They would come in, put holes in my walls, fix the plumbing then leave, telling me to get a drywall person to fix the hole in the wall. Then they gave me a huge bill. So I learned how to take care of it myself... the plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, most flooring and whatever else I came across. I fell in love with ceramic tiling and tiled baths and kitchens became my trademark in houses I renovated. Soon friends were asking me to help them with their projects and were happy to pay me for my services rather than calling a "professional". Eventually I decided to fill the need for a reasonably priced, conscientious and capable handy person with a vast jack-of-all-trades knowledge. I help owners prepare their houses for sale, and I help new owners make necessary adjustments to their new homes. I take care of all the things a single mother just can't get to, and all the things many husbands can't do, either. My "honey-do list" abilities are second to none. I can come to your house and take care of just about anything you can come up with. For the most part, I don't use any outside help except sometimes some hired muscle and I use someone for clients in Collegeville/Harleysville areas. I charge a trip charge of $50 for every trip over 30 minutes one way. I charge $85 for the first hour and $50/hr. after that with a one hour minimum for small jobs. For large jobs I give free quotes to those within 30 minutes of Blue Bell. Otherwise it is $50 for the quote which will go toward the work if I am hired. I do all I can to bring the job in at that amount. On jobs over $1500 I require a $100 deposit at time of acceptance and scheduling. I accept cash, checks, MasterCard/Visa and Paypal payments.
