionally at all times.  After the initial visit, we paid no additional labor charges and they absorbed the cost of some parts that were installed in an attempt to fix the problem at a lesser expense.  We wanted to repair this machine rather than replace it because it is of a quality not available in the marketplace today.   The machine now runs quieter than it did when it was new.  We would use this company in the future.

Best aspect about this type of visit is I learn how to do this for the future.  How to take the machine a part and fix down the road. Bad aspect is pricing.  First, $98 to look at the machine. Must be an industry standard as other two companies I called had the same.  At that price who would say no, other than needing to buy a new machine.  Second, I had the vent cleaned.  A brush was attached to a drill and used from the outside to loosen up the lint.  Then a leaf blower was attached to the tube from inside the house.  Took 15 or so minutes, nothing too labor intensive or high tech, that cost $129!!  Third, the $98 fee is wavered when worked is performed.  Should have had work performed defined as nothing was found with the thumping noise, however the vent was found to "need cleaning" so I would think the $98 fee would be applied to that but wasn't.
The 2 technicians and customer service rep. were very nice and professional

    A & B Appliance
The ice maker in our 2 yo LG refrigerator stopped working.  Sears, where
we bought it, couldn't provide service.  I looked in the yellow pages
and found one provider who had LG listed: A & A Appliance
    1-877-755-7255.  The man who answered said "A & B Appliance" &
scheduled an appointment for the next day.
A man named Ed arrived on
time in a personal sedan, and had no "company" ID like a shirt or
jacket.  Looked at the ice maker, pushed the test button, asked me a few
questions (water source, filtration, softener?), and took a photo of
the info plate inside the unit.
Said the "module had burnt out" and
that "the coil will also have to be replaced "to match".  Said "it's
going to be expensive" and arrived at $425.  I paid the $83.74 fee and
said I'd think about the repair.  The service fee would be credited
toward the repair if I decided to proceed.  The heading on the receipt I received is "Appliance Product Service" with the phone # crossed out.  This took all of 15 minutes.
After Ed left, I was VERY suspicious of
the need to replace a refrigeration coil, since the refrigerator was cooling well.  I
got online and found that a new complete ice maker unit was $69 from
Sears.  I ordered it and my husband installed it himself in about 20 minutes.  Everything
    is working just fine now.
My husband called the local # written on the receipt by Ed (215-870-1870) and asked to discuss their estimate (which we felt
was grossly "padded" with unnecessary service).  He was told that someone would call him back in 30 minutes.  No one ever called.

    CJ Miller Vacuum Center, Inc.
They were so good. They put the central vac in my house and you would have never known they were there. They put it in and there was not a speck of dirt. They cleaned up so well. They had a great attitude. I would give them an A+.
