Five Star Painting of the Philadelphia Suburbs
In brief, the team worked with me as the scope of the project narrowed. The estimate was realistic and accurate. The project manager came to the property ahead of time to evaluate the various areas to be repaired and painted. He was very attentive and asked for clarity. The painters were professional and completed the job in the estimated time. This team also cleaned and re-stained the patio deck. It rained after the deck was cleaned and prepared for stain. But they came back days later once the surface was dry to apply the stain to the surface. It looks beautiful. Thank you, Jack, Jim K., Walfer and Jose.

    HOW Restoration and Construction
This Jason Hartley from HOW Construction called me, came over and said to me, I checked everything that was needed to be done, now the only thing is, we're talking about four to six weeks. I went four to six weeks? Really? I have to wait that long? He said, yes! unfortunately, I'm busy. I went, alright! I guess, if I have no other choice, I'm not happy about it, but I guess I have to wait. A few days later, he called me, he said to me, Theresa, I can have two of my men are free, they could come and do the work for you, I said, oh Jason! That's wonderful! I was so happy. The next day or the day before I forget, not two came, one man came, and he did a terrible job. It looked like a bunch of 10-year-old's did the job, it was so bad. My husband did take pictures, and we did not pay him, he took care of my money when he started, and the rest of the day when the job was over, if I was satisfied, of course I wasn't satisfied, you had to see the job. The borders at the bottom, were just looked like he had a knife and just cut it, and put it up against the wall. You have no idea, how he left the condition of my house, and it was him, for four days, it was only one man, and I kept saying, how could one man be doing all of these? I should have a painter, I should have like you know I should have somebody that will do my hardwood floors, all my hardwood floors in my powder room had to be redone. You should have seen the way that he put the hardwood floors in. I'm telling you, two teenagers, two ten-year-old's, probably would have get a better job than what this man did. So anyway, of course I called, and I said, Jason I'm not happy at all, you should see it! You should see what he did to me! He said, well, we'll come and fix it, he'll come back, I said, I don't want him to come back! Because it's obvious, this man is not qualified to do the work, I want somebody that's going to come back, a man that does know how to put hardwood floors and knows how to put borders in, I don't want the same guy to come back. So he was giving me a very hard time, then he said to me, you know what, and this is were his exact words, you can take the rest of your money and shove it! And he hung up on me. Me and my husband sent everything over to the Better Business Bureau, and they looked into it, said that I definitely was in the right, you know and I don't know what goes on the mark against them, or something, I really don't know how it works, but anyway, that's all I wanted. I did not want fight, I did not get a lawyer because it wasn't that kind of money that he took, it was like $1200.00 or something, and it wasn't about the money at this point, it was about that, I wanted to make people aware out there that they don't get to have what we went through, it was a horrible thing. This happened before the 4th of July, and it was not resolved, every span of time, everything was done in total, it was over Labor day. So it was my whole summer dealing with this, it was horrible, to say the least. So I did not want anybody else to go through what we went through, and that's why I made a complaint about HOW's Construction. That's why I'm telling you as well, they are horrible to deal with, they do a horrible job, and I just don't want anybody else to face what we went through with that company.

He did a wonderful job, I was very happy.  He said, the drywall guy will come, then the painter will come, then the guy's going to have to do the hardwood floors, like he had somebody specific for every job, and they did a wonderful job. They did a wonderful job, very professional.

    CertaPro Painters of Central Bucks
Initially l I had some issue with the quality of the job. I contacted the owner Jim Welsh and he came right away and was eager to assure the job would be re-done to my satisfaction. The new crew arrived shortly and the job is spectacular. This is why I always choose Certa-Pro. They guarantee the customer is happy. I would use this crew again.

    Albert's Painting
Excellent! This was the third job for me that Al and his team have performed in the last year. He is unfailingly professional, communicates clearly and politely. He has been helpful in advice on paint and colors. Three members of his team have worked in our home (Desmond, Eric, and Rick) - all are polite, clean, professional and impeccable in their work. Al is our go-to painter.

Cliff did an amazing job! Even worked on Saturday and Sunday to get the job done. He arrived early and even stayed late. He's the best. Trust worthy and honest. We used Cliff before to paint a built-in entertainment center that we had custom built in our basement and he did a fantastic job on that as well. We cannot recommend him enough. I tell all my friends who need a painter, Cliff is the guy to go to. We are having him back out to paint the exterior of our home as well.

It was okay. They didn't do as instructed. When they initially came out, I told them that I wanted the master completed. They did everything but the master. They called me and told me that they needed more hours to do the master. I told them that they could leave and I hired another painter to come in and finish the master. I called them to do the ceilings. They did the other two rooms and then called expecting more to be paid to finish the master. They were instructed to do the master. They started in the master but for some reason, they waited to do the master when they finished. They did a good job. I wasn't there.

    Albert's Painting
The entire experience of working with Al and his team has been phenomenal.  I contacted Albert's Painting prior to Christmas for an estimate to complete a large interior home painting project.  I was looking for pricing but also had a short time line in mind for completing the project should I find the right person or company to hire.  Al responded to my request almost immediately.  He was extremely polite and courteous from day one.  His knowledge of the products and work required exceeded my expectations and he stood apart from the other vendors I had contacted for the same work.  It was very clear from the beginning that I had in fact found someone who I could trust to complete the work in my home.  Needless to
say, I hired Albert's Painting to complete my project.  The rest of Al's staff was equally as courteous and professional and the entire crew met the timeline I had to get the work completed over the holidays.  Not only was the work top notch, but the pricing was extremely fair and affordable as well.  Pricing was comparable to other estimates but the professionalism was unmatched.  I can only hope to have this same experience in the future with every vendor I seek to hire.  I will surely be contacting Albert's Painting again in the future for all of my painting requirements and I will absolutely will be recommending Albert's Painting to my friends and family... or anyone for that matter that has a painting requirement.  I would absolutely endorse the work done at my house and be happy to speak to anyone if they would like a referral.  Thanks again Al.

    NTHill Home Renovations
First, I'll begin by saying that without reservation I would recommend Tom and his team for your next renovation project. If the entire premise of Angie's List is to find craftsmen who not only perform excellent work, but also genuinely care about service, professionalism, and ultimately whether you, the client, are happy with the job, then Tom Hill is exactly the type of contractor you want working on your house.

Our project began with a simple upstairs hall bathroom renovation. The whole thing needed to be gutted and my wife and I wanted the front wall bumped out 18" to make it a little larger too. Additionally, we had a handful of odds and ends that we wanted tackled throughout the upstairs; things like installing crown moulding in the bedrooms, adding recessed lighting and ceiling fans in the bedrooms, painting the upstairs hallway, and adding lighting to a large attic area off one of the bedrooms. Tom estimated being able to complete the bathroom and hallway work in 2-3 weeks. The whole project, with the bedroom work, was finished in exactly four weeks, on time and on budget.

All of the work was completed by Tom and his two guys, Pablo and Hugo. All three of them are incredibly polite, respectful workers. We trusted them working in the house while we weren't there and I don't see any reason why you shouldn't either. Throughout the three weeks, Tom was consistently asking how we felt things were going, whether everything looked okay, and always asked our opinion if there was more than one way to do something. A lot of contractors just want to get the job done; Tom wants it to get done the way you want it done. A perfect example of this occurred with the bathtub we special ordered. The first one arrived, they opened the box and one of the edges was cracked. I feel like a lot of contractors would have pressured us to find a replacement at Home Depot right away so that the job wouldn't affect the start date of their next project. Tom applied no pressure at all, helped us decide what best to do, and when we decided to reorder and wait for the tub, adjusted the work schedule accordingly so that they were busy and the timeline stayed pretty much on track.
As for the quality of work, I'm a terrible perfectionist and have done just about every DIY project imaginable in a house myself earlier in life, so I know where shortcuts can be taken. I'm happy to say that I haven't found any of those with this project. Things were simply done the right way.

We first contacted Tom about doing the project several months before they started. Throughout that time, he checked in on a number of occasions to ensure we had secured the necessary fixtures, provided his opinions on how best to purchase certain items, etc. While I don't know if he can assist you with design work (we did the design ourselves), you should not hesitate to pick his brain if you have questions as he has a wealth of information and is very willing to share.

Finally, we have already discussed some potential renovations we want done in our kitchen and Tom will be the first person we call when that is ready to begin.
