Business Description: I am an independent handywoman. I learned my trade by working on my own house after it was hit by a tornado, and I found I knew more than the contractor about how to fix it. That was in 1991. Then I moved up to buying fixer-uppers. Every time I went to hire a handyman or contractor I was appalled at their prices and poor attitude, particularly plumbers. They would come in, put holes in my walls, fix the plumbing then leave, telling me to get a drywall person to fix the hole in the wall. Then they gave me a huge bill. So I learned how to take care of it myself... the plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, most flooring and whatever else I came across. I fell in love with ceramic tiling and tiled baths and kitchens became my trademark in houses I renovated. Soon friends were asking me to help them with their projects and were happy to pay me for my services rather than calling a "professional". Eventually I decided to fill the need for a reasonably priced, conscientious and capable handy person with a vast jack-of-all-trades knowledge. I help owners prepare their houses for sale, and I help new owners make necessary adjustments to their new homes. I take care of all the things a single mother just can't get to, and all the things many husbands can't do, either. My "honey-do list" abilities are second to none. I can come to your house and take care of just about anything you can come up with. For the most part, I don't use any outside help except sometimes some hired muscle and I use someone for clients in Collegeville/Harleysville areas. I charge a trip charge of $50 for every trip over 30 minutes one way. I charge $85 for the first hour and $50/hr. after that with a one hour minimum for small jobs. For large jobs I give free quotes to those within 30 minutes of Blue Bell. Otherwise it is $50 for the quote which will go toward the work if I am hired. I do all I can to bring the job in at that amount. On jobs over $1500 I require a $100 deposit at time of acceptance and scheduling. I accept cash, checks, MasterCard/Visa and Paypal payments. I offer 10% discount to all Angie's List members on first job under $1500, and $150 discount to all Angie's List members on first job of $1500 or more. Discounts not valid with Storefront Coupon.

AOn the recommendation of friends, we contacted Blue Bell for my 16-year old son. Bob Cunningham, his instructor, came out 3 times. Once early in his learning process. Once in the middle, and the last time, the night before his test. Bob also took him to the test. My son passed with NO errors. He wasn't very nervous and was very confident. We did a lot of driving with him but the lessons with Bob really upped his abilities. Bob Cunningham is calm and gave him great advice and tips. My daughter turns 16 later this year. We will definitely be calling Blue Bell and requesting Bob for her drivers ed!- Beth N.

AThis is a fantastic company. I needed to have my late father’s entire house cleaned out. In addition to the furniture, he had hundreds of book and tens of thousands of papers from his whole life, in the basement. The papers had been stored in hundreds of plastic bins. I had stressed about those papers and bins but Junkluggers took care of everything. They first provided me a quote about two weeks prior (although they can usually do it much faster, they accommodated my need to extend the date of service) and then arrived on time, ready to work. They were the nicest group of guys who were very compassionate about my deceased father and handled all of his things with respect. I had gone through the papers prior, and had a large number that needed to be shredded. They put those papers in bags and hauled them over to their facility where they were shredded immediately. The furniture was put on trucks and donated. I was able to leave after feeling confident that the young man in charge was very capable and trustworthy. The entire cleanout took 8 hours and when it was done, they took me in a tour of the place to make sure everything was to my liking. I was so impressed. They had remembered to leave items that I had requested be left but the rest of the place was cleaned out to perfection. A few days later, I received an itemized list of donated items that can be used for tax deductions. I would not hesitate to use them in the future because it was a fantastic experience.- erin d.

ABrian Foster and Tim came the same day around 4 pm. They tried to tighten the toilet tank valve instead of replacing it but it was still seeping. They quoted me a price BEFORE starting the work The went away to get material and replacement valves from the nearest hardware store. Worked very professionally and fast. They used a special cramping tool with special copper connections to avoid soldering of the garden hose faucet isolation valves. Would never hesitate to use them again anytime, and would recommend them to all my friends and neighbors..

ASteve is very punctual, exacting, and precise. Job went as planned and it works perfectly. Only problem with the job is the price which I feel was a bit high. But, I guess you get want you pay for....
