AServiceman was on time, polite, quick and efficient. However, it cost $89 to have him pull into my driveway. I told him that I Googled the problem and knew what needed to be done. He looked up the model number, confirmed what I told him, went out to his truck, got the part, opened the box, pulled the old one and inserted the new, turned machine on to make sure it was working properly - this "labor" cost me another $96. Total labor was $156.88, total parts was $82.39. This is with a 20% off coupon. He was at my house about or under 30 minutes and my total bill was $239.27. I called Sears to question the $96 charge and was told that it was correct. Then I told Sears that I would never call them again because I think this is taking advantage of the consumer.

AWhen I called for an appointment I left a voicemail with my contact info. Paul called me the same day and asked quite a few questions concerning my problem with my dryer. He was upfront with the cost of the service call and the type of payments he would accept. He called before coming over (as promised). He was very professional, quickly solved the problem and cleaned up after he was done. The service call was a bit pricey but he backed it up with his service. It turned out I needed coils which were replaced right away.

AMILLER'S MOWER REPAIRI called the number on his card. He returned my call and told me he would call me the evening before. A few days later, he called and said he could come the next day. He arrived on time with his mobile unit and went right to work. Explained everything to me and even showed me the proper way to start the snowblower and mowers. Showed me exactly what was wrong, i.e., bent blade, wrong spark plug, broken auger. When he left, everything was clean and in fine working order. Really nice guy and being single, very convenient to have him come right to the home. Even my dogs liked him. Little more expensive because he comes to you, but if you have multiple items to repair, it works out.- Marcella V.

CEvergreen AGCub Cadet/MTD used a plastic bayonet oil plug that failed during use causing the need for service. Evergreen AG estimated the time needed about 2-3 weeks and about $275. They kept the mower 6 weeks and always had some excuse as to when it would be ready. The additional cost was due to additional unknown damage caused by the poorly designed/manufactured oil cap. The mower seems to be running very well.- Donald M.
