    Blevins Expert Tree Care
Blevins called me the morning they were planning to remove the trees (which we had discussed the week before), and when I got home from work there was nothing left but the stumps (which we did not contract to remove). I was really amazed by how thorough the debris removal was; I couldn't find a branch or a twig from their work. And despite the muddy, early spring conditions, they left very little evidence of vehicle tracks. We could not be happier with their service. Blevins has been very, very busy due to the wind storms last fall and this spring, and the many, many rainy days in which they could not work. It was several months betwixt contract and tree removal. Thus, my slightly depressed "promptness" rating of 'only good.' Nevertheless, we are very happy and would definitely hire again.

He does everything right. He's great! Hecomeswhenhe's supposed tocome. Hedoesn'tgivemeonebillattheendofthe year ortheendofthe season. Hegivesmeabillonce a week andhedoesn't have to do it, givemeabill. Ipayhim. Idon't need a receipt. I just thinkhe's that trustworthy. I just pay him. I pay him to cut it every week; that's the best way I want to do it. The whole point is,itshould be up to the customer howtheywanna paybutitnever is ifthey're a big business. A big business would tell me, oh you're not gonna get a bill until we do our monthly billing or something like that. That's not the way I want it. I didn't wanna be billed monthly; I wanted to be billed weekly, and not even billed. I want to pay my bill. My billing method is to be paid for your services. That way it doesn't accumulate and then all of a sudden I have a $500 bill. Hejust is so wonderful. He gets paid cash every time he does it. He's an excellent grass cutter. He'lltrimmybushes and sometimeshe'lltrimmyivy at no extra charge and then anything else is extra charge, like mulching, but he didn't do that. Every so often he'll help me out, just trimming a branch. There was a branch that was in the way of the post office box and the truck couldn't get close enough to our mailbox and he cut it down for me. Heis the nicest person I have ever dealt with, withmylawn. He's a very nice guy. He's an A on everything.

    Bill Davis Landscaping LLC
Bill and his team arrived on time and as stated, he was on site during the entire project. Bill and his team were extremely professional and polite. After they finished the patio, they ensured the area was clean, neat and even re-seeded where needed. I would HIGHLY recommend Bill Davis Landscaping LLC to anyone reading this review that is considering landscaping, hardscaping or in need of any services provided by Bill's company!! I tried to upload a picture but was unsuccessful but take my word, AWESOME JOB!!

    Sullivan Nursery & Landscaping
    1. The partial new lawn was planted and went well.
    2. The complete new lawn was planted and did not go well for the following reasons.
    a. The lawn did not slope gently from the house toward the back of the lawn and creek as we were promised.
    b. Not enough topsoil was used, which prevented too much of the new seed from growing like it was supposed to.
    c. The topsoil wasn't appropriately screened, which was indicated by the two-inch rocks I kept pulling out of the yard.
    d. Not enough follow-up care took place by the company; I ended up doing a lot of seeding and putting down topsoil on my own that I thought the company should have done. When I requested the company either do so or refund one-third of my money to make up for the time, effort, and expense that I believe I was putting into my yard the company stopped communicating with me.
    e. Keep in mind that this company is no longer working as Sullivan Nursery and Landscaping; it is now a franchise of US Lawns, and probably for good reason.
    f. Management does not follow through with what it says it will do. I took off work for both the lawn portion and tree portion and was glad I did. The person with whom I set up the work said she would be here for the work but then wasn't here for the seeding. If I hadn't been here, they were going to just fill in the lesser grassy areas with soil and seed instead of completely taking out the old lawn and putting in a completely new lawn as agreed upon and how the job had been priced.
    g. The foreman on the job understood this, fortunately, and he made sure the entire old lawn was removed. Unfortunately, this still didn't prevent them from not using as much topsoil as they should have. At one point, I had a small pond in my yard. All they did was come in and throw more soil and seed down. I again had to go through all the same steps of care. They never checked to make sure everything was okay.
    h. At one point the manager, with the lawn care guy from a lawn care company did come and look at the lawn with me. He just said that all the weeds were supposed to be there. I disagreed as the seed was supposed to be 99% weed free.
    i. One of the issues with trying to get out of completely removing the entire yard was that they didn't have a piece of equipment that they should have. I said that wasn't my fault. They came back the next day after finding and renting the piece of equipment. Also, they didn't realize that an area in the back yard where a swimming pool had been had plastic under the sand to prevent weeds from coming through. This seemed to be an issue that they tried to blame on me. Again, I said it wasn't my fault, that I had hired them as the expert. If this was going to be a problem it was up to them to tell me.
    3. We had planned to plant the trees at the same time. This was fine until I took a good look at the trees and saw that one was not healthy, and I would not accept it. Again, I was glad I stayed home.
    a. When a new tree was delivered, I took off work to be here for it to be planted. The tree that was almost planted was not the correct one. It was not even the same leaf type: simple vs compound.
    b. Thus began the wait to get the final tree planted.
    c. Finally, a month later, we filled the hole with a tree.
    d. A year later, I am hoping that tree gets leaves.
    4. A subcontractor removed the three trees with no difficulty.
    5. The grade is a C, which is an average of an F for management and administration and an A for the team that did the actual work on the lawn here at my home.
    6. I contacted the Florida US Lawns home office, which, with Alex Cistone of Sullivan Nursery, worked with me to resolve the issues I detailed here. As a result of our discussions, I have upgraded my overall rating to a B due to everything being satisfactorily resolved.

    Beyond All Boundaries LLC
They were excellent, very professional. They charged me $120.00 per hour. They were upfront with me. They told me they did not know how long they were going to be here, because it depends on if they could find the metal boundary markers. They were here for over two hours. He did tell us that he would email us a boundary map; we've never received that though. But we were satisfied with them. The price was fine; it was less than what I thought it would be.

        e. Keep in mind that this company just recently started working asa franchise of US Lawns, and probably for good reason; it had been working as Sullivan Nursery and Landscaping. In fact, its primary web site, still makes it look like it is still Sullivan Nursery and Landscaping instead of US Lawns. Something is really off about this company.

    TruGreen Lawn Care - 5033
We started using TruGreen after having a completely new lawn planted in May 2013 through a referral from the landscaping company. Prior to this, we have not had good luck at all with lawn treatment companies, and I thought this going to be much the same. We were originally referred to the TruGreen commercial side of the house, which, rightfully so, referred us to the residential side of the house; however, the residential side of the house really didn't seem to think we existed. Because the only phone number I had was for the commercial office, that's what I called. Finally, that manager came out and looked at the lawn and realized that no one from the residential office was treating the lawn. He had his commercial technicians treat the lawn. That manager has stayed on top of it ever since. I have worked directly with him. This year, I have started the tree service. He is still making sure that everything goes smoothly. I am extremely grateful to Mike McCullar. He has been very patient with me and has taught me a lot about my lawn. He understand that I just want it to look nice. He also understands that we really need TruGreen to call ahead due to having four dogs that we can't have running around on the grass immediately after the lawn is treated. Mike has worked hard to get the technicians to call ahead as well. After a slow start, I have been pleased with TruGreen's results, but, mostly, I have been very pleased with Mike's great customer service.

    Weed Man - Carlisle PA
We hired Weed Man in 2012. We were not happy with the service in any way primarily due to the technician lying to us about being in an accident or having to go to be with his wife who was in the hospital to get out of keeping appointments when we sometimes took leave from work to be available. This made the service so sporadic that the service didn't do much good for the lawn. By the time all was said and done, we weren't even sure exactly what was done to the yard, so I'm guessing on the overall price. At one point, we wanted to stop in at the office to discuss what was going on, but this even seemed to be an issue that Weed Man wanted to avoid. Management said it was going to put more time into the business, but we had enough. One thing we had mentioned before we started was that we had gotten huge mushrooms with our previous lawn treatment company. Weed Man promised we wouldn't get mushrooms (we have dogs and don't wan them eating the mushrooms). We got mushrooms, and Weed Man didn't seem to remember its promise. We put 3/1/13 as the last contact due to receiving a bill, but management did tell us it was sent in error when we contacted them.
