Oral Surgery reviews in Fairfield

Teeth were cleaned and xrayed. I was told I needed ten crowns as teeth could not be refilled. There was not enough tooth left to do that. I also needed a bridge to replace a broken crown but would have to go to an oral surgeon to have the root removed. I accepted all that. Was told that each crown would be $1,500 to $1,600. Oral surgery was at another dentist, probably around $1,000. I have dental insurance but they are not a network and quot;provider, and quot; so that was of little help. When I told them I could not afford $15,000 to $20,000, the response has always been, and quot;Put it on a credit card!and quot; I had the same two years ago when I went there, and I did put my implants on credit. That was why I did not go back for two years while I paid off that debt! Atmosphere of the office is very cold. Certainly professionally decorated, complete with massage chair. In a word- PRETENTIOUS, and for me, totally uncomfortable. Administrative staff all dressed the same in black suits, looked like Stepford wives. Instead of coming across as professional, it just comes across as cold, distant, and arrogant. This practice is definitely profit driven. Caring for the patient is secondary. I always felt as if I was being blamed for having lousy teeth and not enough money for them to fix them. This is the worst atmosphere of a medical office that I have ever experienced. If you have a lot of money, I suppose it's considered sophisticated. Dental care was adequate, I suppose. But, when I found my new provider, just a few days after my October visit to Samuel Dental Arts, it was immediately determined that I had an infection in my jaw bone, caused by the broken root, and that was immediately treated and the root was removed in the new office. Samuel Dental Arts missed that. I will never go back there. My new dentist is kind, compassionate, gentle, and sings to the country and western station piped through the office as she works. There is a Salt Water Fish Tank in the waiting room and TV. AND...they take my insurance.
