The entire process was great. We were given an estimate to replace all the windows in our home online in less than 24 hours. The Owner is the person I spoke with on every occasion and he answered any questions I had in a very timely manner. We were not required to have him come out to our home for a demonstration, but I did ask him to just so we could see what we were getting and to talk about a few of our options. He gladly came to our home and was there less than an hour. The installers(EJ and Dan) were great, both days they were there on time and did a great job with the install. I would gladly recommend this company(and Have) to anyone. Entire process was very painless and was pleasant.

John did an incredible job of repairing, replacing and/or installing on numerous projects around my 150+ year old home. Not only did John perform A+ work, taking the time to preserve the motiff or feel of the old white bricked house, he made the time to discuss what options are available and tailored the task to my needs. John followed my desire for long term solutions over quick patches. A true master craftsman. We started with an estimate in July on a few items that grew at my request while he was performing the initial tasks. The tasks he performed are listed below. The final results were beyond my expectations. I am already planning a few other projects for the near future and replacing the porch deck in the spring. I know I can count on John to bring his skills to keep this old house in tip top shape. Installed a new man door, repaired/replaced spouting, and built/installed new trim around the garage window. The frame is to hold an Anderson screen I had purchased and wanted to secure to the window area. He also engineered a fastening method that will allow me to remove it during the Winter months. Sanded and adjusted the floating panels of the antique front door. This was no small feat and the results keep the feel of the house that a new door would have had difficulty reproducing. Repaired/installed trim around sun porch door and outside crowning in the same area. The crowing replacement took expertise in order to preserve the old copper spouting that is in that area. Everyone else wanted to remove the copper and replace that section with new aluminum spouts. Installed new wood like vinyl trim over rear porch. He suggested the vinyl since this is in an area were molding and wood rot have occurred over the years. We will be replacing another section next spring that may need similar attention. Repaired/replaced damaged tongue and groove planks on rear porch. Installed two replacement windows in bedroom. Installed securing hooks into the brick and workable wood shutters. Without hooks the shutters are prone to moving during heavy wind storms. Sanded and adjusted just about every interior door to close with ease. Decades of use, misaligned hinges and built up paint were the main culperates. He also cut the bottoms of several upstairs doors in preparation of carpet installation. I am confident that there are a few other items that are eluding me at the moment. The bottom line is John is worth his weight in gold.

Communication with Andrew (owner) and installers was top notch. Installation was done in one day with a crew of four who were extremely efficient and knowledgeable. Andrew also stopped by during the installation. I was a little disappointed in the finish of the windows as there were some sharp edges where cuts were made on the vinyl. (Lifts and some mitre joints) Overall a very positive experience with Zen Windows Central PA and everyone involved with the company.

I would recommend Zen Windows to my family, friends and neighbors. The window quality is excellent! With the temperature now being in the teens outside we noticed an immediate difference in the rooms where we replaced the windows to those that had older casement and older replacement windows. The father and son team who installed the replacements were very personable and professional in every way. They were very friendly and made sure the work was satisfactory and cleaned up completely before they left. We were going to wait to have other windows replaced till later this year. But after seeing the new windows, the installers workmanship and the window quality, we have decided to go ahead and have additional windows done now.

Sales Person was WAY to long  (3 hours) on presentation and asked to use the bathroom twice durring presentation. Window quality was Great. Person who came with the finance papers polo shirt was on inside out.  Workers were GREAT and very professional.Price was ok but I might have been able to shop around and find a cheaper price but sometimes hard to compare and did not want to sit through another sales presentation.

We should have known something was up when they offered $1000.00 off on their product -- meaning that their products are extremely expensive.  We ended up getting 2 doors and yes the doors are well-made, worth $7500.00 -- I don't think so.  And their service after they got our order was pathetic.  It was months after the sell before we ever saw the doors and that was only because we were the ones that hounded them as to when we were going to see our doors. The trim colors were switched -- meaning we have white trim when it should be tan and tan when it should be white -- this has never been fixed.  This was a very expensive, painful experience and we would not recommend using this company again.

Everything turned out absolutely wonderful. There was no pressure from the owner. They were very polite, talked me through the process, and made me feel comfortable. This was very good service all around. They were efficient and worked in the cold. I have already referred to others.

One of the windows was very tricky to replace because it was basically a round window in a square hole.  AJ did an excellent job.  The round window in the front looks like it has always been part of the house.  Bob, did a fantastic job getting the window to so good.  The roof no longer leaks and also looks good.  We would recommend AJ to others (and we have) and we would definitely use them again in the future.

I have dealt with several contractors over the years. Some of which are no longer in business. Ray has been around a long time and even though he operates a small contracting business he tries his best to return calls, get quotes and answer questions on a timely basis. As anyone will tell you, remodeling is never cheap. I have taken the cheapest contractors before and have paid for it in the long run.
I met Ray when he was doing some work for my next door neighbor. In fact my neighbor has used him on several of his projects as well.
Ray's prices are reasonable and he is generally pretty fair and straight forward to deal with.
I had some windows installed by a contractor from the west shore by the name of Steve Hurley some years ago. When some of the windows went bad I tried contacting this guy to get me new windows that were still under warranty. Mr. Hurley never lifted a finger to help me and he was the one who put them in. I don't think he is in business anymore and definitely is not listed on this site.
Ray was putting some basement windows in for me and offered to get the replacement window sashes that went bad. He took the information and got the new window sashes for me from Allsides free of charge. Of course I put them in myself, but Ray did me a favor by ordering, picking up and delivering the windows free of charge.
As with all contractors you have to be willing to work with him and be a little flexible on scheduling but he tries to get things done according to your time requirements.

One evening in July, my husband and I heard a loud "popping" sound.  We couldn't decide what the sound was, but after investigating around the house, we saw that one of the panes in our double-paned front door had shattered in place.  The other pane did not shatter. Strange.  We asked a neighbor handyman to fix it, but he was overwhelmed with work, so I contacted Zen Windows, a local company I first saw advertised on Facebook.

After the representative assessed the window, his manager thought that the company could fix it.  They sent me an estimate of the cost which was very reasonable.  Within a week the second representative came to fix the window, arriving at the scheduled time.  He measured the door, the window, and the frame around the window.  After taking snapshots of the window which was still in place, he spoke with his manager who determined that the job would be a job more suitable to a professional glass company.  I may have to replace the entire door!  The young man was very kind yet disappointed that his company could not help me.  Well, they certainly tried!

I appreciate Zen Windows's communication skills, prompt responses, and honesty.  Soon after the representative left my home, I received an email with a recommendation for a glass specialist.  The young man even offered to call the specialist for me to set up an appointment.  Now, that is service!
