In September we had to put down our beloved pet Trip 12.5 yr old lab. The staff was so kind, stayed with us to inform us of the process, completed the process and left us to be alone once completed. They even offered us a private exit to leave the building. They think of all the details. We are now blessed with a new pup, took her there on Friday and again the details they think of are amazing. We were able to schedule our next appointment and pay for the visit all from the exam room. This is very important for people with a new pup, not fully vaccinated.

Both of my dogs are recent rescue adoptions, one is a former puppy mill breeder dog and the other came from a breeder/hoarder. They each have their own unique needs and my sitter recognizes this and handles each one appropriately. I can not express how appreciative I am of their services. I have been using them for about 3 1/2 months now. It's comforting to know that my dogs are getting excellent care while I am am at work. They make my feel like I am their only client, which I recognize is not the reality. The best way to describe the care they provide is to say that they treat my dogs like they are their own. I don't trust many people to care for my dogs the way I do, but they have proven that I can absolutely trust them.

The application process is straight forward and once references are checked you are notified that you have been approved.  You can either select an existing dog or provide details on what you are looking for.
The arrange for you to meet you selected pet.  In my case in was at an adoption meet and great.  Since PA law does not allow the adoption to take place at the meet and greet location you have to drive to the office to complete the process.  It would be helpful if that was stated upfront.
I have had my adopted dog for about a month and the only problem I had was she had coccidiois, which is not uncommon with puppies and fortunately I had schedule an appointment with my vet 2 days after the adoption.  She received her treatment and is now fine.  I think they should make it mandatory that all dogs get examined by a vet within a set number of days after adoption.  SPCA requires this in our area.  She was a little underweight since they had switched her to feeding twice a day.  My vet had me go back to 3 times a day she in 2 weeks she gained 5 lbs and is doing well.
She was already spayed and had a microchip at the age of 3 months.
She was listed as a lab mix, however she is more a terrie mix than a lab which is a little disappointing but I still love her.
She has adjusted well to her new home and her brother.

I've been going to PVC since 2005 when I adopted my first lab. They are extremely professional and knowledgeable and I look for them on advice in caring for my dogs. They've provided great referrals when one dog needed cataract surgery and another needed a hip replacement. They were especially caring when it came time to say goodbye to two of my dogs - they were 100% supportive. I highly recommend them.

They are excellent. I use them a couple of times a year. They have a newsletter and they have Saturday hours. They provide a monthly discount every month on some service. They are just awesome with the pets. They stay on time with their appointments and we don't sit and wait forever. They have extended hours in the evenings which is helpful. Their prices are fair in relation with other vets in the area. I've been to multiple veterinarians and I feel that I get what I pay for. It is a very clean place and the people from the desk to the doctors are very friendly. They also offer different diagnostic tests right there.

As has been the case over the years, the staff at this place made everything very easy and always did what was best for our dog.
When I called the morning of 3/1, the staff handled the call professionally and took control to make everything as quick and painless for our dog and supported us in our time of need.
This is no different that the treatment we've received over the years. They always supported us, but in the end, they were not afraid to tell us what our dog needed and let us know how we should adapt. I respect Dr. McCahon and her staff and appreciate the years of service she gave our dog to ensure she lived the best life she could and was comfortable in her older years.

For this appointment, my cat, Penny and I waited a little longer than usual, but our visit with Dr. Brenda Perkins went well. Dr. Perkins apologized for the wait as soon as she entered, and explained that she was talking with an owner about an upcoming painful decision that took some extra time. I've been in that position before with my previous dog, who was my great friend, and clearly understood the pain involved and reassurance needed from their doctor. As a matter of fact, Dr. Perkins was our vet then, and I felt appreciative of the time and care she took to listen and give advice. She's a natural with animals and all professional! Years ago, I moved my dog to her practice from another when I started to see her health decline, and truly feel that she gave me extra years with my beloved dog. .... This practice has all women vets, and as I saw the others over the years on short notice, I recognized that each nurtures and cares about the dynamics of our family with our furry friends.... The groomer, Angela is wonderful- caring- and gentle and clearly has a unique ability to often calm the most nervous of dogs (and cats). Our dogs always gets a great hairdo, and comes home happy.... The front staff has worked in this hospital for as long as I could remember. They're knowledgeable, accommodating and listen when you call with a concern. They help to instill confidence in the hospital, and for all these reasons, I'm happy to recommend this facility. Additionally, the prices are more than fair and I've never felt that this practice takes advantage of folks. They care about animals and people!

My dog, LadyBug, is a special needs dog.  She had a stroke in February 2013, and has been rehabilitating since.  She has a pretty long list of needs, and I have been hesitant and worried about petcare for my work travels.  I was so pleasantly relieved to find Gayle and Purr-fect Care.  She employs vet techs, and my first meeting with Gayle included not just her, but the vet tech that would be Lady Bug's caretaker.  They spent a considerable amount of time patiently going through the details - medicines, walking, etc.  To date, I have used Puff-fect Care twice - once for a day-long trip (2 visits) and just yesterday for an overnight (4 visits over 24 hours).  Gayle offers multiple visits per day, and will even sleep in your home.  I just went the multiple visit route and it worked so well.  Bug was happy, and healthy, and not bored, and ready to play when I came home.  Such a great alternative if you have to be away from home.
I am picky, and Bug is like my baby.  I have full trust in Gayle, and am not so torn when I have to travel for work. Peace of mind, big-time.
Pet owners:  I 100% say, GO FOR IT!

The service is absolutely fantastic! The reservation process is smooth and easy. We receive confirmation for our dates requested right away. PetCare group shows up while we are away to care for our kitties and sends periodic email updates on how they are doing. Again, this aspect really helps ease our minds. Our cats are always happy to see us when we return and well fed. The litter is also always kept clean! Thank you!

They did a wonderful job caring for my little dog! I was nervous about leaving her with strangers, and they said I could call and check in whenever I felt the need. She had a minor foot injury as well, and they administered her antibiotics without a hitch. The services are not cheap, but the facility is 5 years old, looks brand new, the people are very friendly and professional, and I believe you do get what you pay for.
