Remodeling Kitchen And Bath reviews in Fort Washington

The work was handled by real pros who know their stuff. Nancy, Larissa, Kyle, Brian work so well together. We were very fortunate to have them. After my husband and I had a bad experience with a competitor in Spring House, who offered a lot and did nothing, we turned to Performance with a big request. Could your team design a new kitchen, laundry room, pantry and den, within 6 months? Thanksgiving is a huge holiday for us and we were having family from all over the US fly in. They were cautious and said that the schedule would be very tight but they thought they could do it. The Performance team was thorough and meticulous throughout. They were involved from beginning to end. They were in touch with all of the contractors and subcontractors, keeping them on schedule. They made visits when requested to the house and several on their own initiative. The result was a huge success. Project was done early, per their schedule which they had been updating with us all along. The rooms look sensational. I wanted more cabinet space. Got it. My husband wanted more light in all rooms . We got that. Workmanship? The best. We are very happy and our friends, neighbors and family have expressed amazement at how good the house looks. We are so grateful.

Tom and his crew remodeled my kitchen and powder room, and they did an exceptional job! Their price is very competitive and quality is second to none. Tom is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and went the extra mile to make sure that every detail was done right. I would highly recommend Total Home Solution and hope to work with Tom again on other projects in the future.

Each time we use Frank's services, we are beyond pleased. He is always there when he says he'll be there and he communicates regularly. He stops by in the evening to see how the day's work went to ensure quality.
His team, with Keith as the onsite manager, is always courteous, professional and clean. They always make sure to leave your home in good shape before leaving for the day.
He has so many amazing people working with him--his plumbers, electricians, carpenters , tile guys--everyone is just great!
    Wouldn't even consider another contractor.

Couldn't have gone any better.  Vince was extremely responsive, flexible, and easy to work with.  He was organized and there was little to no down time.  The work was done in 11 days.  The quality of the work was excellent.

Provider showed up on time and didn't stop working until the project was done. It transformed what was eye sore into something we show off routinely. The cleanup was exceptional and left us "very" satisfied.

I was very impressed by Jack's quality of work and his patience in explaining his progress and any issues he came up against. He performed the majority of the work himself and was on-time every day until the project was finished.

    Overall:
    • -After a month of heavy use, the whole family remains thrilled with our new kitchen for it?s absolute beauty, quality, and wonderful functionality.  We are actively enjoying it every single day.
     - The overall process went smoothly, at a good pace, and was pleasant and fun and exciting as each stage was completed
     - We started, maintained, and leave this project with full respect and admiration for the Design team (Gene, Donna), and the Construction Team (Jordan, Michael) who each delivers expertise and high quality and are passionate, responsive, fair, and easy to work with.
    Design Phase:
     - Owner Donna and Designer Gene met with us and listened, advised, and rapidly demonstrated, with ideas and drawings and  demonstration of materials in their store, that they understood specifically what we were looking for, and that they had the expertise to deliver.
     - The design took 2 rounds and multiple meetings and all our ideas, needs were incorporated. Gene has tremendous understanding of how to create functionality, practicality, and harmony together.  We are so glad we went for a professional designer. Later, when we wanted to add items (e.g. extra sink, extra under-counter fridge) Gene incorporated them easily.
     - Cost was a concern; main variables were the costs of the materials and during the design phase we explored several key tradeoffs and landed somewhat better from cost perspective.
     - Both my husband and I wanted to be highly involved in all aspects of the project; our ideas, questions, comments, need for detail, etc. were welcome and incorporated.
     - There are so many decisions that need to be made throughout the process.  Donna and Gene alternatively lead/advised/accepted with each decision depending on how much help we needed for each.  Very collaborative.  Here?s an example: Originally I selected a creamy white color cabinet paint; but when I chose the granite (alone), Donna immediately detected that the cabinet color would have
to change from a ?yellow-white? to a ?blue/beige white? and she was so right!  This little decision took 2 extra weeks and a lot of work for Donna and me to get right, but the final result is perfect and would have looked bad if she had not caught this.
    Construction phase:
     - Jordan?s project oversight and Michaels? talent and craftsmanship combined with a strong design made this phase go smoothly
    overall
     - Team was very supportive and provided careful demolition of old kitchen so that it could be for reuse by habitat for humanity (They only accept if good condition.
     - First week was prep of site; Michael discovered several surprise issues when the walls were taken down, but then suggested creative and solid solutions, collaborated with us, and proceeded successfully
     - We can?t say enough good about Michael, his abilities, his craftsmanship, his design skills, his creativity and solutions, his work ethic, his willingness to work with us, his willingness to go the extra step/hour, and his drive to ensure our satisfaction.  We included Michael at the ?opening? dinner with our extended family.
     - We felt informed and the communication channels stayed open and functioning throughout the project across the team.  Gene and Donna remained involved throughout the construction phase.
    Issues:
     - Construction time was 1-2 weeks longer than predicted; this was acceptable and due to combined factors under our control, Ferrarini control, and no one?s control.  We could have hastened the process but had the time and preferred to let it go for full quality.
    - Not sure how it works in other projects, but there was a mix of what we purchased directly through Ferrarini, things Ferrarini helped choose and we paid directly, and things we just went out to buy.  Sometimes they helped even if we were buying direct (e.g. appliances).  But with invoices coming from many directions, and responsibility for delivery mixed, we sometimes got confused ? I just recommend keeping a clear list of what the home owner responsibility is vs. what the contractor will completely manage.

Soon after I purchased the Big Deal, I received an email stating that they had received the request and someone would be in touch in two weeks to schedule an in-home appointment. A week or so later I received a call and scheduled an appointment. The representative arrived as scheduled and noted my preferences, took pictures and measurements of the current Master Bath and asked me questions about what I wanted. The representative was courteous and easy to talk to and seemed to understand what I wanted. He advised me that he would take the details back to the office and a designer would work up the plans and would get back to me in a couple of weeks.
Several weeks later I received a call that the preliminary design was done. Remodeling Concepts requires this meeting to be at their showroom (as noted previously and is so that they can show you their showroom with examples of the type of fixtures they have suggested).
I met with their designer and she went over the drawings, specifications and materials. She then presented the cost estimate if Remodeling Concepts would do the job.
I thought the design was very good, the estimate was appropriate and they were professional.
The Big Deal was to get this preliminary design and estimate for $75.00. I grabbed this opportunity because I wanted to redo my Master Bathroom, but had no idea how much it would cost. This was a cheap way to get an approximation. Remodeling Concepts seemed to be open to modifications of the design if needed. I would certainly get another estimate/design from then when I decide to actually have the remodel done.

Paul started strong and performed all rough in work well. Drywall crew was sub-contracted, and they did a good job. Note: I placed a performance bonus on timely completion of work. The problem started with the electrical. Our township code calls for arc-fault breakers to be installed in all new work circuits. His electrician was also his framer and utility man. He got it wrong (3) times. Final sign off was just past incentive time, but I went ahead and paid the performance bonus anyway.

We discovered a problem with the toilet immediately. It flushes, but continues to cycle for more than 30 minutes. We finally unplug it to stop it. Calls to Paul to sort it out go unanswered. We finally contacted the manufacturer and they have given us recommendations on what to try. Based on our description, the toilet was installed improperly.

Looks like we're headed to court.

We had a major bathroom renovation project that required the replacement and reworking of a good portion of our household plumbing.  Unbelievably, the hardest part of the project was finding a reliable plumber.  We had nearly given up after going through 6 plumbers that were either grossly overpriced (probably to avoid the job), uncomfortably shady (gave us an estimate without even coming over to look at the job, or only giving the area a cursory glance), or just plain flaky (gave us an unbelievably "bargain" estimate, then we never heard from them again, wouldn't return phone calls, etc.).
We finally found Philip Schafer on Angie's list and gave him a call -- within less than a day, I got a call back from him, and he was in the house the next day to appraise the job.  He really took his time to figure out the best way to tackle all of the different parts of the project, he explained everything he planned to do in great detail, and was completely honest about everything, including parts of the job he was unsure about.  He gave us a fair, detailed written estimate for the work and stuck to it through the entire job, never once bumping up the price for "unexpected additional work."
During the project, he and his crew were always courteous and thoughtful of our schedule and living situation, especially concerning times when the water needed to be shut off.  He always made sure the work and traffic areas were cleaned up, all extraneous materials were disposed of, and that nothing in the house got broken or damaged.  His work was quite simply excellent -- all of the drain pipes worked perfectly with no leaks or backups, he did an excellent job of routing the drainage through difficult areas in the basement so that they would not interfere with the structure of the existing rooms downstairs, all of the water inlet plumbing looked unobtrusive and worked perfectly with no leaks, and all of the fixtures were installed with the greatest of care.  At the end of the project, everything looked excellent and operated perfectly.
In summary, there is just no way that I can possibly give this guy enough praise.  We handed him one heck of a job, and he stood up to the task in every way.  His work was excellent and fairly priced, and he's a genuinely straight-shooting honest guy (which I value above all else).  He was worth every penny we paid and probably a lot more.  I am definitely keeping him on our speed dial for future projects and/or plumbing problems.
