A Touch of Class Remodeling INC
Great! I have had many projects completed in my 30 year old home and have used various contractors. Touch of Class was by far the most professional group Ive hired. The room was an add shape and there were some challenges and Steve and his crew made it seem simple. The design results were very pleasing to my teen daughter and the structural work was pleasing to us. We plan to use Touch of Class again this Spring for another project.

Excellent experience from sales to installation. Robert was personable and thorough and was able to accommodate our need for quick installation. The team that installed the flooring were professional and worked hard. They encountered unexpected problems, but got them resolved right away. Part of the floor had to be sanded to eliminate uneven spots and they quickly got it done. They pointed out a floor-installed elec. outlet that had been covered by carpet and advised how to make it safe, even bringing in their own electrical guy to rewire it. Even though they were not installing carpet, they brought in someone who worked with carpeting to deal with a peripheral carpet issue. There was no extra charge for these two people coming out to ensure everything was done perfectly. They did a great job. I would recommend this company and those installers to anyone.

They did a fabulous job. They were well prepared and moved a seven floor headboard and some heavy furniture before starting the job. Anyone who picks this company will be more than satisfied. They go beyond the duties of a professional carpeting installation.

Excellent service.  Hired them on a whim because they sold the supplies we needed for our job.  The young guy that came out was super friendly and did a great job!  Ran into a minor snafu and the employee as well owner went above and beyond working with me for a job well done!

It went well.  We were pressed for time and they worked with us and did a very professional job within the time frame we needed.  We were well pleased.  It made the apartment look fabulous, and they were very easy to work with.

    Floor It Flooring
I have been waiting a while to write this review because quite frankly I can't decide if I'm satisfied or dissatisfied with the carpet and the experience. Below are the pros and cons from our carpet install.
    • Pros
    • -Owner is extremely responsive in communication via phone, Angie's List, text, email, etc.
    • -Owner does most of the work himself with the help of apprenticeship

-Price for the carpet and install was great
-Only required one day for complete install
    -Very knowledgeable staff
-We have been unhappy with the seams since the install. We contacted the owner who did quickly send us a tool that you can use to cosmetically hide the seams at no cost to us which was nice; however, some of the seams were ultimately just done poorly or at least what I'm assuming is poor  (For example, one side of the seam will overlap, there will be a gap in the middle and all the way to the other side of the wall--or just a gap along the entire seam--etc.) We contacted the owner--again, very responsive--but I did feel as though he tried to wordsmith me on why the seams were like this (contracting, carpet has to settle for a year, the carpet manufacturer dictates how the seams are laid, etc). To the point that I stopped him and said that I didn't have an issue with all of the seams or the location of the seams, I only had an issue with the ones that were always visible or can be felt underfoot due to an overlap or a gap. I'd say about half of the seams in our house were laid like this. The remainder are invisible to my eye which is lovely. I offered to send a picture and he offered to come out if he felt it necessary. We ultimately didn't send a picture because we couldn't get one clear enough to view via text or email, though I'm sure he probably would've come out to see it in person if we had followed up again (see below as to why we didn't).
-When we were discussing the install I asked if he could replace our gold metal brackets that hold down our carpet against other flooring like our vinyl and hardwood. He said that that was typically done when the other types of flooring are replaced. Obviously we trusted that; however, we have since had our other types of flooring replaced and during the quote process, I mentioned this to all three companies bidding on the work and they said this was inaccurate. That it was ultimately just easier on the carpet installer to not change them out. Again, I'm not a carpet installer or a flooring installer at all, but this was my experience and feedback on it when discussing with other flooring professionals. In light of this information, we didn't feel comfortable requesting him to come back out to look at the seams because I didn't necessarily trust that our best interest would be kept in mind.
-A few of our walls/trim/front door/front doorknob were banged up during the carpeting process. Nothing major in terms of wood or drywall damage, just some painting work. The front doorknob however was permanently dented/scratched into the metal.

Like I said, have struggled with my overall satisfaction with this transaction since August which is the reason for the delay in reviewing. I think if someone wanted a quick turnaround for a decently priced carpet, I'd recommend, but otherwise, if they had the time or money to go elsewhere, I wouldn't recommend.

    Adair's Brunnerville Flooring, Inc
Adair's came to our house to provide an estimate for a new kitchen floor, backsplash, and bathroom tile. They were on time and knowledgeable. It took quite some time to get the estimate and when it did come back it was only for the kitchen floor. I followed up for the backsplash estimate and received that quickly. I never received anything on the bathroom. We added on the backsplash and bathroom estimates when he came, so perhaps they thought they were secondary?
We returned to the showroom to look at tile options for the kitchen floor and backsplash and took samples home. From the samples we decided to do the backsplash first, prior to choosing floor. We returned to the showroom and showed the staff which backsplash tile we wanted and asked to be contacted with the updated estimate (prior estimate had been based on an average) and then we'd like to move forward with scheduling. Never heard from them again.
It seemed as though I had to work very hard for them to take my business, so we ultimately gave our business (three bathrooms, backsplash and kitchen floor) to another company locally.

    Advanced Flooring Group
Terry was fantastic. Extremely knowledgable and patient with all of our questions. He completed a whole house estimate for various flooring types and phases of the project. We ultimately chose another flooring company for the project due to a specific sale they were having on the carpet we were interested in--otherwise we would have definitely hired advanced flooring group!

    Bareville Flooring & Tile
Outstanding work in all aspects of the work. Removal of old flooring was done completely, and disposal was also handled as part of the project. Installation of the hardwood floor required skill and artistry to make an outstanding appearance from the relatively small boards comprising our product selection. New trim was installed, rather than attempting to recycle the old edge trim, as some installers do. The carpet installation is flawless; no visible seams, very tight installation on stairs, and consistently clean edges around all perimeters.

The quality and price were excellent. The various trades were very professional and arrived on time. The project actually was completed faster than I expected. I would definitely use them again on my next remodel.
