The cleaning and exam went very well. In talking with the hygienist Bob, I learned that I should consider getting a different dental sleep guard because I was beginning to experience tenderness from stress clenching at night.  I have had extensive work done and his concern was that I would cause damage if the issue wasn't properly addressed. He was absolutely spot on and we are now waiting for the new guard to arrive. This is just one example of the kind of care I receive at Samuel's Dental Arts.
I switched to Samuel's Dental Arts after my previous dentist retired and have never regretted the decision. The staff is 100% committed to the patient's comfort and dignity.  They truly care about providing the best possible outcome while protecting the patient's future oral well being.  From the doctors to the hygienists to the assistants to the administrative staff, they work in harmony to provide a comfortable, thorough dental care experience. I have recommended them to friends many times and will continue to do so.  I give Samuel's Dental Arts in Gettysburg a five star rating!

They are all very personable and sweet. They respond quickly and can get me in early if needed They are very flexible and easy to schedule with. They usually schedule the children at the same time The care is wonderful and I have no complaints.

Teeth were cleaned and xrayed. I was told I needed ten crowns as teeth could not be refilled. There was not enough tooth left to do that. I also needed a bridge to replace a broken crown but would have to go to an oral surgeon to have the root removed. I accepted all that. Was told that each crown would be $1,500 to $1,600. Oral surgery was at another dentist, probably around $1,000. I have dental insurance but they are not a network and quot;provider, and quot; so that was of little help. When I told them I could not afford $15,000 to $20,000, the response has always been, and quot;Put it on a credit card!and quot; I had the same two years ago when I went there, and I did put my implants on credit. That was why I did not go back for two years while I paid off that debt! Atmosphere of the office is very cold. Certainly professionally decorated, complete with massage chair. In a word- PRETENTIOUS, and for me, totally uncomfortable. Administrative staff all dressed the same in black suits, looked like Stepford wives. Instead of coming across as professional, it just comes across as cold, distant, and arrogant. This practice is definitely profit driven. Caring for the patient is secondary. I always felt as if I was being blamed for having lousy teeth and not enough money for them to fix them. This is the worst atmosphere of a medical office that I have ever experienced. If you have a lot of money, I suppose it's considered sophisticated. Dental care was adequate, I suppose. But, when I found my new provider, just a few days after my October visit to Samuel Dental Arts, it was immediately determined that I had an infection in my jaw bone, caused by the broken root, and that was immediately treated and the root was removed in the new office. Samuel Dental Arts missed that. I will never go back there. My new dentist is kind, compassionate, gentle, and sings to the country and western station piped through the office as she works. There is a Salt Water Fish Tank in the waiting room and TV. AND...they take my insurance.

I arrived and only waited a couple of minutes before the hygienist called me back. She updated my health record and did a great job of cleaning and reviewing any issues I had. The dentist then checked and also asked about me and my family. A great experience.

He is very good. He has great skill and is very fair. He is not cheap but he knows what he is doing and he is worth it. I have been very afraid of dentists in the past as I have a very sensitive mouth and others have hurt me in the past. He however has been very gentle and has never hurt me. He is fantastic regarding no pain issues and I would highly recommend him.
