House Painting reviews in Elkins Park

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • We have a large house with wood siding. There was also some carpentry that was needed due to deterioration. Glen's price was reasonable including the carpentry work. The work kept getting interrupted because of this summer's crazy rain but Glen's crew kept at it whenever possible. An emergency roof repair added to the problems since we found water damage in a segment of wall. Dan, Glen's carpenter and crew chief (?) was amazing. His work was great. The result was a beautiful paint job and a house that looks like new.

  • Cons: None observed Pros: Price, attitude, quality of work, attention to detail, repairs, communication, cleanup, quality of paint, work ethic. Wayne came over on schedule to do the estimate. The estimate was fair and reasonable . The four painters he sent were outstanding. They worked for 4 days, 6-9 hours per day on a neglected 1880 townhome & garage. I've received thank you from the neighbors for the beautiful work. I consider Wayne and his team trusted friends. I would highly recommend them. Well done!

  • Wesley and his team were on time every day. Whenever I made a suggestion, they were quick to take care of it. The house looks gorgeous. Before I hired Wesley I got four estimates. His came in the middle. This is a team that works well together. They are extremely polite and pleasant to work with.

  • Jim Mcdaniel of Mcdaniel services is top quality service. Once you meet him and hire him, you will think you hit the jackpot in character service people. I have been a home owner for almost 20 years and there is no one I would trust more to work in or outside of my home than Jim McDaniel. You have to call this man if you have small or medium size jobs... If he can't do the work, he won't take the job so before you hire a contractor to do work, do yourself a favor and call McDaniel service. As a teacher, I know good people when I meet them and jim is another service provider that I know would make his past teachers proud.

  • Carlos and team are a pleasure to work with. Carlos is a people person and he prides himself in doing a great job. They showed up everyday on time did everything I asked as well as offering suggestions and help in other areas. I am very pleased with the service and plan on working with them again in the future for any painting needs.

  • He completed the project -- amazingly -- within budget and on time with winter coming. Tom takes special care with communications, so he wastes no time or money correcting avoidable errors. I got daily updates and briefings on the next part of the project. His people are trained, competent, reliable, and skilled. No drama, no surprises, except that there are no drama and no surprises. Tom makes good recommendations about colors. Warmly recommend.

And a bonus: Tom and his crew know old houses and EPA requirements regarding safe lead paint removal. (No orbital sanders or power washing!) That's incredibly important if you have kids, a garden, or you just want to keep lead out of the soil and water table and yourself out of court. His carpenter is a perfectionist. My house looks great. He charges the same as the bad actors who cut corners on safety. Go with Heiler. They're the best.

  • Can't say I was overly impressed.  Our address was just "slightly" outside their zone and supposedly they were checking on whether they could service our area.  Four hours later I received a call saying "they are really backed up and they can't service us at this time."  Quite interesting because I said I didn't need to have the work done until maybe Thanksgiving.  My guess the job was too small (1 room and 3 bathrooms) and they decided they didn't want the work.   Too backed up given a two month or more window...really?  Next time be honest Nolan--I would have at least given you an A for honesty.

  • After seeing what a good job they had done on power-washing my back patio and entrance area, and putting gutter guards on my rear house gutters, I hired them to do this front entrance work.  They did a good job, despite the heat and some other things which had caused some problems with the paint application. Dan came out right away when I called about my concerns about the way the paint looked. He told me that he "wanted (me) to be happy" and would see that everything came out fine. And it did! They smoothed out the rough areas and repainted and made sure I was satisfied! I can't say enough good things about my whole experience with Squeeky Clean Services!

  • Fairly priced.  Did everything we asked with no complaints.  They were sitting outside in the morning waiting for the appointed time - and left everything clean and nice.
    The work looks terrific.

  • I can't say enough wonderful things about Affordable Weaver Painting.  Wayne and his crews are spectacular- polite, clean, thorough, and affordable.  My house looks 1000 times better with fresh paint.  His crews are on time and very skilled.  Wayne also helped me by scheduling some unanticipated work with virtually no notice in time for my open house.  I wouldn't use anyone else in the area.
