AGILROY NORTHEAST INC.Excellent Communication, top notch Professionalism, and Quality Work. This job involved a 1948 Log Home in the Poconos which required a complete exterior basement stairwell replacement as well as the complete replacement of a basement wall that was bowing into the basement. We have had difficulty finding an honest and professional company who performs A-1 Quality Work in our area. In fact, we have had to hire companies from Phila. and NJ in the past. We are so happy that we found Gilroy Northeast located in Tannersville, PA! We will be using them again in the Spring! It is a family run business where they do their own work-no subcontractors and they handled absolutely everything from permits/inspections, engineers (required with our specific job) through job completion. Communication was excellent!!! They kept us posted via phone, email and photos every step of the way as we were unable to be at the log home during the time Gilroy was taking care of the major repairs. John and Brian began and finished on-time and on Budget. Lois not only kept us updated in a timely fashion but immediately answered any questions we had. She proved to be extremely organized, detailed and professional which we greatly appreciated! And, what a secure feeling -to have - knowing that your home has had QUALITY work. What a phenomenal experience we had working with Gilroy Northeast. As already stated, we will be using them again in the Spring (2019). Don’t hesitate to call them and set up an appointment! AAble Hands IncAmazing service and very nice guys. Matched the cedar shake to the opposite side of my house perfectly. Worked through the light rain we got and the solar eclipse! I hired an exterior house painter (not affiliated with Eric and Able Hands in any way) who gouged me on the price and had me thinking that he would replace the shingles before he started painting. That was not so. In order for him to proceed and finish the job I needed the cedar shake replaced ASAP. Eric and his crew saved the day for sure. They were quick to come and give me an estimate (which was very reasonable in comparison to two other estimates I received) and were very communicative if they couldn't make it when the rain pushed their schedule back by a few days. They got the work done in a timely fashion and did a fantastic job that I'm sure will last a long time. I only wish I had known about them sooner. Thanks again!!- Shelby F.

Ajunior chopka constructionUpon removal of the siding, severe water damage was found. Andy had to rebuild the entire back portion of the house, (Two Story) including a new foundation. Andy helped us step-by-step with this unforeseen disaster. With his knowledge and work, we were assured all will be fine. As work went on, we decided to add more work to his plate, including new interior doors, remodeled bathrooms, paint kitchen walls, cabinets and trim, installed new hardware, new drywall, among other jobs. We are very please with Andy and his crew's work ! They are very professional, knowledgable, polite, and walked us through our entire construction. Also, accommodated us with all of our add-on's. Good pricing. I would recommend this contractor, and will be using him in the near future again !- John M.

AFather and Son ConstructionThe work performed is first class. They have a detailed contact for each job. If any issues are found as the work progresses, another contract will be made for the additional work. In addition they have a great eye for color combinations, how to improve the layout of any room for maximum efficiency. They designed the renovation of our kitchen, dining room and lounge area and it is amazing. Everyone who has seen the transformation agrees, first class work! And they stand behind their work! AWe needed to have the attic insulated the way it should have been done originally so we called on Dr Energy Saver because it was a division of Burke Construction. This was the fourth job we have had done by Burke including having a total bathroom makeover, a complete remodeling of a kitchen/dining room, window replacement (at the same time as the kitchen/dining room, and the construction-from-scratch of new basement stairs. We knew going in that the job would cost more than other companies might charge, but we were also confident that the work would be outstanding. The work included sealing any gaps where air can exit up through the ceiling into the attic, adding insulation and adding a floor, and as the final touch, creating an insulated and sealed box to be placed over the pull-down attic stairs, one of the biggest uninsulated and leaky parts of the ceiling. Our house has some oddities of construction that the crew had to be creative in solving, and the team did so not only coming up with I-never-thought-of-that solutions but without the extra nickel and dimeing another company might do, and they were very conscientious about not just getting it right, but making it excellent, including returning promptly to correct the couple of the usual unforseeable eventualities. The crew was also very careful to minimize the mess and to clean up afterwards. We will have to wait until next winter to quantify savings in our electric bill, but this cold spring has given us a taste of what is to come with the elimination of the chilly spots that existed before the work was done. Would we have Burke Construction in our home again? Without a doubt.

ABogdan has done work for us during the last several years, from installing an attic fan, a bathroom fan and vent, roof repair, vinyl siding repair, interior painting, to most recently installing a beam over a covered deck to level a sagging roof. Bogdan has consistently done excellent work, always seeking to do the best job that can be done. He is also patient and very polite. My elderly mother with whom I live also thinks very highly of him. In addition to the work that he has already done for his, we have talked with him of doing additional work for us.

DWe asked our realtor for a “pit bull” inspector and she recommended this company. We were present with the inspector and asked a lot of questions and listened intently to his concerns and observations. We left feeling like we had some issues but nothing major. Well, after settlement it became clear that the inspector missed a huge carpenter ant infestation that damaged the entire back of the house including walls and beams. He missed leaking windows and pipes that had cause mold and mildew damage in two separate areas of the house. He missed several areas of roof damage and a decaying rotting exterior chime to structure. When I pointed to the ceiling and said is that brown spot a leak he said no, that’s just a missed paint spot! We made settlement after what we thought was a good inspection report. It turns out that we had to spend tens of thousands of dollars on critical repairs that the inspector missed or assured us were minor. The roof and window leaks were severe. The carpenter ant infestation was critical. Needless to say we were very angry and extremely disappointed that these things got missed and we got misled. We would not recommend this inspector to others.
