    LIONVILLE CAR CARE
Both vehicles are on the older side and had a few issues. They explained my options and actually suggested holding off on a repair. I felt they were doing good by me and I will be using them going forward.

    Brandywine Coach Works
I already know that Brandywine Coach Works is expensive.  But I have had cars that have specialized paint colors and I think it is worth paying more knowing the job will be done right.  However, this time when they re-placed the piece of vinyl on top of my back bumper (can't remember the name of it) it was slightly crooked.  I noticed this as soon as I got home.  I called and they requested that I bring it back in so they could look at it.  They agreed it was crooked although the representative said "the customer is always right".  This did not set well with me as it was their work that was not done right.  He agreed to order a new vinyl strip and call me in a week to rectify.  They never called.  I didn't either. I am sure I could have called and complained and they would have taken care of it but I found my follow-up visit insulting.  I am still aggravated.  I just took our third car in for an estimate.  It was 300 dollars more then to have a Toyota dealer do the repair.  Everyone knows dealers are no deal!  I now scrutinize Brandywine Coach Works.   checked that I would use this provider in the future but I view them much differently then I once did.  Maybe I would use them.

    RAY MURPHY'S WINDSHIELD REPAIR
I had a very small ding on my windshield.  Ray was able to come out within a few days of my call and was on time for the appointment.  Because of the small size of the ding, he repaired it for free.  You don't seem to find that kind of professional courtesy much anymore!  He did a great repair job and I would highly recommend Ray to anyone.

    Trek Glass Tinting
I contacted Joe on a Saturday via email. He quickly responded and performed the service on the following Monday. He was prompt and professional. I would recommend Trek for window tinting.

On-Site Detailing - We Come To You
When I contacted them to make an appointment, they did not get back to me. I had to contact them again. The nice lady said she'd been swamped by requests because of the special deal they were offering through Angie's List. I got a date.
The guy doing the detailing showed up literally three or four hours early, because no one at the company had told him what time the appointment was for or even my name. I was at an off-site conference, fully prepared to be back to the office in time for the appointment, and the poor guy just sat in his truck and waited. About twenty minutes before the scheduled time, he called me on my cell; I was on my way to the office.
The detail work itself was OK, not spectacular but certainly satisfactory. The only thing I would have expected is RainX on my windshield, to at least for a while keep my visibility in high rains at a better level.
The guy was obviously frustrated and let on that he was, which I guess is not the most professional behavior, but then again the company had him stuck waiting hours for the customer. I would have been ticked off, too. I tipped him well because I hated what he went through.
The other thing I realized, thanks to him telling me, is that they typically don't work in PA, as they're a DE company. They should not offer special deals on Angie's List to PA members if they're not prepared to do work in PA.

    Trek Glass Tinting
Pleased with all aspects of Trek's work.Joe responded to my initial inquiry quickly  and came by to go over some tint choices. He and his son  then arrived on the scheduled day  and quickly , neatly and efficiently installed the tint - we even added a window since they were here - no problem. I  like the results and the fact that  my hallway is no longer a sun-fueled blast furnace.I highly recommend Trek tinting.

    EXTON TIRE CO

I had an unusual opportunity when taking my car to Exton Tire, I had already had my car inspected. Unfortunately the first place I took my car to was closing up shop forever, so they couldn't complete the job. They were nice enough to inspect the car and gave me the results and they didn't charge me for it. With that in hand, I went to Exton Tire (ET) as it was in walking distance from my home. Since my inspection was almost up, I needed to act. They took the car the next day. What a difference. While the first shop said my brakes were fine. ET decided I needed new brake cylinders. While the first shop found no problem with the front end, ET said I had a bad rocker arm. My windshield has a small pock just below eye level on the drivers side. This happened 11 years ago and was fixed the day it happened. The first shop which had done about 5 state inspections on my car never mentioned it. ET insisted I had to fix it which I refused. This became a somewhat heated issue. The reason for my seeking this second shop was that the errors indicated by the check engine light pointed to either a cracked intake manifold or a bad gasket between the manifold and the block. The first shop didn't have time to do the work as they were losing their space. ET claimed they didn't have anyone qualified to do the work. The work reference that both shops use indicated a four to five hour job. I suspect that they like to be a high volume shop and didn't want to tie up a bay for that long. The long and short of this is I did not get my stickers.

    Meineke Car Care Center
Have used Bill and Co. for years, have not found anyone in the exton area that is as responsive to my need or expeditious when doing work. Prices are about average, but quality is far above average. Really very good company. Highly recommend.

    K & S Auto Service
If you need auto service , this is where you need to go. I had been given estimates by some other places for some needed work on my truck. After hearing some high estimates, I went to Kand S in Malvern. They assessed the situation , made some recommendations and came in at almost 1/2 off of the other estimates I had received. No brainer there!. They even showed me directly on the truckr what they were going to do , instead of just telling me. It's sort of a non-descript shop , nothing fancy but I was treated honestly and fairly , and got good work done at a reasonable price . This is were we go from now on for our cars.

    CJ's Tire & Automotive Services - Lionville
I had a coupon for an inspection at CJs in Lionville. Nice clean place , polite people. They performed the inspection readily , pointed out some possible future concerns and offered a non-pushy price to do the work. I settled for just the inspection at this time but I appreciated the heads up. For a small donation to their charity , I was given a coupon to Chick-Fila ( across the street ) so I had lunch while waiting for my vehicle. No problems and saved a bunch with their coupon - on the truck and lunch!. Good experience all around.
