    Moving Ahead Services - Pittsburgh
Moving ahead did a phenomenal job! The movers called me day of with an exact time estimate and were quick to load the truck, even with the heat of the summer. They covered everything with tarps and did a great job ensuring my items would not be broken. Would hire again if service is needed.

WONDERFULLY! The gentlemen (Marshall, Chris and James) were always very courteous and most helpful. They worked together as one STRONG unified unit - what a team! (You could tell they liked working together.) There were no minutes wasted. They were on the go the entire time. They were very good at protecting and safely moving larger pieces of furniture AND totally amazing at packing up the moving truck! I was super impressed by the whole experience!

Great! Christine and her staff were prompt, actually stopping in at the end of the sale to see how much was left and getting ready to stage the next day. She arranged for donations and delivery of dumpster. They packed small items, trashed useless items and moved all the furniture to the garage for donation. They supervised loading the truck for the charity, swept and cleaned up the house. She was very thoughtful, in packing keeping aside items with sentimental value. Honestly we did not have the manpower to do this work. I do not know how we would have done it. Well worth the money.

Absolutely terrible. Truck pulled into driveway on loading day with heavy leak of coolant and oil mixture pouring on driveway. Truck had a number of condition issues that left me wondering why it was allowed to be in service. No mattress bags were provided. No mirror boxes were provided. Crew failed to use padding on several pieces of furniture, leading to significant damage to many pieces. One entertainment cabinet was destroyed. Leg pulled from kitchen table base. Missing items. Crew did not bring food or beverages or tools. Company had to send crew with pressure washer to clean stains on concrete driveway at loading point.

    Two Men And A Truck
After one week of exchanging voice mail messages, we finally gave up on trying to get an estimate for our move.  The office claimed they could not set appointments for the reps - they made their own and I would have to actually speak with the rep to get scheduled.  Called a competitor and had an appointment set within ten minutes.

    South Hills Movers Inc
We used South Hills Movers in October  2015 to move my in-laws from their home to a retirement community.  When they needed to move again just 6 months later, we didn't even bother to get other quotes, we just called South Hills.  We had the same estimator, Dave, so he was able to use the information from the first move as a starting point.  Dave went through everything in the apartment and made sure he had a good understanding of what needed to be moved to each location.  This second move was unplanned and needed to happen as soon as possible.  He was able to fit us into his schedule for the estimate and also to get us scheduled for our desired move day, which was only 4 days away.

When the team, led by Aaron, arrived right on time, we discovered that the elevator that had been identified for our move was out of service.  So we ended up having to share the only remaining elevator with the residents of the building.  This significantly slowed down the team.  But the didn't complain and worked quickly and efficiently to make the best of things.  They had everything queued up at the elevator so they were ready when it was available.  Unloading at the various locations was quick and easy.  Everything was delivered to the correct location and they placed everything exactly where we wanted it.

Even after losing time with the elevator issue, they still finished up a little early and the total cost came in a little under the estimate.  We will definitely use South Hills next time anyone in the family needs to move.

    Culmer Moving & Labor Solutions
The purchase I made was for 3 hours which I thought was plenty for a 1-bedroom apartment sparsely furnished. They were an hour late arriving on the agreed time, took 7 hours to finish the job. I paid $400 cash on top of the $480 purchase. They took their time slowly packing and wrapping everything for "protection". Well, they broke one table and scratched up another pretty badly. On the broken table that's unfixable, JC agreed to file an insurance claim. It took 2 months of follow up and several phone calls and e-mails for him to agree to a $120 claim settlement. 3 months later, the claim is still unpaid and he stopped responding to e-mails. I filed a complaint on BBB only to find other complaints have filed against this company and BBB has an alert on their website that they have trouble getting in contact with this company... they changed their name, phone number, but still operating the same type of business... still unprofessional and untrustworthy, just under a different name.

    Movin' Murdy
Move went very well with zero hiccups or issues.  Joe the owner did a free in home visit and estimate as well as explained his services prior to any commitment, he also followed up with a detailed quote and when we requested some adjustments for dates and other items he was willing to work with us.  His crew showed up 15 minutes ahead of schedule at the pickup and delivery location and they were hard working and very professional.  I have been moved by corporate movers in the past and can tell you this company was heads and tales above the past movers I experienced.  They also sent employees (not rent a helper labor) to pack and unpack me and these guys have obviously worked together from some time as they knew what needed done and did it efficiently and professionally.
The process of decision making from Pods to Movers too who can you trust and who is really moving you versus brokering your move, can all be a bit overwhelming when deciding on a mover.  Joe at Movin Murdy always gave us the feeling we were dealing with a professional company and that our belongings would be well packed , transported and cared for.  I would strongly recommend using Movin Murdy

    Steel City Movers LLC
The two gentelman from Steel City movers, Drew and Eric, showed up promptly and completed the move all in 6 hours.  They were extremely professional, friendly and careful with all of our belongings as well as taking great care of the walls and floors (making sure not to damage anything).  They were amazing!  I have never written a review on any service we have ever been provided but these guys were wonderful.  I hope we never have to move again but if we do, no doubt in my mind that I would call Steel City Movers.
    Thank you Steel City Movers!!!
